NBA LIVE! Boston Celtics vs Golden State Warriors August 13, 2025 Full Gameplay 2K26 Preseason

impact of the back court and that’s where it all starts. When you have a confident and competent back court, it just opens up a lot of things for you offensively. And now the opening lineup for Boston. White in its shooting guard with Brown playing small forward. Then there’s George Nyang. Then it’s Anthony Simon. And it’s Kada in its center. Here’s PMski covered by Simons down low. Now Pajki three-pointer. The rebound by Kada. The defense just giving him the easy look there. He’s not going to miss that. Two points. That one goes. Simons has got the opening field goal of the game for the Celtics and getting the offense started with a high quality look down low. With a short break in the action gives us a chance now to send it over to David Aldridge. Well, I caught up with coach Steve Kerr. He talked about how they plan to deal with Jaylen Brown. He said Brown’s explosive off the dribble. So, we have to have bodies in front of him. Be physical with him. Stay connected with him at all times. We’ll see if they can keep Jaylen in check. Back to you guys. Thanks so much, David. And that one misses break. Since reaching five consecutive NBA finals, the Warriors have missed the playoffs three of the past five years. And to be fair, they did go 46 and 36 last season. They were 10 games over 500 last year. So, they weren’t a bad team, but Golden State doesn’t just expect to be in the playin. They want to be a contender. Now, here’s Simons after the miss from Stephen Curry. Lets a floater go and it’s Simons missing. Warriors have gone one or three from the field to start this one so far. to Curry. Golden State moving the ball around and he finishes it off with a one-handed jam. And that’s what they want to see from Butler, a take charge mindset, that desire to attack the rim. It’s deflected. It’s the one by Green from deep. Good on the three-point shot. And that’s exactly what he’s looking for. Draining the triple. The Zeltics have gone two for four from the field so far today. Brown against Teel. Brown with the bucket. I love seeing Brown get it done inside. He’s more than just a jump shooter. The Warriors have gone three of five shooting the ball so far. And stolen by White. slammed home and he draws the foul. A chance for another point at the free throw line and it goes on Draymond Green. That’s a double whammy, guys. That’s right. A great defensive play. Then the emphatic stuff. Yeah. Once he poked it away, you knew what was on his mind. Free throw good from Brown. RJ, we’ve seen multiple all-star games for Jaylen Brown. Can he become a superstar? Well, to me, if you’ve got a Finals MVP in your back pocket, on your resume, you are now a superstar. And Jaylen Brown is that. Now, here’s Heel. Curry on the wing. Five to shoot. And it’s good. The time running down on the shot clock. Curry’s got five points so far. Nice job staying aware of the shot clock situation. Curry is so cool under pressure. Pass to Brown. There’s the triple. The Warriors pull it in. First quarter of action. Just under three and a half minutes played. fades and shoots. Rebound Boston. Kada’s got four rebounds in this game. White inside. He’s defended by PMski. White good. Well, he is looking confident. Love how they’re using him so far. Yeah, when he gets engaged this early in the game, it’s bad news for the defense. He can roll this start throughout the rest of the game. And on an open look like that, he’s very gifted at making the weak coverage pay. Score it. His third straight basket in three tries. Really well done there. Just confident and composed. Never in a hurry. Pajki with it. White’s there. Pajki finds Curry. No good from outside. Celtics leading by four outside White. Jimmy Butler comes up with the rebound. Golden State’s gone. Just one of four from three-point range here in the first. Here’s Green. Oh, that’s blocked. And it’s out of bounds. The Warriors able to retain possession here. And we got to take a second look to admire that outstanding block. And an early swat like that can really set the tone. Now the shooters will be feeling his presence. He kicks to Kurt and a lot of contact on that one. So he’ll shoot two here. That one on Simons. RJ, with how well Curry continues to play, I’m not sure his three-point record will ever be broken. It’s going to be tough to do. But even if it does, I think Steph will still be regarded as the best shooter we have ever seen simply because how he changed the game. That’s good from Stephen Curry. the greatest shooter ever, Steph Curry. You played with him. What was it like seeing him day in and day out? I had the pleasure of playing with Steph the first year he broke the NBA record for threes in a season. And when I tell you he was just scratching the surface, he was always looking to push the boundaries to see what he can do and to work at every aspect of his shooting. Richard, the Celtics have been among the NBA’s elites for quite a while. Time out. Time