Jeff Teague says Clippers’ Chris Paul is BETTER than Mavericks’ Kyrie Irving | Club 520
Hey, this applies to 99% of the world. I mean 99% of the nation, not 98.9. I mean 99. Just like that paternity test you took. Okay? And if you’re the 1% is going to apply to you. But for the rest of y’all, 99% man, tap in. Boost Mobile coverage nationwide. You apply for this is great. Tap in with Boost Mobile. If you switch over to Boost Mobile right now, you can get a iPhone 15 with crazy camera work. That is a 48 megapixel camera for $99.99. That’s right. $99.99 on a 5G network. It’s nationwide. And I’m 99% sure that Boost Mobile just has gave us a crazy deal with this promo. Now, this is crazy. You are the father. It does require a credit qualification, ID verification, and an activation on a $6 plan. Taxes are extra, and 5G speeds may not be available in all areas, but they said it was nationwide, just not in your hood. Your neighbor good though. Have y’all been seeing that U conversation? The Kyrie or CP3 conversation? Give me Chris Paul, bro. I’ve seen that. Yeah, it’s been heavy on that. That was just like, you know, CP, bro. As good as Chris Paul is as a like generating other people’s buckets, Kyrie is just as good as getting buckets. It’s been an interesting conversation. It’s been a very interesting conversation. So, if you had to start your team, who you start your team with? Chris Paul. I know my team going to be a winner for sure. I don’t care about all that. You getting You just want to see a [ __ ] show out. Yeah. Give me Kyrie. Curry Curry is a winner. He is a winner. Yeah, he won. Yeah. Yeah. They said that his, you know, his niche is that if you put him as your second option and all his job is was go kill and not have to worry about leading, you got the best. But they said if you need to start a team off with some leadership and people who can generate shots easier for other people, they go Chris Paul. That’s what I think. That’s a fair that’s a fair assessment. Um me personally, I probably would start my team with Chris Paul. Mhm. Like a young Chris Paul and a young Kyrie Irving. I’mma get the best of both worlds. Chris Paul and Hornets. Chris Paul was crazy. Get a D West and that was crazy. That was crazy, bro. People forget about that CP was top MVP voting CP3 right there. That CP was crazy. That’s how I got to Wake Forest, [ __ ] I ain’t forget. I said that’s how [ __ ] play though [ __ ] I’ll go wake Forwards. Yeah, man. It’s It’s been a very interesting conversation between the two. And then a lot of people say that people overrate Kyrie’s game because how he scores. But I think he’s one of the most efficient hoopers in that situation. But like just the way he does it, everybody fall in love with it. Yeah. 25 is 25. Even if he shoots up for three people, it’s still 25. Yeah. Like Kyrie Irvin’s one of the best basketball players ever. One of the most efficient basketball players ever. Skilled basketball players ever. But it’s not like he averages 35. Yeah. Like when you look at him, he still only averages 25 a game. Yeah. It’s just the way he do it. It’s so beautiful. Yeah, it’s just it’s it’s beautiful. And it’s super efficient as well, too. Yeah, I agree with that. Yeah, it’s just I mean, he’s efficient. He’s one of the best basketball players to ever live cuz like Jeff said, bro, he shoots Tony Parker probably shoot the best layups ever. For real. And nobody says it because Kyrie leaves is pretty. Yeah. But Tony Parker never miss layups. Never. And nobody says nothing about it. I ain’t mad at that. Yeah. Like think about that. Tony Parker couldn’t shoot. Yeah. But that floater automatic layup floaty bucket. That’s all he did. He was one of the most efficient paint scorers in the league and he was 510. No, TP used to get active. Like around the basket, bro. He was elite. No, for sure. Crazy. Yeah. Small guards definitely tap in Tony Parker. But Kyrie Irving, uh, his game is so beautiful. Like you can’t there’s nothing he can’t do with the basketball. No. Right. But when you think about it, like you said, it is only 25. Pretty interesting when you think about it because I would think Kyrie Irving average 30. It probably could though. I mean, he could. Oh, yeah. I mean, it’s Kyrie, but he don’t. Let’s look at his numbers of years. He probably had his highest scoring. It’s probably near that 25 range, I’m sure. 27. He averaged 27 a few times. Yeah, he went 25, 24, 23. Yeah. 27 27 27 27 27. Yeah. Yeah. 50490 club every year, too. Yeah. It’s it’s crazy. I’m I’m rolling crazy. I’m biased. The efficiency