NBA LIVE! Golden State Warriors vs Orlando Magic | August 7, 2025 | Warriors vs Magic | 2K

Brent, what will you keep your eye on in that matchup? Well, Kevin, you’re pointing out the guard play. So, this is when they have a chance to go one-on-one. Which of these tandemss can stand out against the other? Tons of pick and roll, tons of creativity, and we’ll see which of these guys can pair off tonight to win this contest. Now, the starting group for Orlando and Vancero are the forwards. Desmond Bane out there with Jaylen Suggs and it’s Carter in at the five. to the inside. Here’s Curry. The shot goes in. First shot, first basket. Well, he can score from the perimeter, but Steph also knows how to execute inside. A Vagner against Heield. Now here’s Vagner G right on him. No good from 11 ft. And here’s Green. He’ll bring it up for the Warriors. Curry shot is off. Yeah, can’t see why he missed that one there. The D’s close but like plenty of room. Pass to Bane. It’s up a three. Good on the triple. And he likes to get in a rhythm early. Nice triple. And so it’s Golden State with it. It’s a three-point game. And while we’ve got a moment, I’d send it over to our terrific reporter, David Aldridge. David. Well, Kevin, Steve Kerr gave me a few minutes to catch up with him. Now, we spoke briefly about how critical it is to slow down Paulo Vancero. Coach said he can be a force on offense when he gets a couple of fall. The energy and effort from our guys has to be high if we want to contain him. We’ll see if that team can contain out there, guys. Back to you. Thanks, David. Down to five on the shot clock. Butner from long range. Jimmy Butler with the rebound. About two minutes played here in the first quarter and foul on the shot. He’ll shoot two at the free throw line. It’s on Jaylen SS. Felt like he was getting more and more hungry as he got closer to the rim. Jimmy Butler just tenacious there. Take a break. Take a break. Two shots. And he makes the first. When it comes to players who like having fun, Greg, Jimmy Butler has to be way up there. Kevin, did you see his media picture for the 23-24 season? He looked like he belonged in an emo band with that hairstyle. Jimmy is definitely one of those guys that likes to troll and have fun. Both good from the line that time. You can tell he’s feeling confident right now at the line and when he’s on he can be lights out. Hango outside. And there’s Suggs on the assist from Hank Carroll. Well, bigger than your average guard. Suggs can score all around the floor, including down low. [Applause] Now Pajimski. Curry with it. And it’s Suggs with the rebound. Agner on the wing. Guarded by Green. Pass to Carter. Shoots over Pimski. A nice shot by Carter. And he’s not going to miss many of those, especially that wide open. No, he’s automatic from the mid-range. And the defense knows that. It’s a mistake to give up a shot like that. Lets the three fly. Gets hauled in by the Magic. Suggs looking around. And first quarter, we’re about three and a half minutes in. Carter sets the pick for Suggs for the three. That’s a miss. He’s made one in this one. Warriors trail by five. Here’s Green. And that’ll be two free throws coming up. Officials on the call with the foul. Brent, when I think of those title teams of the Golden State Warriors, clearly you think of the Curries and Thompson and and and maybe at the top of that list, the importance of Braymond Green. Well, there’s no doubt, Kevin, that the lean on for Golden State defensively. And to be as good as they were on that end of the floor falls on the shoulders and the very capable ones of Draymond Green. I mean, he took on all challengers and elevated the confidence of players like Steph and Clay. So Draymond’s defense elite and leading to titles. He hits one and misses one each at the line. And Greg, the way Orlando ended last season has really fueled their fire for this year. Yeah, I mean a tough loss to Cleveland in game seven of the opening round, but it it’s hard to win in this league without first incurring some battle scars. You can’t just stop when there’s a pick set up. Got to fight over it as a defender. That’s one that the coaches will watch tomorrow with that player. You hate to see him give up in that situation. And so Steve Kerr calls for the timeout. He wants to make some adjustments to the game plan clearly. [Applause] Warriors trail by six [Applause] outside. Curry to the paint. And there’s Green on the assist by Curry. And one thing about Draymond, he almost invites contact. Orlando’s gone. One of three from beyond the arc so far in the game with the stepping. Here’s Sucks. Remon Green grabs the miss. And here’s Green. He’ll bring it up for the Warriors on the wing. Heel. Green with a screen on court. Heel from outside. Here’s Green. And Green slams it in. And credit Buddy on that play. the correct read setting up his teammate. Orlando, they’ve gotten five of 10 shots to drop in this game so far. Right at the 50% mark. Back to Suggs. Curry against Vagner. Six to shoot. Three-pointers off the mark. Have gone 50% from the field, hitting three of six since the opening tip. inside that doesn’t go on the chance to tie. Orlando leading. Carter outside. Lets it go from deep. Sinks the three-pointer. And this is something Benro continues to hone, wanting to become a dangerous threat from deep. [Music] Curry against SS. Pass to heel. Here’s Curry. The tray and Carol grabs the board. And that was almost a block. Still did