out. Well, they’ve been a title contender every year for almost a decade now. Even with several coaching changes over that time, they’ve been the model of consistency. And so, Joe Mazoula calls for the timeout. He wants to check in with his team and regroup. Let’s go. Come on. Hey. Heat. Heat. And the Seltics with possession here. White setting the pick for Simons. Krills the three-pointer. Simons has got five points so far. Pick works well there. Not much resistance from the deep. Yeah, that just comes down to a lack of effort. The defender has to do a better job fighting through the screen. Green finds Curry. Good. Great play by Green to set it up. He’s got 10. What a response from Curry. Got to know he’s coming for his within. Nang with the ball. Nothing on the board. Here’s White and he can’t answer that. The three-pointer offline. Uses both hands to shut it down. I tell you what, Butler is a physical dunker. I mean, he takes his craft seriously. I just love watching this guy take off for Boston. They’ve gone seven of 12 from the field here in the first quarter. Simons surveying the D. Not quite enough defense that time around. just lucky he was off heel. That puts them in the lead. Nice move, Heel. Showing he’s not just a three-point shooter. And Simons has got the ball here for the Boston Celtics. Trailing by two. Here’s Kada. Again, the miss by the Celtics. Golden State’s gone two or five from three-point land here in the first quarter. That one drops for him. Not many guys with Butler’s skill have his skill set inside. Celtics trail by four. Outside Simons to end the run. Pajinski grabs the board. The Warriors have gone eight of 14 from the field in the first quarter from 11 ft away and he overshot that one missing. Austin’s gone 105 from downtown in the first quarter. Points out there have been hard to come by and it’s Simons missing. Warriors leading by four. The rebound by Simons. And you don’t see that every day. Usually he’ll convert when he gets that close to the rim to the paint. And there is White and that’s good on the assist by Simons. And they’ve done well at taking advantage of some late defensive rotations and getting the ball in the paint to the middle. They kick it out to Green. Green the screen top of the key. It falls for his fifth field goal tonight. Now shooting five for eight. And Butler just exploits that pick and roll defense. A tough physical guy who’s hard to guard in those sets. And we’ve got a timeout from Joe Mazula. He wants to make some adjustments to the game plan clearly. Heat up here. Heat. Heat. Moses Moody. He’s checked in for Curry. Austin also with the sub. Tilman. He’s checked in for George Nad. Brown against Teal. Gentleman passes to White. Nice bald movement by Boston and against the basket. Officials blowing the whistle. So a chance at the line for one more. And guys, they continue to put a lot of pressure on the interior defenders with their work down low. And he’ll be shooting his first free throw of the game here. And some changes here for the Celtics. Howers checked in and it’s Pritchard in for Infernie Simons. The Warriors lead him. shoots from the elbow. That’s the six make from the field. He’s taken nine shots and missed but three. And the release of Butler’s jumper so smooth. He has no problem knocking it down from mid-range. Let’s check in with our reporter David Aldridge. Kevin, coming out of high school at 6′ nothing, Derek White didn’t receive any full scholarship offers. He says, “It was humbling, but it drove me to get better.” Each time you have the doubters, you just put a little chip on your shoulder. The 29th pick overall in 2017, he’s come a long way. Kevin, those chips are still there. You’re so right, David. Thanks. He’s become a heck of a player. Missed it. He’s now made six of 10 from the field. Austin’s gone one of five from downtown in the first quarter. Points out there have been hard to come by. Here’s Pritchard. He has yet to score. Shot clock at six. White. No luck that time on the shot that would have put them on top. To the inside. Here’s Moody. Basket is good. He’ll get a chance for one more at the line. I just love when teams make it work down low. GA. These Boston Celtics are unquestionably a top tier offensive unit. Stupendous shooting, excellent instincts with the ball. Yeah, they are a model offense in many ways, making it tough for many teams to keep up with them. And the Warriors making a change here. Santos has checked in. Selix trail by four. Here’s Pritchard. Here he goes. Pass to Tilman. Six on the shot clock now. Nyang. Jackson Davis defending. Pritchard gets the bucket. I’ll tell you what, I’m not sure these guys can keep this up. There will be some let down at some point, but these teams, they are built to score. So, he loves it up. Absolutely the prettiest play in basketball executed to perfection. I don’t think you get an argument there. Everybody loves the alleyoop. There’s 138 left to play here in the first. Here’s Pritchard. Here’s White and the Celics hit again from deep. Nice