I want you to build a starting five to beat the all-time Lakers. Mike, what do you think the all-time Laker lineup is? Okay, so at the one you have Magic, you got Kobe, you got LeBron, you got Sha, and you got Kareem. I mean, technically, they don’t fit together, but if we’re saying the five most prominent Lakers, I’ll put Shaq at the four and Kareem at the five for fun. It’s an unbelievable lineup. Tough to beat. You’re going to try and do it. So, at the one, you got to go Steph Curry. You could argue that Steph is the best point guard of all time. Does he match up with Magic necessarily? No, but you got to go Steph here. So, at the two, you got Michael Jordan match up against Kobe. I mean, pretty close there, but MJ’s the goat, so you got to put him here. At the three, you could either go Larry Bird or Kevin Durant, right? If you kind of want to adapt to the modern NBA a little bit, kind of have somebody match up with LeBron. We saw what KD did in the 2017 2018 finals. I’m going to put KD at my three. That is the only right answer there. If you’re not taking KD over Larry Bird, something’s wrong with you. Then at the four, I really thought about Giannis here, but I got to go Tim Duncan. Then at the five, if we want someone that wants a match up with Shaq or a Kareem, I think if Shaq was playing the five here, I’d go with Keem Elijahan just because I like the matchup. But you know what? I’m going to take Nicole Yokic. Whoa, here we go. Why not? Joic matched up against Kareem. Again, completely different eras, but I think Joic could really spread the floor. I think he could hold his own with Kareem. And honestly, this five, I think, could pull it off. I was going to ask, does that five win or the alltime Lakers team? What do you think? Best of seven.     The Lakers all-time team should be West at point, Kobe at 2, Magic and Bron at forwards, and Shaq at the 5. Passing is great at all positions, Magics shooting hurts you less with West in there, and he’s a better defender at 3/4

    Bron should not be on the lakers, worthy or baylor. To beat them you have john stockton because he has defense and is a Point Guard, MJ, kawhi to contain bron, Tim or kg to slow shaq down a little and Hakeem at the five

    Where is the dream for center? Only thing you stuffed up otherwise pretty solid picks. I also think Magic would shit down Steph but MJ would pull the defenders in so if MJ kicks it back to Sfeph then they are lethal

    Using Shaq at the 4 is kinda bs. Should have been forced to pick between Shaq and Kareem at the 5 and AD at the 4.

    As much as I like Jokic, Hakeem is probably a better matchup against a team with 3 non-shooters in Magic, Shaq, and Kareem. Hakeem's skillset is just better against that low-spacing squad, especially since he's arguably the best answer to Shaq we've ever seen.

    Why don’t you pick James worthy? Over LeBron James. He was a better Laker than LeBron James. He brought three chips to them.

    KD over Bird is maybe okay even tho I woulda gone bird but Joker over Hakeem or Wilt especially with that much offense already on the team is just dumb. Now yall have joker getting 1/3 as many touches just to get slaughtered and abused on defense. In this type of lineup you can’t have bottom of the barrel defenders ESPECIALLY not as the defensive anchor. Shaq and Kareem both dropping 40.

    I get the Bird over KD argue meant. You don’t need him to lead the team, you get him to hoop. MJ or Steph can lead and set everyone else up

    Steph, MJ, Prime Kawhi, Hakeem, and then Jokic. Imo that gives you enough defense and spreads the floor out like crazy. The all time Lakers aren’t the greatest shooters so having 4/5 guys that can shoot is gonna help and you got three of the greatest defenders of all time so make up for the size issue with Steph. Jokics passing ability is also gonna make it an issue for Shaq and Kareem to defend (they’re also gonna drop 50 but that cant be stopped lmao)