enough to alter the shot. Yeah, altering the shot. Just as long as there’s a miss, that kind of energy not wasted. Suggs passes to Bane. Draymond Green pulls it. Indeed. Giving him that shot. And that’s probably not a good idea, but I guess they knew what they were doing that time. Outside Curry. No good on the shot. And there hasn’t been anything easy for him in this period. No, I haven’t seen him in in comfortable spots or at least spots we’ve seen in this offensive set that are allowing him to settle in. Great pass to set up the layin. That is a tough two right there from Butler. Really is calling card. Rugged play and 100% effort. Here’s SS gets the 14-footer to fall. I love the unselfishness and you know coaches do as well. Well, not just coach but you can see it in the teammates the way that they look at him. They appreciate it when he shares the ball like that. And so Steve Kerr calls for the timeout. He wants to talk to his guys. [Applause] Heat. [Applause] Heat. Heat. [Applause] Heat. [Applause] Anthony Black’s checked in for the magic. [Applause] [Applause] Warriors trail by five outside Curry. Healed outside. Good. And Curry gets the assist. Curry’s got three assists now in this one. Well, he can make a living out there from behind the arc. Doesn’t need a lot of room to get his shot off. And he drains that one with ease. And now we’ve got some time to check in from the sidelines. Do you got for us, Da? Hey, Kevin. Last season, the Magic extended coach Demal Mosley’s contract through 2028. He said, “It’s not about me. I just want each one of these guys to reach their full potential. This game has been good to all of us. I want to be part of maximizing how great they can be on and off the court.” Kevin. All right, David. Thank you. Let’s go. Bang shot. No good. Magic leading by four. Here’s Vagner. A shot that time. Not on target. Great D that time from Green. Golden State’s gone. One of three from beyond the arc so far in the game. Misses the baby hook. And so it’s Bane who brings up the ball for the Orlando Magic. Now here’s Ban Carol guarded closely. Bane looking around. Pass to Carter. It’s stolen by Green. Here’s Curry. It’s through for a second basket. He’s two for six. That’s a clever attack from Curry just finding an angle and he gets around the defender towards the basket. Hodner outside [Applause] and a wide open look for Bane. The Magic again can’t hit. The Warriors have gone six of 14 shooting the ball since the start of the game. Curry on the wing. [Applause] and they’re unable to get the time basket there. Back the pass to Vagner. Now Banger drills the three-pointer. Vancero’s got eight. And this is the type of go-to score this team wants. Bonero to be they love his confidence. [Applause] Agner against healed. [Applause] Left side Curry. That one’s good. Just his third make. Brings him to three for eight in this game. What a move by Curry. Has the ability to adjust in those tight spaces. Just finding a little bit of air, breathing it in, and a nice finish. Vagner finds Carter. Back to Vagner. Kicks it out to Van Carol. [Applause] Jimmy comes up with the rebound. Warriors trail by three. Right side cur. And that one drops. Eight points for him. one of the more skilled offensive players that’s on the floor here tonight. Not an easy fella to hold in check [Applause] Vagner against Heel and that one’s good. Vagner and the Magic lead by three. And they’ve done well at taking advantage of some late defensive rotations and getting the ball in the paint. [Applause] healed outside. They set the pick. Curry outside. Make it five for 10 with him in that bucket. Great execution. Steph just ripping the defense right now to shreds. What a great screen and roll action that was. Orlando’s gone three of seven from three-point range in the first quarter. Pass to Carter. Carter sets the pick for Vagner. Lets it go with the three. kept alive. Golden State’s gone two or four from beyond the arc to start the game [Applause] at the top of the key. Heel, [Applause] releases a miss that time would have put him up. 20 seconds left here in the opening quarter. Pass to black and here is Bane. Now here’s Vagner. Ban Carol. That’s good. Van Gerero’s got 10 points in the game. Say what you will about the value of the three-pointer, but those close in looks are always plan a every trip down. Get to the paint, get deep, score. Halo Ban Carol getting it done for Orlando. Setting up teammates and getting buckets. He is looking as determined as ever. And we’ve got more in 2K Sports coming your way after this break. And this has been a fairly close game through the first quarter. And we’ll see what happens here in the second. And look at how the offensive approach has been going here so far for the Magic. We’ve got a bunch of this game yet to be played, but they’re shooting it well from the three-point line. That’s got to be a welcome sight. Well, in the early goingings, the mid-range shot has also been working well for them. They’ve been racking up some points off of those jumpers and those are probably being invited. This is how the floor looks for the Magic Start in the second. And it’s small and power forward. It’s Vagner and Isaac. Tyus Jones out there with black and it’s Vagner in at the five spot. Curry shot is off and you could tell he thought that triple was going to fall. GA when you look at the development of Frimes Ven what now is the next step for him. Kevin for me it’s the three-point shooting specifically