clean bounce pass. Sometimes the fundamentals are all you’re going to need. Golden State’s gone two or five from three-point land here in the first quarter. And stolen by White. Here’s the break. Here’s Pritchard. finish off the break. Richard’s got five. You got to love his hustle. Leaving the defense no time to react. And all of a sudden, that man was just on the other end. Wow. Inside. Here’s Jackson Davis. Yeah, terrific recognition there from Butler. Outstanding at slicing passes through the D in that pick and roll. Austin’s gone three of seven from three-point range in the first quarter. Here’s Pritchard defended by Moody to the paint. Here’s White. Lays it up and banks it in. 15 points in the game. Love how selfless he is setting break screens like this. Plays like that right there are what help create easy scoring opportunities. Here’s Jackson Davis. pass to Moody and he’s good on the three ball and the Warriors lead by one. Yeah. And all eyes were on Butler, but he has the vision to find the open man. Wide up top. 15 points in the game. Here’s Tilman and foul on the shot. So he’ll get a chance at the line. And really the defense fouling there to prevent the layup, but that’s exactly what you need to do. Celtics have had two chances at the line already, making them both. And he knocks down the first one. And the Zelda’s making a change here. That one misses. And you can see that even though he ties the game up, disappointed he didn’t give him the lead. Jimmy Butler has been on display for the Golden State Warriors. Setting up teammates and getting buckets. He is looking as determined as ever. Will return shortly. And it’s been a pretty even game here after one quarter of play. And from what we’ve seen so far from the Warriors, how would you grade them? Just a terrific first quarter sparked really by their unselfishness. They are playing for one another and focusing on making winning plays. You love to see it on the court for the Celtics. They’ve got George Niang and it’s Tillman in at the five down low. Curry gets the bucket. What focus from Curry on offense so far. Doing everything he can to provide a lift for his squad. There’s the pick. Pass to Tilman and the league giving a bit more leeway, GA to defenders. As a hard-nosed defender yourself, I’m sure you like that change. Oh, I do. I mean, we all love the intensity of playoff basketball. So, why not bring a certain level of physicality to the regular season? Here’s Post. Now, here’s Moody. launches a three. Tilman grabs the miss. Just enough coverage to bother that three-point attempt here in the second quarter with a little over a minute gone. Driving the lane. A shot by Pritchard. No good. Warriors leading by three. To the middle. Here’s Jackson Davis. He gives up a bit of size at the center position, but his leaping ability, well, let’s just say that makes up for it. Austin’s gone three of seven tonight from three-point territory. Pass to Tman. Now, Niang contact the shot, so he’ll be shooting free throws. Yeah, easy call. The Zelix have shot 75% at the line tonight going three for four and they shot 81% from the line last season as a team. So, you really can’t find fault with what they’re able to do there. First free throw is good. Nang hits them both. Just solid. Really one of the very best that there is at the free throw line. And here is Moody. He has six to the wing right side. Here’s Post off the mark with the outside fade away. Even though he had space, there is never an easy fade away. Pass to Hower now. Nyang. Here’s Pritchard. Locket six. Busted. No good that time either. Curry is inside. Wow. Magical moves inside from Steph Curry. And you’re asking for trouble when you give Curry this positioning. He’s so efficient down there. And we’ve got a timeout from Joe Missoula. He’s ready to talk things through with the team. Heat up here. Heat. Heat. Heat up here. Heat. Heat. Second quarter of play with almost three minutes gone. Aston ball movement by Boston. Here’s Hower. It’s off from three-point range. And here’s Curry who brings it up for the Warriors to the inside. Here’s Jackson Davis. Austin grabs the miss. This one for three. Hits it from three-point range. Yeah, clearly a defensive lapse there. He is automatic from deep if you’re going to leave him that wide open. Big time mistake. Now here’s Curry. He’s got 15. Good. Curry’s got 17. I mean, what can we say about Steph’s jumper that hadn’t already been said? Here’s Pritchard. He has five. And almost four minutes here in the second quarter of play. Nailed from three-point land. That’s the kind of D that you’re not going to find success with, guys. They’ve got to get a hand in the face outside. Curry down low. Here’s Jackson Davis. Move by Curry using the play to make room for a different shooter. Celtics trail by three. Here’s May not still yet to score. Pass to Pritchard. Here’s May not. Here’s Pritchard. Guarded by Ker. Six to shoot. The Celtics need to get a shot off. Here’s Nang. That doesn’t go on the chance to tie. Warriors leading by