Miami Heat TRADE Andrew Wiggins To The Washington Wizards? | NBA Trade Rumors
So, could the Miami Heats be trading away Andrew Wiggins to the Washington Wizards this 2025NBA off season? Well, here on the screen is a trade proposal or a trade idea from fadeawayorld.net. The link to this article is down below in case you want to go ahead and check it out for yourself, but this trade would see the Miami Heat receiving CJ McCollum and the Washington Wizards receiving Andrew Wiggins and Haimey Hawkins Jr. So, this trade’s intriguing to me because it was reported a couple days ago or a couple weeks ago now that TJ McCollum is likely not in the long-term future uh planned for this Wizards team. He of course was involved in the Jordan pool trade earlier this off season, but all signs point towards T.J. McCollum potentially getting dealt prior to even playing a single game in Washington. So, based on this information, why would the Miami Heat or sorry, why would the Wizards, I guess, how can I phrase this? Why would both teams be willing to play ball with each other if it’s going to be sort of the same thing going either direction if that makes some sense? Like I think you can make the argument that maybe T.J. McCollum when healthy is a slightly better player than Andrew Wiggins. But Andrew Wiggins is a player that’s also on the trade market. And the Heat made it pretty clear that they want to get rid of him if possible this off seasonason. So I guess by that logic that does make some sense if you really kind of break it down that way that maybe both teams don’t view these players as long-term fits. So why not swap them for each other? And in the Wizards case, you’re getting back a good young player that has some pretty solid trade value in Haime Hawkins Jr. that’s a pretty good move in my opinion from the Wizards perspective. So if you’re able to leverage CJ McCollum, who there’s been reports about them not even wanting him on the team next year. If you’re able to flip that for Andrew Wiggins who in theory is a pretty similar player about an 18 19 point per game guy, can score the basketball, probably not the guy you want leading the offense, but he probably wouldn’t be in this case either. Uh, and Jaime Hawkins Jr. a good young player to add to a young team in this young core. I like this move a lot for the Wizards. And from the Heat perspective, I like it as well if you’re finally able to get rid of Andrew Wiggins and you’re able to upgrade in their opinion versus AJ McCollum. It’s actually a pretty good trade. If he can stay healthy, a bit of a caveat there because injuries are a little bit of a concern for him uh throughout his career. So, interesting trade. If I had to pick a winner, I’m going to probably go with the Wizards because to me, it’s more of a lateral move trading CJ for Wiggins. And if you’re able to throw in Haimei Hawkins is kind of a throwin. I love that move a lot. There’s only some upside there in my opinion. So those are just my thoughts. Leave yours down below.