becoming more efficient out there and I also think he’s going to have to become a better passer ball move. I got total confidence he’ll get there because the rest of his game is complete. This is his first free throw of the game. [Applause] [Applause] That’s good from Vagner. Greg, you’ve been a part of some great contending teams over the years, but what’s it like being on a team at the bottom of the standings with not a lot of hope for the regular season? Well, Kevin, no one likes losing, but it can certainly take a toll, but it can also allow you to play more freely when you know you’re bad and you’re not having to deal with the pressure of expectations. makes it pretty tough on the defense. Who you going to pick to send to the free throw line and he’s hitting the free throws right now. Form looks good. [Applause] Here’s Post [Applause] down low. W Jackson Davis and the call on the shot that sends him to the line. That’s on Jonathan Isaac. Yeah, good job to take it right at the deep. The Warriors have gone three of four at the free throw line tonight. Take a break. Take a break. Two shots. That free throw missing. and the second free throw. Good. Magic leading by three. A Wagner outside to the middle. Here’s Isaac. Banked in off the glass. Such quick banking from the crafty forward. I love seeing Isaac cut like that after delivering the screen. Here’s Curry. Curry crashes inside. I mean, it’s just fun to sit back and enjoy watching him operate. And that’s what it looked like the bee was doing as well. They’re just sitting back and watching. Isaac with the screen for Vagner. There it is. The second make of the game. He’s missed five. And guys, they continue to put a lot of pressure on the interior defenders with their work down low. Jones against Curry. That three off the mark. The Magic shooting at 52% from the field. They’re clicking. Isaac kicks to black to the paint, releases, and again it’s Orlando converting. Really crisp, intelligent passing to make that basket possible. Curry looking around pass to Moody. Back to Curry from the arc. The three ball from Curry. This is just not a surprise. Steph Curry is having a massive offensive game. We’re just over two and a half minutes into the second quarter. Vodner kicks to Jones. Here’s Black defended by Moody. [Applause] Back to Vagner and finished off by Vodner. An incredible reverse throw down. Excellent body control. And guys, I’d even go as far to say that was a punctuation dump. Now, here’s Moody. Not a lot of room. Count it. And the Orlando lead has been cut down to four on the bucket from Stephen Curry. Can’t talk enough about the subtleties in that setup right there. The assist really the key to that entire sequence. Vodner right side and the basket is good. Vodner’s got 10 points in the game. I just think that’s trouble. You’re going to you’re going to let that guy shoot layups. You’re asking for it. They get it back. Post misses the shot. Magic leading by six. And that one’s good. Vagner Vagner’s got 10 points now just in this quarter. just playing with poise and confidence and they continue to put points on the board. Yeah, just really pouring it on right now trying to take away the opposition’s motivation to keep competing in this one. Here’s Curry. Curry gets inside and lays it in. That play never gets old. The pick and roll will still be an offensive staple 100 years from now. Trust me. Jones against Kirk. Jones. The pass to Vagner. That doesn’t go either for Vagner. He’s going to be shaking his head on that one. Os he missed an easy one. Yeah, you can’t make them all. And you for sure you want him taking that kind of shot. And that’s really just smart basketball. You send a poor foul shooter to the line. The Warriors have gone four of six so far from the line, missing a couple. Take a break. Take a break. Two shots. No good on the free throw. Freeze checked in for Golden State. PJski’s coming in for Trace Jackson Davis. Baines checked in for the Magic. Jaylen Suggs comes in for Jones. Good on the second free throw. Magic leading by five. [Applause] Suggs with the ball and Curry picks him up defensively. Oh, strong move by Suggs inside not allowing the contact to hold him back. Wagner against Green and it’s Suggs with the rebound. Suggs has got four rebounds in this game for three. Pajenski grabs the board. Golden State’s gone three-7 tonight from three-point territory. Curry on the wing. He’s covered by Suggs. Curry pass it to Santos. Five to shoot. Green with a screen on Bane. Bangs home the trifecta. No way he’s going to pass that shot up. The D is way too far back and relaxed in getting out on. Abner outside. Back to Suggs. And Suggs throws it down. Get up Jaylen Suggs. This guy also a terrific football player in high school. Curry pass it to Green. Here is Poachki from outside off the mark. Magic leading by six. Shooting foul as the whistle blows. He’ll shoot two free throws. The Magic shooting their third and fourth free throw attempts of the game. Heat. Heat. [Applause] The first one falls. Jimmy Butler. He’s checked in for Golden State. Healed comes in for Moses Moody. Time to change for the Magic. Hollow Bankeros checked in for Black. [Applause] And that’s good as he hits both of his shots. And so Steve Kerr calls for the timeout. He wants a minute here to get things straightened out with his team. [Applause] That’s what [Applause] Heat. Heat. Heat. [Applause] Heat. [Applause] Warriors trail by eight. Now here’s Curry. He’s