three. And he’s going up for the alleyoop. Hammers the alleyoop through. Oh, phenomenal alleyoop slam there. They are taking advantage of a team that looks lost out there. Here’s Pritchard guarded by Kirk. He takes it in. He gets the shot to fall and the defender wasn’t set. He’s called for the block and a three-point play chance here. And a chance for just a second now to check out the scoring breakdown for the Warriors. So far, they haven’t had to force anything. They’re swinging the ball around and turning good passing into points. And not only that, their elite conditioning evident from the pace they’re playing offensively. Boy, they are getting out and running. Here’s what Boston’s going with right now. Kate is checked in and it’s Brown in for George N.Ky VMsky with it on the wing. Green to the inside. Here’s Curry. Good. It was Green picking up the assist. Green’s got three assists now in this one. He finds a shooter in motion and is confident he can threat him with the lead pass. Well done, Richard. When it comes to Draymond Green, we know about his defense, but what does he give you offensively? I think it starts with his passing. Not many big men can do what he does the way he does it. And especially effective when he’s hitting the three ball, stretching the floor, allowing for more space for his shooters. Here’s Curry after the basket by Boston. Pass to Post. Drains the three-pointer. Post has got the lead up to five now for the Warriors. Just an unselfish play from Curry. always ready to move the ball and his body to help an open shooter. Here’s Pritchard. 13 points in the game. Now here’s Brown defended by Moody. And too much time in the lane. They get called for the 3second violation. Jimmy Butler. He’s jumped in for the Warriors. Buddy Heel comes in for Moody. Celtics also with a sub. Mars has checked in. Warriors leading by five. Outside Curry inside. Poenski. Rebounded by Hower. Austin’s gotten a lot of looks from outside tonight. Five of 12. Pass to Pritchard. The Trey. couldn’t get it to drop. He’s now made five of eight shots. There’s a screen. He with the bucket. And that’s what Field is paid to do. Stretch the floor for this offense. Celtics trail by eight. Brown outside. Here’s Garza and by Green. The pass to Pritchard. to the paint, puts it up. Garza gets the bucket. Garza’s got his first points of the game. That is a perfect placement of that dime. Just guided it right to him. Green passes to heel to the middle. Fades away. Jing Brown with the rebound for Boston. They’ve gone five of 11 from the field since the beginning of the second quarter. to the inside. Here’s Hower off target from outside and it’s Curry with the ball up for the Warriors. Six-point lead. Nice kick from Curry. That shot is good. He has made eight while missing only four. That’s 67% shooting. That’s where Curry will cross you up if you play him to shoot. He just drives it. And now we’ve got some time to check in from the sidelines. You got for us DA? Hey Kevin. Celtics coach Joe Missoula has talked about the two Jays, Jaylen Brown and Jason Tatum. He says they’ve been lumped together because they play a similar position, but they don’t have to be similar. They’ve got to be able to express who they are and not compare to each other. They’re not the same. Kevin, remember a couple years ago there was some thought that maybe one would be traded. I’m glad they’re still together. And so it’s Golden State with it after Jaylen Brown’s three-pointer that didn’t go. Here’s Hower. Pass to pressure beyond the arc. The rebound by He Warriors leading by eight. And that’ll be two free throws coming up. Officials on the call with the foul. And to me, Draymond Green really embodies the idea of a high IQ player. He he can read the opposition, predict where a play is going, and those instincts aren’t something that can be easily taught to anyone. The Warriors shooting their fifth and sixth free throws of the game. Shooting two. The first free throw is good. What I appreciate most about Green is his leadership. Strong vocally on and off the floor. And the Warriors making a change here. Moody’s checked in. Both free throws good from Green. Celtics trail by 10. Outside Simons. Here’s Brown. Kada. Great positioning on the putback. That is really good work there on the offensive glass. Golden State’s gone six of 11 when they’re taking the three-point shot tonight. Very respectable. Moody the pass to Curry. Rebound. Boston. Simons on the wing. Guarded by Curry with the shot and it’s Simons missing. Warriors leading by eight. They kick out to Heel. Good on the triple. Heels got a couple of three-pointers in the second for the Warriors. This is He at his best. A major threat. The torch defenses off the catch outside. White jacks up a three. Score that one for him. His eighth field goal. Eight for 11 on a very accurate night. And an eye for an eye. Both teams working to stretch the floor. This is today’s NBA. Hey, we see this kind of exchange more often than not. Now, here’s Rudy. He has six. Wow. Wow. He