and stuff is crazy. You ain’t wrong. But I just You would just think he was like, that’s damn near 50, 40, 90. Oh, no. Usually is. One of the best basketball players to ever live. One of the most efficient. I I see what you I see what y’all saying. So far, it’s like starting a team and trying to get to that promised land. Yeah, you could put a bunch of different players around CP and he can pull the best out of everybody. Yeah. I mean, just look at just look at the teams though, like that OKC team. Yeah, that team wasn’t supposed to be that good. [ __ ] That Clippers team, it was talent, but he brought that [ __ ] together to feed them 50 wins again. That OKC team, we was like, “Wow, why he going there?” Yeah, he turned them up, bro. They was whooping [ __ ] with three yards. Yeah, he got Shay together, bro. Yeah, Shay owed him a couple hundred. [ __ ] Look at the Sher too. They all benefit from that situation. learned how to shoot midies. Yeah. Yeah, for sure. All right, man. Good question. Shout out to coach when he done or some be around the game some way, form or fashion. I can see him being around the game. I can see him coaching cuz he the way he see the game, nobody else. He could probably demand that. I mean, like I think he’d be great like a player development type of person in the league if he wanted to play. It’s like Ron coaching. They just see the game too crazy. You can’t get player not even player development. No. Okay, I could see that. Rono be doing it. Yeah, but he got one of CP. Yeah, he do. But CP is such a different like CP could take over your whole thing. Like, hey, the coach could be coaching and CP could like come in and cuz he’s a better coach than your coach probably. Yeah. So, if I start working with a guy like I could probably like, hey, this is what you need to do. Like, just give me the whole team [ __ ] up. As a matter of fact, you in a practice I’m working with you. Hey, you come here and you come saying CP come [ __ ] some [ __ ] up. I ain’t saying he going to [ __ ] it up. I’m saying my job. The ego will start rising in there like, “Hold on, [ __ ] You a player in development.” Yeah. Like [ __ ] people going to start saying, “We might need CP to coach. They going to we don’t have CP on Tuesday. My job.” No, for sure. He never take your job. But that’s the thing that say like, “Pay Manning.” He’s like, “Could you go coach?” Like, “No, cuz I can’t. The way that I see the game, I can’t explain that to people and I’m going to want that back and I ain’t going to get it.” Yeah. When you start coaching, like coaching really is just like how you can relate to players. Like it’s not how you see the game cuz people not going to be able to see the game like you. Like I try to put like some of our point guards in my shoes and I try to get in their shoes and it just don’t match up. Yeah. Like I’m like man why you can’t see that play happening before it happens. Like you don’t see that dude come off that pick and roll that low man there in that corner going to be wide open. You didn’t say it too much already. I realized that our second I realized that our second day coaching I said oh they just not us bro they don’t see what we see. So let’s just meet them where they at bro. So you got to do drills to train people mind to see certain things. But naturally some people just don’t have that gift. Like on a fast break. Yeah. Like on a fast break if a big is running the lane in the middle of the floor. Most of the time the big going to suck in the whole defense force. That mean a corner guy probably going to be open if they running. Instead kids still try to throw it to the big running in the middle of the floor and get it stolen instead of skipping it to that person in the corner. Sometimes you just got to train people. But naturally as a kid, I knew that already. And there’s some kids that know that. But I wish kids trained like that in those type of atmospheres instead of doing the cone [ __ ] and oneonone. They need to. But like he said, he had to train to do that. He just knew to do that cuz it’s just a gift he got. I just also think that’s true. Y’all do have gifts. But I just think y’all just play more basketball with your friends. Even if they were sad, you learn playing like that.
Jeff Teague, DJ Wells, and B Hen debate whether Chris Paul of the Los Angeles Clippers or Kyrie Irving of the Dallas Mavericks would be the better choice to start your NBA team with. Jeff is taking CP3 as he has turned every single team he has been on into a winner, and can play alongside any player seamlessly.