got 20 over Suggs. Curry’s shot is good. Curry’s got 22 points. So fun to watch Steph Curry shoot a jump shot. It doesn’t get any better than watching this guy pull the trigger. Right now, let’s send it over to the sidelines and get a report from David Aldridge. Kevin, thank you. Paulo Beno is not skipping steps. As it superstar says, it’s not anything in life, it’s a process. Having that perspective just makes you want to work every day because this is the best league in the world. If you become impatient, you’re going to drive yourself crazy. It’s a cliche, Kevin. Just keep pounding away. Back to you. Well said, David. Dedication to the craft. VAS kicks it out to Faulner Studs and the three off target. Golden State’s gotten fewer than half of their three-pointers to go down tonight. They’re four for nine. Back to Curry. Heel sets the pick for Curry. No good from outside. Not quite enough defense that time around. Just lucky he was off. And many around the league believe Curry doesn’t get enough fouls carved in his favor. Uh GA, what do you think? There could be some truth to that. He gets held and grabbed more than anyone when running off screens, but especially blatant on drives to the rim. And finished off by Van Carol. And Bonero is putting it all together. Capable of scoring from all three levels. Here’s Curry. 22 points for him. Ajski on the wing. Healed outside. No good on the triple. Orlando leading by six. And here is Suggs. 10 points for him. Come down in the low post. It goes. Suggs has got 12 points in the game. And really good habits paying off for Suggs. He’s finding shots and drumming up points for his squad. Green with a screen on Suns. Curry laser guided shot from deep range. That’s just a lapse right there. No matter what, somebody has to be there and get a hand up in the shooter’s face. Suggs finds Vagner and contact on the shot. So, he’ll be shooting free throws here. And it goes on Draymond Green. The Magic shooting their fifth. Six free throws of the game. [Applause] [Applause] That’s good from Faulner. And the Warriors making a change here. Moody’s checked in. Anthony Black’s checked in for the match. [Applause] and good on the second. So he makes them both. Warriors trail by seven. Pass to Heield from downtown. It’s good from Juan Re. He has six. And you love how Heield is always ready with his feet set. Once the ball hits his hands, it’s off. And Carol outside down low. It’s stolen by Green Butler on the attack. B doing his work there challenging in the lane. And here’s Ban Carol. He’ll bring it up for Orlando. Pass to black now. Ban Carol. 12 points for him. [Applause] Fires the three. Warriors with the rebound. Got his sixth rebound on the night. Here’s Green. Some nice passing by Golden Stadium. Two free throws coming up and they call the shooting foul. Brent Draymond Green’s resume speaks for itself. What’s he do though that we may not see or appreciate? Well, Kevin, Draymond Green does such a great job of being a connector and communicator defensively. It is remarkable the way that he can impact every position on the floor by the way he uses both his position and his voice. Forget about the offense. Draymond takes on the challenge every night defensively and that makes him elite. What I appreciate most about Green is his leadership. Strong vocally on and off the floor. Carter, he’s checked in for Orlando. Fran Vagner comes in for black. That one drops. He ties it up. Orlando’s gone 0 or three from beyond the arc to start the second quarter. [Music] Wagner outside. [Applause] Here’s Bane. That one goes in. Baines got seven points. That’s excellent. get the ball down deep inside and cash in on a simple basket. Green passes to Moody from outside the arc. Neils it from deep. Jimmy Butler. Well, Jimmy Butler’s three ball is just going to extend that defense. And now he’s going to make plays inside. outside Bane back to Suggs and he converts the layup. 14 points for Jaylen Suggs. Well, that just scrambled the defense all kinds of ways with that great initial pass. Outside Green. He gets it in there. Green’s got the lead. Back up to one now for the Warriors. And Draymond is smart at knowing when to shoot the ball, especially when he’s got strong positioning inside. [Applause] Outside [Applause] and so the ball’s out of bounds. Vardner touched it length. There’s 49 seconds left in the first half. [Applause] [Music] [Applause] Bodner right side. Warriors with the rebounding the lane and foul on the shot. So he’ll get a chance at the line. The Warriors have shot 70% from the free throw line tonight. Seven for 10 and at the line last season about 78% as a team. Pretty solid numbers. Shooting two. You got this. You got this. [Applause] He misses the free throw. He hits the second from the line. We’ve got 22 seconds left to play here in the second quarter. Bango outside. [Applause] [Applause] and he knocks down the jumper and Carol’s got 14 points for the game. It’s been all about Stephen Curry for the Warriors. He’s at the quarter century mark. 25 points for him in this game as they have looked to him over and over to make things happen. And a chance now to send it over to David Aldridge standing by courtside. David, thanks very much. Draymond, of course, not unusual to see you going up against bigger players. So, how do you take advantage of that offensively? I mean, you just got to take advantage of mismatch. You know, most of the time there’s a big guy on me. If not, there’s