got whacked on that one. Shouldn’t be much debate there. This is his second trip to the free throw line. Take a break. Take a break. Two shots. And he can’t get the first one. Pajki, he’s checked in for the Warriors. Good on the second free throw. Now here’s Simons. He’s got five outside White. Simons with the screen for White and the Celix hit again from deep. You give a shooter of his caliber that much time to seam it up. Oh yeah, you’re done. Pass to Moody. Healed against Brown. Framed the screen. Shoots. He hits the back iron and sinks the shot. Butk’s got his first bucket in this one. Celtics trail by eight. Simons catch inside. Here’s Brown. No good. For the fifth time from the floor this game, he’s made two shots. Majky on the wing. 50 seconds left in the first half. The rebound by Niang. Niang’s got his fourth rebound with that last one here tonight. The baseline J. That one’s in there. The Warrior lead is cut down to six. And the bucket from Brown. The mid-range is not an issue for Brown and it’s just another weapon in his arsenal now. Pass to Heield. Green with a screen on Brown. Not a guy you want to put on the line. Field is just money from there. This is his first free throw of the game. Free throw shooting not an area he has worried about at all. How about last year? 88% from the line. Take a break. Take a break. Two shots. Free throw drops for Heel. Guys like Buddy Hill, knock down shooters. They are in high demand around the league. And he makes the first but misses the second. Celtics trail by seven. Here’s Brown. Here’s Simons. And blocked the ball with his pole. What a defensive play. Back to Green. It’ll count. And that one released in time, but no good. So, we’ve reached the end of the first half of play. Warriors lead by seven. And now, let’s catch up with David Aldridge who’s standing by from the sideline. All right, Dave. Thanks, Kevin. Alongside Steve Kerr and coach, what is the offensive approach going to be in the second half? Well, we just have to do what we do. Move the ball. uh and wear them down with our ball movement, our cutting and our spacing and better screens, all the all the usual stuff. Yeah, it always seems to work out for you in the long run. Thanks, Steve. Back to you, Kevin. All right, David. Thank you. And stay with us, folks. We’ll be back just after halftime to get the third quarter started. Heat. Heat. And if you’re just joining us in this one, first half is in the books. One half to go. Really an incredible game from Stephen Curry. no problem fighting his way to the rim in this one. A lot of points in close. And you love that mindset he has going at the rim. He hasn’t settled for anything and he’s been the aggressor all game long. And here’s Curry who brings it up for the Warriors. In the back court, we’ll see Curry and Pompeki. Jimmy Butler is out there with Buddy Heel. And it’s Green and at the pivot spot, manning the middle. That’s the Warriors foul. That is a hard run rebound. A man’s rebound right there. Way to battle for it inside to the paint. A steal. And here’s the fast break. Punches the three. And the Warriors miss again. Celtics trail by seven. And here is Simons. Lets it go from deep. That one no good. And the great shooters know when they’ve got enough opening to go for the three. I didn’t think it was a bad choice on that possession. Here’s Curry. Curry crashes inside. Sometimes there’s just no stopping Curry. He’s just too skilled. Simons the pass to NA. Pass to Brown. Fires from deep. The Warriors pull it in outside. Curry. First and a half of basketball here in the third quarter. The offbalance finish. Curry. When you allow good scorers to get uncontested shots at the rim, no wonder you’re losing. That’s a great possession. Put your best players in a position to succeed. Back to White. The shots good. Brown making the play. And that’s 23 points for Derek White. I love the spirit he’s shown tonight, particularly on the offensive end. He’s going to keep putting up shots regardless of the score. That’s the kind of player he is. off target with the open look. Celtics trail by nine. Spin with the ball. Oh, look out. Goodness. Look out. Wow. Okay, I see you. Oh, forget about going for the long range bomb to cut into that lead. Just take it to the hoop, my friend. And how brilliant throwd down. Golden State’s gone 02 from deep to start things here in the second half. And each season, GA, it seems like Anthony Simons is given more and more responsibility. And you can understand why. He’s trying to be a versatile score. And now we are seeing him take the next step with his playmaking. And we’ve got a timeout from Joe Missoula. And coach has decided they need a moment to talk things over. