WHAT ARE THE BROOKLYN NETS COOKING??#nets #nba #camthomas #basketball #nbaedits #kyrieirving #durant

We’re continuing a series on this channel where I rank every single front office in the NBA from worst to best. I’m on vacation and at number 23 it’s the Brooklyn Nets. The Brooklyn Nets were one of the hardest teams to rank on this list because in the last 6 years they have oscillated so much from completely horrible at doing anything to just ungodly elite management and just insanely smart 500 IQ plays just from season to season, from day to day, week to week, month to month. You never know what this team is going to give you. They turned a disastrous draft pick list, young player list situation with Brook Lopez as their best player into an eventual awesome team with Kenny Atkinson where DLO made an all-star team. Carris Levert was great and that eventually led to them getting Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant. That’s pretty good. They then went completely overboard when they signed DeAndre Jordan, added James Harden via trade, and fired Kenny Atkins in. Why did you fire Kenny Atkins? Why would you ever do that? and they lost everything that was good about that culture and everything that brought Kevin Durant and Kyrie there in the first place. Then after that team blew up in 3 years, they lost one good pick again and Reed Shepard and eventually recuperated most of their draft assets and now can execute a pretty okay rebuild all things considered. They do smart things. I think it’s smart that they’re lowballing Cam Thomas. I wouldn’t lowball him as much as they are though. He’s probably not worth the $150 or something million that he’s asking for, but I think about 4 years $80 million is right. And they’re giving him like an eighth of that. That’s not okay. Especially when you don’t have anyone on this team that can score off the dribble, that can really score at all or create their own shot. Having Cam Thomas, even if he’s going to be an empty stats tank commander, I think for the next few years might actually be valuable for this team. And I actually do think he’s good. And they’ve got some nice young players. Jaylen Wilson is pretty good. I like Noah Clowny. Uh, Toon A. But then they go ahead and draft five guards in the first round in this year’s draft and none of them seem to have any elite NBA skills yet. And all of them seem to be project players. Like, what were they thinking on draft night? Including Nolan Trayor, whose jawline is insane. But then they trade Cam Johnson for Michael Porter Jr. in a 2032 unprotected first round pick via Denver. Like I liked that trade a lot. So the Brooklyn Nets are not necessarily a terrible front office. We’ve now exceeded the point of bad front offices. I’m looking at you Nico Harrison. For every good move this franchise makes, they make a move that nobody can explain and you can’t explain and you never know what you’re going to get with the Nets. So I just can’t put them higher than 23. But let me know what you guys think of the Brooklyn Nets down in the comment section below.