usually somebody trying to switch off. I just got to know when to pop and just take advantage of the mismatches. You’ve done just that in the first half. Thanks. Back to you, Kevin. Thank you, David, for that interview. And we’ll see you back here after the break for third quarter basketball. [Applause] [Applause] Heat [Applause] up here. And if you’re just joining us, we’ve played through the first half in a game that’s been fairly even so far. Really an incredible game from Stephen Curry. Well, through the first two, he has been nothing short of a marksman from deep. Yeah, you would hope the defense at least would start to consider creeping up on him just a little bit. [Applause] In the back court, we’ll see Curry and Pompeki. Jimmy Butler is out there with Draymond Green and it’s healed in at the small forward. That’s Steve Cerr’s five as we get into the second half. Here’s Curry with the three. Offensive rebound. No good with the lane. Well, Orlando shooting so far very efficient all around about 55%. And Carol passes to Suggs. Trains it from beyond the arc. Suggs has got 17 now. And as we see Suggs develop his game, you you’ll see more of this Jaylen with the ability to operate off ball. Green with the ball inside. Here’s Heel. Good. Great play by Green to set it up. Eight points for him. And you got to love the big bucket in the paint in this sort of a grind it out game. Takes the three and it’s Van Carol missing. The Warriors have gone one through three since starting the second half. Low block shot on the way and it’s good off the glass and the Warriors lead by one. Third quarter here and five lead changes so far. And guys, neither team has been able to pull away to the inside and it’s buddy with a good awareness defensively there and a nice job in his opinion and two shots coming up at the line as he gets fouled on the shot. The Warriors have made eight of their 12 free throws in this game. First free throw is good. [Applause] And so he hits both The Magic Trail by three. Here’s Sons. He’s got 17. Left side and he gets the whistle. Two free throws coming up. No question he got bumped on that shot. The Magic shooting their seventh and eighth free throw attempts for the game right here. Shot two. [Applause] That’s good from Vagner. And it’s been an outstanding game for them at the free throw line, not missing their chances when they get them. [Applause] He doesn’t get the second one. And here’s Green. He’ll bring it up for the Warriors. The lead is two. VJsky with it. Banero’s there. Up top. Curry. 25 points in the game and it’s Suggs with the rebound. Suggs has got rebound number eight now on the night. Draymond Green pulls it in. The defense ready for him on that possession. They had to be cuz he is so strong in the paint. On its way from Curry for two. And again, no good by Golden State. Orlando’s gone one and two from beyond the arc since coming out of the break with so many years in the NBA. You would think Curry would slow down, wouldn’t you, Brent? But he remains at the very top of his game. I think the best part about what we’re seeing with Steph right now, Kevin, is his competitive will. You get to this age and you get to this stage after accomplishing all the things that Steph has done and it’s still not enough. So, let’s keep enjoying him while we can. Ban Carol. That’s good. Oh, the defense puts contact on Banero inside, but he just bullies right throughout. And so Steve Kerr calls for the timeout. He’s going to have a discussion here on the sideline. [Applause] Heat. [Applause] Heat. [Applause] Heat up here. Heat up [Applause] here. [Applause] Magic on defense. Their defense has only allowed six points in the second half. Green against Carter. Golden State moving the ball around. Five on the clock. Golden State needs to get off a shot. Here’s Green. And again, it’s the Warriors missing for Orlando. They’ve gone two of five shooting here in the third quarter. Suggs dishes to Carter. Here’s Ben Carol. Basket number eight for him on 13 tries. That’s 62% so far. And great work inside. This is where Bonero feasts [Music] to the paint. Here’s Heel and he makes good on the layup. Heels got the game tied up here for the Warriors. Man, can you always depend on him or what to lead you to the right place with that pass? Money outside Bane. [Applause] Back to Van Carol and the call on the shot that sends him to the line. It’s on Jimmy Buck on rookie of the year in 2023 to an All-Star Greg in 2024, Paulo Vancero. And Kevin, that really says it all, doesn’t it? Few players hit the ground running like Ban Carol has. Becoming an elite competitor people fear almost instantly. That free throw good from Van Carol and a big man who can do a little bit of everything. Von Carol’s future is certainly bright. [Applause] [Applause] So he picks up just one from the line that time. They come away with the lead, but I’m sure he’s kicking himself over that last miss. A three-pointer is right on target. Curry’s got 28. And that is automatic from Curry. doesn’t think twice about launching from there. On to the right wing. Van Carol lookinging around. He takes it in. The Warriors pull it in. Curry outside. Another three for Golden State. Well, if you play that far off of Steph Curry, that pullup game starts to become a weapon. for Magic Trail by five. Down low, shooting foul. As the whistle blows, he’ll shoot two free throws. And guys, let’s get your take on the scoring breakdown for the Warriors. I mean, they’ve