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Celtics trail by 10. Simons catch to Nang. Celtics passing it around. down low. Curry with the steel and here comes the break looking to get back on track. Oh my goodness, the slam. Butler on the break. You can’t give him any room to run or you might get your feelings. Aston with it. Warriors with the rebound. Heels got his fourth rebound with that last one here tonight. Out of bounds. Boston takes possession. And Simons has got the ball here for the Boston Celtics. A 12-point game. Outside White to the inside Kada and that one is stuffed right through. Oh, Kevin. Not a petty, not a Manny, but a facial. Oh, a bounce to the ounce, Greg. Yeah, showing off the bunnies. Oh, here’s He points in the game so far. And he’s been a force on the glass all game long. It’s because he’s reading where the shots are going and getting to the right position. Just outworking everyone early on the glass. He is getting everything he wants. The defense is seemingly powerless to slow him down. But the Warriors miss again. Celtics trail by eight. Pass to Simons. Now White. Here’s Niang and the three ball is good. Niang’s got five nothing. That’s a look they always want him to take. If he’s got space, he’s got the ultra green light. Back to Curry. Le everything’s within Curry’s range. I mean, the range is just unreal. Curry can make even the toughest shots look easy. inside and two free throws coming up. Unable to get that one to go with all the contact and Derek White, he’s one of the most valuable guards, Richard, in the NBA. White can play the one, he can shoot the ball, plus he is an all league defender. So Derek White gives you everything you want in your back court. That one is off. And the second free throw. Good. Warriors leading by seven. Now Pajinski outside cur pass to Penski. Healed from outside. The rebound by Kada. Kada’s got rebound number 12 here already in the game. White the pass to Kada. Healed against Brown. And yep, finally drops after rolling around the rim. Nine points in the game so far. Pick works well there. Not much resistance from the deep. Yeah, that just comes down to a lack of effort. The defender has to do a better job fighting through the screen. Thrown down by Butler. Oh, he just punches that one down with a fury. He rubs it in a little deeper with the hanging finish outside. Simons. Here’s Nang off target with his three. The Warriors have gone at a pretty good shooting pace. They’re six of 13 from the field here in the third. Pass to Heel from the arc. Burries the long range jumper and it’s a 10-point Warrior lead. Tremendous shooter here. can hit from anywhere. Nang with the ball. Now here’s White. Screen by Niang. White with it. And Curry picks him up defensively. And that one good. White’s got seven points here in this quarter. Well, I guess we could give him credit for not getting discouraged. They’re still playing hard. He’s doing his job out there. healed against Brown. Curry looking it over. Fires the three. Boston grabs the miss. And you could tell he thought that triple was going to fall. Here’s Kada. Some nice ball movement here by the Seltics. Curry against Simons. Pass to Brown. Lock at six. Here’s Kada. Jimmy Butler pours it in. And so Steve Kerr calls for the timeout. He wants to talk to his guys. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. So, all teams changing it up here. Warriors leading by eight. Pass to Moody with the teardrop. No good that time. White with the defensive effort and the layup’s good off the glass. White’s got 30. challenging the bigger defender, cutting him down to size with that one. He’s not going to back down from anyone. Got to commend the fearless attitude right there. The shots good. And this kind of shot defines who Butler is. Just a bulldog who embraces finishing against the tight cover. Here’s Kada. Seven points in the game. To the middle and oh boy, a lot of contact there, but he gets the call and will shoot two. And a moment to look at the scoring approach in terms of where the points are coming from for the Warriors. Look, they’re getting good looks inside. It’s been a point of emphasis all night long, but I love this hard nose attitude of this team. And on top of that, they’re getting a lot of points off assist. And it’s always a good sign when your team is working as a cohesive unit. And the first one drops. Jackson Davis is in for Draymond Group. and he makes both free throws. Warriors leading by six. Butler making it happen inside and continuing to add to his offense over time. Butler excels at breaking down the defense. White looking around, sinks the three-pointer. White’s got 12 points now in the quarter. You can’t lose a shooter like him on the court. The ball will find its way to him and he will drill a three each time. Jackson Davis with it. 10 points for him. Second chance shoot. Whistle blows. Basket is good. So a chance here for a three-point play. Man, the gritty mentality of Butler is awesome. Just love how aggressive he is, especially when he’s under the basket. Celtics making a switch here. Garza has checked in. And free throws have never really been an issue for Butler. Makes a living at the line. Celics trail by eight. There’s the screen. Here’s Pritchard. He’s defended by Penski. White bounce pass. Here’s Pritchard from outside off the mark. The Warriors