Did the Mavericks find a hidden gem last off seasonason in Naji Marshall, who they signed to a three-year, $27 million contract. Naji was signed to replace Derrick Jones Jr. and he did just that and more. Naji’s playmaking and defensive ability was of great use to Mavs head coach Jason Kidd and after playing 20 minutes 28 minutes a game last year. I think Naji is going to have a more expanded role this season, maybe even playing 30 minutes plus. He’ll start and come off the bench and be a key piece to this Mavericks team who’s trying to return to the NBA playoffs. A couple of guys who I think could be hidden gems for the Mavericks this year would be Max Christie, Brandon Williams, and Ryan Nemhard, who they signed to a two-way contract, the undrafted free agent out of Gonzaga.