I still remember CP3 was supposed to go to the Lakers but the commissioner voided it because it was going to be HELL for the league.
hell no
Kyrie passed CP3 longtime ago
Y'all smokin crack if you think Chris Paul is better than Kyrie.
Nah anybody can do cp3 but what ky do u cant find at guard
Cp3 is a better point guard and Kyrie is a better basketball player.
it just depends on what your team needs honestly. If you got a wing or big man that can pass and run offense through (Lebron, Jokic, Giannias) then ill go with Kyrie. If i need a facilitor and PG that can control tempo and get people open shots then ill ride with CP3. overall though ill take CP3 because you cant replace his leadership. We've seen Kyrie in leadership role as the number 1 guy, and every team failed besides the Mavs.
Time to debunk this narrative lol What's funny is ya'll keep saying ya'll will start teams with thee guys who never won 😂meanwhile, players are signing up to play with Kyrie whether its Bron, KD, AD, Luka, Harden, etc. Who's signing up to play with Dame and CP3? No one lol. So if you reverse engineer the away you look at it, in reality you would want to start your team with Kyrie. Ya'll act like CP3, Dame, etc. are going to be the number 1s on a championship team – they're not – they all will need a better player next to them to win a ring. Plus, in today's NBA no one is signing up to play with a ball dominant PG under 6'3 who is useless off the ball because those teams have a cap on their success – so again, let's stop the "I would start my team with him" narrative, because I think it's obvious Kyrie's teams have clearly been better than CP3s/Dames teams, and that's the point of starting a team right? to have the best team with a shot at a ring right?
We’ve seen teams build around CP3…what has happened? We’ve seen CP3 have all-time talent around him…what has happened?! We’ve seen Kyrie surrounded by all-time talent…he won a chip. Stop it. The answer is Kyrie.
To personally prefer Kyrie is ok you like who you like, but to just outright claim he’s better than CP3 shows a lack of basketball knowledge and nuance.
Mook right on spot bout TP! Real hoopers know
Parker taller than you Teague
So who actually showed up when it mattered ???
lol keep it simple kyrie clearly better he put the ball in the hoop and score in the clutch when it matter most he’s better
Cp3 does this that n the 3rd n got nothing to show for it. Kyrie in the finals was outplaying cp3s dad steph curry
Mook is tripping cp ain’t Neva won shit and I fw cp
THIS IS THE DUMBEST TAKE EVER!!!!!!!!
Bro kyire is my guy but Cp3 on da Hornets was jus different gng😮💨he finished second in MVP conversation only behind Kobe Bean and till this day some ppl still think he should’ve won🤷🏾♂️he was a problem offensively and defensively🔥💯
CP3 doesn’t have a ring but he’s clearly a better overall point guard and is by far a better leader.
They’re just mad that Kyrie spoke on their bias towards Kobe. This podcast keeps getting worse. It’s a klutch sports group thing.
Just imagine if nba didn't block that Lakers n Hornets trade cp3 n kobe would've been dangerous on the same team cp3 n his legacy been different n both being injury prone cp3 join a team bring leadership n kyrie u dont know what u going to get ask cavs, boston, nets fans he didnt leave without drama was injury prone just being unbiased without those highlights cover up the bad side of kyrie funny thing new york dont care about nets why I sat that kyrie couldn't play without the shot it change once baseball season started Aaron judges wasnt going to take it at all change the rule quick Yankees made that phone call
New Orleans CP3 is one of the greatest PG I’ve ever seen
Kyrie is super nice but he been overrated since he hit that shot
If you said nola cp3 yes a argument can be made because that was him at his peak. But he still never fought a chip to our city as much as I love him for what he did try to do. Kyrie brought his team the chip home and hit the shot to do is and TBH is really unguardable it takes team a whole game plan to try to figure out how to shut down Kyrie. I don't think cp3 was never that bad of a mfer. To have whole team run defensive schemes to get you off your game soley only a select few had to deal with crap like that. Kobe, Luka, Gianni's, Shaq, Steph, Kd, Jordan, Kai, this only ones I've seen have that type of treatment.