shooting well here in the third about 50% to the paint. Here is Pompeki and Pritchard pulls it down. Boston’s gone a less than productive two of six from three-point land in the second half. The pass to White. Here’s Pritchard. He’s defended by Pensky. Second chance effort. A shot by Pritchard. No good. Warriors leading by eight. Uses the glass to finish the lane. And now it’s up to 25 points for Jimmy Butler. And with the lead, I like the strategy here. Continue to get the ball to guys who can do something with it. This is when good players really get after it. He can sense that they’re reeling and he’s going to put his foot on the pedal. They set the pick to the inside and he takes the feed in stride and slams it home. And that assist got him a little nod from his teammate after that one. Pass to post. Back to Pajki. And what I appreciate about Butler is how tough he is. This guy welcomes going into contact while shooting. This is his third trip to the free throw line in the game and last season 86% from the line. So, he’s always had that calm presence at the line no matter the situation. And he makes the first. The Warriors making a switch here. Santos has checked in. And good on the second. So he makes them both. 132 left in the third quarter of the game. Here’s Pritchard defended by Moody. Pass to Tilman. The Warriors pull it in. Shoots the three. Rebounded by the Celtics. White’s got his fourth rebound with that last one here tonight. Here’s Pritchard. Lets it fly from the top of the key. He buries it. Pritchard’s got 15. Warriors leading by eight. Here’s Moody. Seven points in the game. 41 seconds left in the third quarter. Here’s Jackson Davis. Gets it to go from beyond the ark. 13 points in the game. He can really stroke it from deep. You have to keep better tabs on him. Here’s Pritchard defended by Moody. They get it back. Tilman passes to White. Nice ball boomer by Boston. Five on the clock. Pass to Hower. White wide open. He fires. Lands soft on the front of the rim and drops. White’s got 14 points here in the second half. Okay, let’s throw out the analytics for a moment. when he’s taken the mid-range, it’s a winning shot. Here’s Moody. And the last second attempt does not go in for him. And so it’s the Golden State Warriors in control with the nine-point lead to end the quarter. And they’ve done a phenomenal job down low. So many of their points coming right at the rim. And don’t go away. We’ll be right back. And a quick look now at the State Farm assist of the game. And the winner today, the big fella here with the sweetest of dimes. What a plus it is to have a post player who’s got this ability to find. I feel like we’ve seen more slick passing big men in the league today than we’ve ever seen. And this is it. Glad to have you along for this fourth and final quarter. Now, let’s check in with David Aldridge to see how Stephen Curry’s doing. David, thanks Kevin. I just talked with the Warriors head athletic trainer. Oh, that is not what you want to see. It sounds like it’s a serious. It’s amazing. He’s good to come back into the game. In fact, Kevin, he’s already back in the game. Thanks for the status report there, David. At least we now know, Greg, how he’s doing. Yeah, when you talk injury, the unknown factor is always a difficult thing to deal with. And you never want to speculate. So it’s nice for us and especially his teammates to get some facts on the floor for Boston. And it’s May not in at the small forward. Here’s Santos. Pass to Moody. Here’s Post outside. Curry for the three. The three ball from Curry. It’s been this way since halftime. Tremendous production from beyond the arc. In the modern NBA, you have to hit threes to win games. And they’ve made that adjustment since the break. Tries a three off the inbound. A shot by Richard. No good. Warriors leading by 14 inside. Got a piece of it. Fourth quarter now. We’re about a minute and a half in pass to Hower. They set the pick. Lets the three fly bangs on the trifecta. And the lack of effort to fight over the screen there makes that an easy shot. Yeah, as soon as these guys feel contact, they are just disappearing like they’re not even there. You got to show some fire and keep defending. And it’s the Warriors with the ball following the three-pointer by Boston. Curry can’t get it to go. Here’s Pritchard guarded by Curry and he gets it to go as they call the foul. He’s on his way to the line for one more. If you give him an inch of space, he’s going to make you pay. Pajki, he’s checked in for the Warriors. Austin also with a sub. Walsh has checked in. One shot. on the free throw. No good. And here’s Curry who brings it up for the Golden State Warriors. They’ve led by as many as 14 points. Here’s Post. Shot clock at six for three. And it’s Stephen Curry with a three. Curry’s got 37. Honestly, guys, Curry is the best three-point shooter I’ve ever seen. Here’s Pritchard. That one wide left. Very dangerous to leave a guy like that open. Lucky break right there for the deep. Here’s Curry. And there are