been stepping it up in terms of their shooting from distance and the confidence has been there all game long, leading the defense to scramble. You want to talk about ball distribution? They’ve been dominating that aspect of the game. I think there’s a bunch of bankers out there. They’re dropping dime after dime. And he can’t get the first one. Moses Moody, he’s jumped in for heel. [Applause] And he sinks the second. Warriors leading by four inside. Here’s Green and foul on the shot. So he’ll get a chance at the line. It’s going to be on Wendell Carter. How about Draymond rising up into the contact. He’s a good offensive player who finds his way this time to get to the free throw line. [Applause] And the first one drops. And both free throws good for Green. The Magic trail by six. Vagner passes to Carter. Back to Vagner. And here’s Banero. A three-pointer off the mark. Suggs against Kurt. Green with a screen on Vancero outside. Green to the middle. Hello. Thrown down by Butler on the attack. Jimmy Butler playing with that edge. Now here’s Vogue. He’s got 13. Stripped it away. Oh no stopping that time. The defenders are trying to keep pace with Jimmy Butler, but there’s enough space for him to spot the rim and knock it down. [Applause] Right side B. pass to Carter and then Carter with the dunk and way to finish and cut into that lead a little bit. Yeah, but look at the the basket guys still shaking to the wing right side on the wing. Green defended by offensive rebound. Now here’s Moody. Goes up again. That shot no good. Nice defense from Vagner. Lays it up off the glass. 15 points. That’s unblockable unless they can get a bigger man on him. Got to learn your lesson. And here is Moody. No scoring in this one. Straight over there. And the Warriors lead by eight. You can’t just stop when there’s a pick set up. Got to fight over it as a defender. That’s one that the coaches will watch tomorrow with that player. You hate to see him give up in that situation. Here’s Bane up again. It’s good on the foot. You know, we talk about it all the time, guys. Those second chance buckets always the result of that extra effort. Pass to Pajki. Ah, Butler hits it with traffic and uh kind of par for the course here, right? Coming through with a solid offensive game to help them get this lead. Outside Bane and Carol outside and the shot no good. A bit short. Warriors leading by eight. [Applause] Pass to Green. Curry against Fodner. That’s a good effort from Curry just jumping right into the key, not minding who’s around and getting the call. It’s his first trip to the line. that free throw no good. And you know with Curry what impresses me most is his efficiency. That’s not something we normally see in a high volume jump shooter. Blacks checked in for SS. And he’s good on the second. The Magic Trail by nine and Carol outside. Here’s Black guarded by Kirk. Payne for three. He’s now made half of those 10 shots in the game. That’s his fifth basket. That’s pretty much not how they would defend the three-point line. Somebody’s got to shadow him out there. 13 ft away. Orlando grabs the miss. Carter’s got rebound number seven for him tonight. Ban Carol and finished off by Ban Carol. And what a strong finish from Ber. His guys love when he throws it down. Now here’s Moody. He’s defended by Vagner. Curry outside. Rebound by the Magic. Carter’s got eight rebounds in this game. Here’s Black. Got it. Good job in the low post. Now, just a two-point Warrior lead. The adjustments they’ve made offensively, they’re putting guys in a position now to succeed. Possession just way more efficient, I think, here tonight. Taking smarter, better shots, moving the ball around. and that’s helped them to get back in the ball game. And here’s Van Carol. He’ll bring it up for the Orlando Magic on the Wayne Bane. 12 points for him. Vanero gets to black. Ben Carro with the screen. Shot clock at five. Gardner from long range for the tie. And that’ll be two free throws coming up. Officials on the call with the foul. It’s on Jimmy Buck. A big time scorer. Bonerro with a deep bag. That’s a great pump fake to get the defender in the air. [Music] Take a break. Take a break. Two shots. [Applause] One free throw. No good. So, it’s both teams making substitutions here. Heat. Heat. [Applause] good on the second free throw. Golden State’s gone two of five with a three-point shot since coming out of the break. Pass to Moody [Applause] and he makes the bucket, gets the whistle, and now a three-point play chance here for him. No clue how he got that one to fall. He’s getting his first free throw attempt of the game here. The Warriors making a switch here. Santos has checked in and a switcher also for Orlando. Jones has checked in. [Applause] 121 left to play in the third. Isaac outside. There’s Vagner with the three. Drops in the tray. Vagner’s got 18 points. I think the defense has more concerns out there on the floor and they give him a good open look from the perimeter. Now here’s Moody defended by Jones. Lock at six. Yes, indeed it is good. He’s now eight for 14. The Magic trail by three. Pass to Isaac. [Applause] 30 seconds left to play in the third. And contact on the shot. So he’ll be shooting free throws here. Three trips to the line so far for him in this one. Yeah. And he wasn’t someone you wanted to foul if you were defending him last season. 