Salary Cap Breakdown – Washington Wizards
At the beginning of free agency, the Washington Wizards salary cap for next season had over $86 million going to Chris Middleton, Jordan Pool, and Marcus Smart. But that wasn’t the case for long because the Wizards started the off season by trading Jordan Pool to the New Orleans Pelicans. It was actually part of a three-team trade with the Houston Rockets as well. They got a couple of second round picks from the Whiz and then Sadique Bay was also sent to New Orleans. But in return, Washington got Cam Whitmore from the Rockets and then CJ McCollum and Kelly Ool Lin from the Pelicans. And there was also some other second round picks exchanged as well. But the Wizards weren’t done yet because then they turned around and retraded Kelly Lin to the San Antonio Spurs for Malachi Brham, Blake Wesley, and another second round pick. And then finally, they made a third trade, this time with the OKC Thunder, swapping Kobby Jones for Dylan Jones. Moving on, Washington also brought back Anthony Gil and Marvin Bagley, both at the minimum. And then at the draft, they selected Trey Johnson with the sixth pick. And then after a trade with the Jazz, they moved back three spots and selected Will Riley with the 21st pick. And then they also drafted Jir Watkins with the 43rd pick, but he’s on a two-way contract. Lastly, they also bought out and waved Marcus Smart and Blake Wesley, both of whom have since signed for other teams. So now the Wizards have over 18 million in dead money on their books for this next season. So after a very busy free agency, the Wizards have come away with a few extra second round picks and more importantly, a few more enticing young prospects added to their rebuilding roster.

Honestly a pretty solid offseason from the Wiz
They made a lot of moves just to not even be a playin team in the East
Sixers next please? ❤ I cannot get enough of these videos
Can you do heat
Jordan Peele is gonna be top 5 next year
The capital of the United States and they have one of the worst teams, they really gotta make some investments
I think the wizards will be atleast mid tier team next year. great young core and lots of draft picks, and a lot of salary to go around.
Do the hornets
Give us the grizzlies
I kind of like this off-season for the Wizards. They have a lot of young and promising guys on their roster. Let's see if they pan out.
I don’t mind them creating a young core that could develop well. Seems to be taking notes from the Thunder
I get the whole luxury tax and the different aprons but that’s just a testament to how overpaid 90% of the league is that you can have this ASS of a team and still be at the cap 😂
now they just need to sign Giannis
Once the old bums Khris Middleton and CJ McCollum contracts expires at the end of 2026, they have a pretty clean and young team to work with. A good place to be.
Just do the heat already you’re killing me😭
Day 10 for sixers pls
