Really hope we keep him. Just dont overpay. Still so much potential, defensive player, does his job no complaints, loves the team, fans love him

When we run the three guard lineup, we need him and Wemby on the floor for defense. He’s our draymond green, does the nitty gritty and does not back down
I don't want them to let Jeremy go, and I don't think they will. He's too Spursy. If they let him become a restricted free agent, I believe they will match any realistic offer.
Trade, injured too much and can’t shoot a lick. Can’t keep over paying. I’m not down on him, but his trade value is high.

Trade KJ for sure, he doesn't fit anywhere right now. I was putting together likely starting and bench rosters and couldn't find a spot where he works. He's making way too much to be a 3rd stringer.
And next on the list is Vassell, unfortunately. He is part of one of our best net-rating starting roster, but 3M/year Champagnie is the replacement for him (all else equal) in an actually better net rating roster. I like Vassell, but can't see a way to make him fit long-term.
But for the absolute love of god… don't ship Jeremy. Way too much potential to trade away. He's a Spur through and through. And he's improved DRAMATICALLY and the little experiments with his beyond-comfort-zone role filling seems to be crafting him into a Draymond-esque Swiss army knife.
I really want to see what he can doing playing in position. I hope we keep him and play him in position.
He turns the ball over at the end of games, he takes Ill advised shots and is not consistent. He hustles and has a good motor, decent defender trying to develop his shot this off-season?? He should have already done that. Vassell, Sochan, Nunez, 1 first round pick, 2 second round picks for Giannis. That's a solid trade for both teams, add youth and role players for Milwaukee and we get…. Championships. Can't wait to see all 3 guards on floor at same time with Vic next to them. How can you stop those 3 let alone have to deal with Vic?? House Spurgaryen and our three headed dragon full of killers. Stand by NBA
Do not trade or let go arguably our second best defender. We havent seen his full potential yet and he was placed in positions he cant be succesful with. I rather let Keldon or Dev be traded before him. He really should start over Barnes but I get he needs to improve on his shooting, but maybe he did improve throught the offseason. We gotta see it in season though. Go Spurs Go.

He will get extended, but for the fair amount. Otherwise, he can try UFA – but good luck with that.
Definitely trade schoan . Castle and Carter Bryant are better on Defense. Carter Bryant is Better player than schoan .
His contract extension might be anywhere between 70 and 90 million for 4 years, based on what his 2022 draft class peers got, and what his actual role is (not a star).
Problem with Jeremy is he can’t do anything but defend. He cant shoot the mid range, he can’t shoot the 3, below average FT shooter, his only thing is being a cutter. And at his price tag (18-22million a year) that really isn’t enough for us. Especially with paying Deaaron so much we can’t afford to have a guy making so much and be that limited. He is literally unplayable in late game situations, it’s like playing 4 on 5 on offense because of his limited offense bag
I like Sohan but his chemistry with Wemby is questionable tbh… He won’t be part of the Spurs future I’m pretty sure of that. We need a bigger body at the power forward/center position and a guy with good hands and IQ… Not exactly what defines Sochan
Jeremey Sochan could possibly be eligible for a max contract. From what I have seen out of him he is definitely not worth that Max contract. Frankly the hard truth is he’s not worth keeping around. He’s an undersized PF who can’t shoot the 3. We literally just drafted his replacement. Carter Bryant has the potential of being better than Jermey Sochan, not to mention he shot 37% coming out of College compared to Sochan’s abismo 29%. There’s no reason to sit and wait for Sochan to “possibly” develop a jump shot when we already have someone on the roster who’s proved he as one already. The best move for the Spurs would be to trade away Keldon Johnson, Jermey Sochan and Devon Vassell for an already established wing or center who can shoot the 3 ball.
I don’t think he is fitting yet but guys that have been there for a few years are going to have to take a giant leap cause time is running out for them to perform with consistency!!!

I have a strong feeling they play it out with Jeremy this year. And if he exceeds expectations we will extend him.
He’s in his third year, let him develop a little more, and continue to grow.
I just wouldn't overpay for him
Sochan, being very talented and young, lacks the offensive assist grit. Sochan seemed a little selfish, not instinctly passing the ball to open teammates for dunks and lobs for easy buckets and allowing opponent defense to get into position. Sochan missed a lot of opportunities to get easy assist. I guess that's why they tried to make him a guard to improve his court vision, but I saw a lot of missed assist. So giving up quick 2 point assist versus having to defend to stop the opponent, gives the Spurs team a disadvantage and cause lost of energy and breaks the spurs tempo, maybe even some frustration.
But he's young and could develop into a Charles Barkley type, he's 50/50, he seems to have the desire to get better
Sochan is a decent player, but he is not an all star or even close. He's a role player who may not be a starter any longer with our new talent coming in so he should be paid according. 12 – 16 million over 4 years tops. If he wants more the spurs should be looking for a trade.

I don't believe in a Sochan trade – no reasons to do that and no signs that the Spurs want to do this. We have degrading Vassell on a giant contract to trade, and maybe Keldon too.

Devin will be traded way before Jeremy
Can't say one way or the other. If they base his pay on being a Point Guard then no, if they base it on him being a Center, then no. They can't base it on anything else because they haven't let him play his natural position as Forward. They need to do what they can to keep him. Sochan and Bryant are a scary one two defensive punch. The Spurs have not had this good of a team, even on paper, for a LONG TIME. Play the roster as is for at least the first quarter of the season and see what you got. That could benefit both team and player options.

Bye sochan he's trash dont see him improving to justify his lottery pick. Poeple always askong why are we so hard on him, i want my team to be great if im the gm im looking at the future and he isn't part of it. We have some young talent coming up for a contract so we can't waist millions on just an ok player that wants to get paid. The problem is the rest of the nba doesn't value him like that his trade can't be much.