85% is what he made from the line. Shoot two. That’s good from Vagner. And Orlando making a change here. Suggs is checked in. Couple [Applause] free throws good from Vagner. The Warriors leading 3second difference between shot clock and game clock. [Applause] Lots of room and the jumper is on the mark. And that’s now 21 points for Jimmy Butler. And attacking and playing with intensity. Jimmy Butler a ferocious competitor. Agner outside. [Applause] He uses the glass on the lane. Agner’s got 10 points in just the second half. It’s still anybody’s game as we’ve reached the end of three. Warriors lead by one. Live from Chase Center, you’re watching 2K Sports. And now we have a moment to reveal our State Funk assist of the game. Just true artistry right there. I mean, great decision on where to go with the ball. And how about the perfect delivery? Yeah, those are the kind of plays that you want to put on a canvas. Just beautiful basketball. Well, this has been a great contest so far and I imagine the fourth quarter could have even more action in store for us. And so in the game for the Magic Isaac out there with Moyer. Then there’s Jaylen SS. Then there’s Desmond Bane. And it’s Black and at the small forward position. Well, I like it when Steph uses some of that quickness and craftiness on the defensive end. Bane passes to Vagner. Now here’s S. He’s guarded closer. It’s blocked and they recover. The Magic need to get a shot off here. Isaac misses. Warriors leading by three. [Applause] Curry is inside. He’s covered by Suggs. [Applause] Back to Moody. Pass to Santos. Over Suggs. Rebounded by Isaac. The Magic trail by three. Here’s Black. Back to Isaac. And here is Bane. Another miss by Orlando. Suggs against Curry. Down low in close. Two points. That one goes. And then how about the grit and determination in the post. I mean, essential qualities to have late in a close game. Second minute off the clock now in the fourth. Pounced pass and finished off by Vagner. Very little resistance against that throw down. Nope. Not what they want to see in a game this close. Greg, on one side, inspiration on the other devastation. Now Moody, here’s Curry. Lays it up and banks it in. Curry’s got 11 in the second half. That’s how you draw it up right there. A screen to shed the defense. A quick move to the bucket and you get the layin. Bane kicks to Vagner. Suggs against Curry. Back to Vagner and finished off by Vagner. Yeah. And in terms of size, not your typical center, but man, he plays as big as any of them thanks to that terrific leaping ability. Pass to Jackson Davis. Here’s Moody. Curry with it. He’s covered by Sugs and foul on the shot. He’ll shoot two at the free throw line. Watching Curry is an education on how to take advantage of whatever the defense is throwing your way. [Applause] That’s good from Stephen Curry Pajki. He’s checked in for Golden State and a switcher also for Orlando. Carter’s checked in. Stephen Curry hits them both. Here’s Suggs. [Applause] Isaac outside. Back to Suggs. Pass to Black trying to find Suggs and gets it to him. And he gets the basket. Officials blowing the whistle. So a chance at the line for one more. And that was the right call. When you need a basket, go to the guys you trust the most. Yeah. Whether it’s teammates or the coaching staff, hopefully a combination of both, but gets close. He’s getting the ball. Find the lane. Find the lane. One shot. [Applause] A free throw drops for subs and we’re about 3 and 1/2 minutes into the fourth quarter. [Applause] Here’s PMski and blocked by Bane and he’s able to get it back. But shot is good and that’s a double double for him now. 10 points and 10 rebounds. Carter outside. Launches it. That one’s in there. The Warrior lead is cut to just one point on the basket from Black. And not a bad passing center. Carter Jr. with the solid find there, but leads to a bucket. And he knocks down the first one. [Applause] He hits both from the strike. The Magic trail by three. Suggs with the ball. [Applause] Here’s Bane. Pass to Black. Just five to shoot. And a basket by Isaac. And Isaac is rapidly becoming a load for the defense. He utilizes that huge frame to get the shot he wants in the paint. Suggs against Curry and it’s sent back by Isaac. Here’s Moody. Hits it from three-point range and the Warriors lead by four. Confident and composed on the three-point shot at a critical juncture. Now here’s SS Carter sets the pick for Bane. Oh, that’s clipped. Out of bounds. Golden State takes possession. You got to love strong defense, especially when it comes in the form of harsh rejections. Wow. Sharp instincts on D there. Just timing when to rise up and swat that one away. Draymond Green, who’s checked in for the Warriors. Jimmy Butler comes in for Trace Jackson Davis. The Magic also changing it up. And Carol comes in for Jonathan Isaac. And Vagner subbed in for Bane. Pass to Pajki. Curry outside and it’s Fogner with the rebound. Hner’s got four rebounds in this game. Here’s Sucks. Reayon Green grabs the miss. Green’s got rebound number nine now. What an effort here tonight. Curry with it. Jacks up a three. Carter pulls it in. Here’s black. [Applause] Hango outside. Good on the three-point shot. Vancer’s got 25 points. Such a nice looking jump shot. Solid mechanics, fluid. Monero’s special. Here’s Pajki. He’s covered by Suns. He’s not sure if he ran out of energy at halftime or what, but so far just not himself in the second half. And then Carter with the dunk. And because of Carter Jr.’s finesse and athleticism, his teammates trust him to finish those alleyoops in