What if the Spurs won the 2013 NBA Title? πŸ†

What would have happened if Ray Allen missed that shot in the corner and the Spurs beat the Heat in the 2013 finals. So look, butterfly effect this and that. I’m going to assume the Spurs still win the next year. And now all of a sudden Tim Duncan is 6-0 in the finals with four finals MVPs, the second most ever. And so like, how could you not say he’s the greatest big ever? Now the LeBron part of this is what’s weird, but I’m going to come back to him in a sec. I don’t think Manu or Tony’s legacies would be that much different. They’re still great. And same with D. Wayade. I mean, one less title hurts, but he played well in this series. Kawawaii would have his third title, meaning he’s probably unanimous top 20 all time. Although, I still think he leaves in 2019. My hottest take is I think they would have gotten rid of Chris Bosch that summer because not only did he struggle in the finals, he really struggled in the Eastern Conference Finals against the Pacers, too. Which brings us to LeBron. And people love to say that he got bailed out by Ray Allen, but like he was dominant in that fourth quarter to even give them a shot, but yeah, no one remembers that. And 3-7 in the finals sounds a whole lot worse than four and

  1. Or better yet, imagine if they left Timmy in for rebounding πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ

  2. As a spurs fan I don’t think we win in 14 if we won in 13

That 13 lost fueled the spurs so much in 14 that if the fire wasn’t there idk if they go on that run

But if they did win back to back then πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯

  3. Facts people don’t never bring up how LeBron kept them in the game to be in that situation only if he hit that 3 would of been better but not go make everything

  4. Spurs most definitely don’t win the next year I truly believe losing like they did made them insanely motivated to win. I understand 2014 might’ve been the best Spurs team ever but they never repeated with a prime big 3 I think revenge fueled them more than anything

  5. Duncan is already top 5 4 fmvp 2 mvp 15 defensive selections (most in history) still think he’s under Kareem

    2.lebron
    3.kareem
    4.magic
    5.duncan

  6. Speaking of the Heat (as a Heat fan), nor in 2020 and 2023 we would’ve made the finals. The Lakers still win in 2020 and probably the Celtics win in 2023

  7. This is why all time ranking lists like top 10, top 25. Just don’t make sense to me. Like Duncan jumps from top 5-7 to top 2 for a single moment that mind you he wasn’t he in the game for?!

  8. Well either way MJ is still the goat since LeBron took the shot and missed then needed Bosh to get a crazy rebound and swing it back out to Ray

  9. Tim Duncan would be the 🐐 also Andrew everyone by now knows what LeBron did in 4th quarter of game 6 bro. U just wanted an opportunity to glaze LeBron. Speaking of which 3-7 will be a lot worse especially since the Heat in 2013 were the better team than the spurs in 2013. That would be a huge choke 😭 .

  10. crazy cus lebron with have only 2 before 2020 and the 2010’s would probably be called the steph or KAWHI era instead of the lebron era with Kawhi winning three

  11. Andrew NO ! The spurs NEVER repeat and they only won in 2014 because they had IMMENSE fuel to get back and win after they practically BLEW 2013.

  12. Agree with everything besides the Kawhi part. I don’t think this title boosts him that much. Not all titles are equal. Averages 14 per game in the finals and was the third option

  13. Because Russel has 11 rings and Kareem has just as many rings and more MVPs and finals and Wilt is more dominant. He also wasn't the best player on all of those rings. That's how. He is also a center and not a PF as well.

  14. I have Tim above LeBron on an all time list

The what if should be what if Tim Duncan was in the game to get the rebound off of Lebricks miss instead of Bosh getting it then passing to Ray Allen

  15. I watched that 4th quarter of game 6

    He was elbowing people
Shoving Tony Parker last possession of game
Having Bosh pull down players so he can score
Passing the ball to manu with 40 seconds left on clock

Ray Allen hard fouled and manu missed a free throw along with Kawhi to

Lazy defense letting manu bully him in the paint

I watched him in OT shove and elbow Danny green in the gut and STILL missed a wide open layup πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ and he had the actual nerve to cry and complain to the refs

If challenging was a thing in 2013 without a doubt in my mind Tony Parker would of been shorting free throws with 2 seconds left on clock

And it’s a crime Tim Duncan wasn’t in that possession where lebrick missed and got saved by Bosh and Allen

37 year old Tim Duncan dropped 30 and 17 rebounds

And u all think LeBron better πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

  16. Shit….tim duncan imo wouldve been a automatic top 3 player ever imo i have td at 4-5 but he would’ve been 6-0 in the finals lol

  17. I think in this universe LeBron, 3-7 in the finals and kawhi wins that title and goses 3-0 in the finals and having just as many rings as LeBron here and being able to stop him

  18. Bron and Timmy would basically switch played Duncan would be the second best player ever and bron would drop to 4-8 range. Kareem would still be 3 ans Jordan would still be 1

  19. If only, if only. Spurs fan here, i was at the Att center watch party. That shit was so sad leaving. πŸ˜’πŸ˜‚

  20. The craziest thing about the Ray Allen shot is that he had been doing a drill since he was in Milwaukee where hed lie down in the paint, pop up, backpedal into the corner and shoot a 3
He had been training his entire life for that specific shot.

  21. Timmy would be undisputed top 3 all time, LeBron would fall to top 10-12, and the spurs are in serious contention for the greatest dynasty of all time (with Russell’s Celtics)
