MAJOR UPDATE! Miami Heat defensive star Haywood Highsmith has knee surgery & will miss extended time
Miami Heat Nation, what is going on? So, in today’s video, we do got some breaking news involving one of our best perimeter defenders, and the injury bug is already hitting the Miami Heat early in the off season. Now, before we do start today’s video, if you guys enjoy Miami Heat content, we do upload every single day. Our goal this year is to upload for 365 days, and I couldn’t do without you guys. So, I just want to say I appreciate y’all. Love y’all. Continue to keep liking, sharing, subscribing. Let’s get back into today’s video. So, the news that did break earlier today, and this is once again very unfortunate. Um, it says Miami Heat forward Haywood Highmith had successfully had successful surgery this morning to repair a meniscus tear in his night in his right knee. Um, which he suffered while training in Baltimore. It says he will begin rehab immediately and is expected to miss 8 to 10 weeks. Now, this is coming out from Anthony Chang. It says, “With Highmith expected to miss eight to 10 weeks, this means he’ll likely not be ready for the start of training camp and could also still be sidelined for the start of the regular season.” Now, the reason why this is big is because Heywood Highmith should be and probably will be a very important piece in this rotation. And typically, when you miss training camp, you’re already a step behind. This was happening with Yovic where he was dealing with injuries. he was a step behind and he wasn’t cracking the rotation so early. You want to be ready. You want your body to be 110% to start the season. But your body can’t be 110% when you’re not going 11 120% because you’re in rehab and you’re not playing basketball. And especially with, you know, Haywood Highmith not having the best season last year, hardly playing, having a lot of bad games, this is a big year for him, right? like he needs to show up and step out. So, like I said, this is very unfortunate. Um, you know, this typically happens, you know, in the offseason with a lot of players, you’re training, you’re going a little bit too hard, and then you injure yourself. And thankfully, it’s not like a longer injury. You know, it’s only 8 to 10 weeks and maybe he misses game one and stuff like that. Could be way worse. But even with players that are playing right now like Norman Pal, I believe he plays today. Hopefully nothing happens with him. Nicole Yovic. These dudes are actively playing basketball. Injuries do occur. They’re going hard. You know what I mean? So, I’m hoping that no one else gets injured. I’m hoping everybody gets to training camp healthy and we get to see the training camp battles. You know what I mean? So, once again, let me know in the comment sections what do you guys think about this injury about Haywood Heismith. Also talking about Norman Pow and Haywood Highmith. It says, “Norman Pow and getting number 24 from Haywood Highmith.” He goes, “We we negotiated and found something fair.” He said, “You’re the vet and you have worn it your whole career. I’m not trying to disrespect you.” It says, “It costs a little, son, but we’ll keep that under the wraps.” So, I think this is pretty cool. Um, you know, typically players want their jersey that they wore pretty much their whole career. They’re very big on this. A lot of players would pay a lot of money just to get that number. And honestly, as a basketball player like I am, I do the same thing. You know, if I’ve been rocking zero since I was 5 years old, I want to rock zero when I’m 30. You know, you don’t want to change the number up. So, respect to Haywood Highmith because a lot of people be like, “No, like I’m not giving up my number even if you offer them money.” You know what I mean? So, I thought this was pretty cool. And honestly, it may be the little things, but this is somewhat type of chemistry building up right here. And then also, Brian Winhurst and Tim Bonteps on the Miami Heat. He goes, “Winhurst, do they extend Norman Pal? Do they extend Tyler? And at what number?” Bonteps both fall into the same buckets as Austin Reeves combo guards who are good players but there isn’t a volume trade market for them. So this is interesting. Like I said I brought it up previously in other videos. What do the Miami Heat do in this position? They are going to extend Tyler. It’s just a matter of when. We don’t know what they’re going to do with Norman Pal. They’re probably going to wait till the season starts or you know wait till the season finishes. But the problem with that is is if he plays good, he’s going to ask for way more money and then you’re locking up a core of Bam, Norman, and Tyler. Like that’s just not good enough. So I just feel like you got to get Norman middle of the season, get him at a good number, unless you want him as a rental and you kind of move on from that. So we’ll kind of see what happens in that situation. The new CBA rule is just not the greatest. And then it really depends if if you do move off from Tyler, then maybe you could keep Norman and Bam. But then again, you’re going to need a star player because you can’t just let go of Tyler and then get nothing out of it. You’re going to need a star player. So, there’s a lot of decisions that this front office needs to make. It’d be interesting to see if they make the right decision because typically they don’t. Uh I think this year, this offseason has been in the right direction. So, that’s the positive thing. But once again, we’ll see. And hopefully you guys enjoyed today’s video. And if you guys did, continue to keep liking, sharing, subscribing. Appreciate y’all. Love y’all. In a mouth.

I hope Jaime is playing well and ready to contribute.
Bam's extension pays him $55mil/yr and he hasn't won us a single playoff game without Jimmy (unlike Herro). The Heat need to blow it up.