style. Pass to Pajinski. Some nice passing by Golden State. Upside Curry. Here’s Green and it’s sent back by Carter. How about the anticipation from Carter Jr. has a strong sense for when to go after that block shot. Heels checked in for Moses Moody. And the Magic making a change here as well. Baines checked in for Jaylen S. Orlando. They’ve gotten more than 58% of their attempts to go down for them in the fourth quarter. They’re seven of 12. Pass to Black. Two free throws coming up and they call it a shooting foul. Let’s quickly check out the scoring breakdown here for Orlando. I like this throwback approach they’re taking, looking to score high percentage shots in the paint. And so far, it’s working. Shooting too. They’ve also put an emphasis on driving inside in this game. The defense hasn’t been able to stop them from finding those gaps. He’s off on the first. [Applause] He hits the second from the line. And really, if not for the miss, they’d be sitting in a much better position. [Music] And here is Curry. Green finds PJski. [Applause] Healed outside. Drills it from outside. And guys, here in the fourth quarter, still a close game. Instant classic, fellas. This one could come right down to the last shot. healed against Vagner into the lane and that one good. Vagner’s got 12 points in just the second half. And that’s about the worst defense I can imagine a team playing coming down the stretch. Well, I hope there’s one player on that team out there that has interest in winning this game. Right now, it doesn’t look to be worth it. Haying for three hits gets that one to fall. That’s his sixth field goal. He has shot the ball 12 times and won’t find many more games as entertaining as this one. No, this is about as high octane a game as you’re going to find. Shot by Pajki. No good. Magic leading by four. Here’s Vagner. That one good for two. Agner’s got four points this quarter. Just a much smaller defender on him. He does the exact thing at the right moment. Goes straight to the rim. Back to Curry to run the run and the three ball is good. Curry’s got 41. It doesn’t matter if it’s off the bounce or off the catch. Curry never loses rhythm on his jump shot. Wner against Heield fades and shoots. The Warriors pull it in. Now Pajinski. Great D that time from Bane. Inside. Here’s Carter. And then Carter with the jam. Straight power, homie. I mean, he ripped it down with both hands. Absolutely a resounding dunk. And we got a timeout called by Steve Kerr. It’s a chance for them to regroup and refocus. Get out of here. [Applause] [Applause] Heat. [Applause] Heat. [Applause] subs. He’s jumped in for black with a short break in the action. Gives us a chance now to send it over to David Aldridge. Hey guys. Well, Steve Kerr talked to his team during the last time out. He said, “Look, you guys are playing physical and I like that, but it has to be under control. We’ve committed way too many fouls. We’ve allowed way too many foul shots.” Kevin, thank you, David. [Applause] Curry against Suggs. Outside Curry. Pass to Heel. Good. And Curry gets the assist. Curry’s got his fifth assist in this one. Oh, the energy Heel is playing with right now. What a huge possession. Ready to rip it. Outside Bane. shoots over Pompki. No good. Warriors trail by three. Pass to Penski. Now here’s Curry. He’s covered by Suns. Curry shot is Orlando’s gone three and five from beyond the arc since the final quarters got underway. The Warriors shooting 44% of the floor at the offense with some awesome end zone. Looks like the Warriors will retain possession here. Great energy on the deflection and a good job disrupting their offense. Appreciate the work right now on the defensive end. Glad we got the chance to see that remarkable rejection. Quick thinking pays off big. What a block. 139 left to play in the final quarter. And the whistle blows. It’s going to be on Pyro Vanc. That’ll be his second foul of the game. 131 left here in the fourth quarter. Curry with now defended by Bane. Shot clock at six. B against buries it down low. And now just one corner under the bunker. Now here’s Ben and foul on the shot. Shoot two. [Applause] That’s the first two. [Applause] So, he gets them both and it’s a three-point game. Well, crucial moment there at the free throw line and he never flinched. Curry against Suggs. Outside Curry over Suggs. That one wide left. Guys that I can’t be in any rush on this possession. Not with the lead. Now is a time to burn some fire. Chemistry at its best. An unreal ali. You’re right. The pass, the catch, the dunk, all of it perfect. Outside C over SS good. What a beautiful shot to burn to within three. Fearless Curry takes on the challenge and gets that big basket to fall. And so they choose to intentionally foul. Had to foul and on that occasion to stop the clock. That’s the enemy in this situation. [Applause] First free throw is good and that gives them a four-point cushion. [Applause] And he hits both free throws here. So now it’s a five-point game. And I don’t need to tell you guys those free throws are big two possession game. Timeout called the Warriors. They’re trailing by five. And let’s get your take, guys. What’s the strategy? Yeah, trying to get back in this thing. They need a score. It’s funny at this point in the game, the coach is asking the team to be perfect. They haven’t been to this point. [Applause] Up top, Curry. He’s covered by Suggs. Suggs against Curry. Pass to heal from 18 ft away. That shot no good.