the Warriors now with another bucket. Boy, that’s unfair. Curry hitting those pull-ups. Here’s Pritchard. Pass to Hower from outside the arc and another miss by Boston. Warriors leading by 14. Now Jackson Davis. Curry finds Pajki. Back to Curry and good as it just snugs right down through the net. It doesn’t matter if it’s off the bounce or off the catch. Curry never loses rhythm on his jump shot. Here’s Pritchard. Curry brings the double pass to Walsh. Here’s May not three-pointers right on target. Minach got himself going with the triple. His first basket of the game. Now Pajinski fires for three. They get the rebound. Here’s Post. Fires the three. And here is Moody. Golden State moving it around. Shot by Pajki. No good. And the well is running dry for him right now. Nothing falling. Yeah. And the risk now is that he gets inside his own head. Time to take deep breaths in through the nose, out through the mouth, and let the game come to you. Here’s Hower. He sinks the 11-footer. Howers got five points in the quarter. VMsky with it. Pass to Curry. The three drills it from outside. Curry’s got 44. He’s just stretching them out. The defense has got to do a better job of staying attached to him. And the lack of defensive pressure on shots like that is a big reason they’re down by double digits. Shooting foul. As the whistle blows, he’ll shoot two free throws. Take a break. Take a break. Two shots. The first one falls. Green. He’s checked in for Golden State. Jimmy Butler comes in for trace Jackson Davis. He doesn’t get the second one. Warriors leading by 13. Pajki with it. Picked up by Brown. Curry with a wide open look. Rebounded by Hower. Oh man, that’s tough. That’s definitely one he’d like back. Almost too wide open. That one goes in. Nine points for Anthony Bernie Simons. A quality pass. Setting up a quality shot. It’s just textbook basketball. Oh, tough play by Butler. He’s earning his keep offensively. a key part of their winning effort at this point. Simons pitched to Nang. There’s a good screen back to Simons. Basket number five goes in. He’s now five of 12 from the floor. Love how selfless he is setting brick screens like this. Plays like that right there are what help create easy scoring opportunities. Here’s Pajki at the top of the key. Curry takes it off the glass. Curry’s got 46 points. And and those are the kinds of plays that are just killing them right now. Simons the pass to Pierce Kadaed by Green. Pass to Hower. cuts in the tray. Howers got a pair of threes here in the fourth quarter for the Celtics. It’s been like this all night for both teams. The offenses having their way. Yeah, but I think it’s going to come down to who can get the stops down the stretch because that’s who’s going to come away with this one. Now, here’s Moody. He’s got space. The rebound by Niang. Nang’s got rebound number five here tonight. Yeah, the defender all over. Take a break. Take a break. Two shots and the first one at the line is good. Heels checked in for Moody. Derek White’s checked in for the Celtics. Dan Simons drops them both and it’s Curry with the ball bringing it up for the Warriors. At one point they led by 16. Healed outside. Green with a screen for Heel. Shot clock at five. Gets the three-pointer to fall. And the Warriors lead by 11. And this is the game plan for him. He’s a big part of their floor space. Yeah. And you got to know where he is at all times, especially when he’s roaming around the corner. They’re ready to fire. White good. When guys are moving the balls, sharing it, it makes the game so much more fun. both as a player and as a fan. Curry against Simons. Pass to Green. Buried from 15 ft out. Very comfortable from the mid-range. Green sinking Jays. So it’s the Celtics now. They trail by 11. Now here’s Brown. There’s the Wanda to Brown. It’s going by Height Side. Green and he’s fouled pretty hard on that shot, but he’s got the chance to pick up the points at the line. Richard with Buddy Heel. We’re talking about one of the best shooters in the NBA. No question he is a marksman. He’s going to have to be a mercenary though. He is the type of an outside threat that every team needs. I don’t care what the offensive system is. Buddy Hill will find a way to score. First one falls for and both free throws good for Green. Celtics trail by 13 outside White down low and Kada gets it to go and he’s now got the double double. 11 points and 13 rebounds. Simons against Curry tries from seven. It’s tipped over in the corner. White and up the court come the Warriors on the break. Baseline jumper rebounded by the Celtics. Brown finds Simons. Here’s Nang. Warriors with the rebound. Buty’s got six rebounds here tonight. Looking to end it. Cold spell goes back up. Well, there shows his toughness on the glass. High IQ play from a high IQ player. Butler the second chance opportunity there. Here’s Brown. Great T that time from Green, guys. A good chance for them to slow it down. Yeah, they definitely should use some clock here. Now here’s Curry. Not a lot of room. Launches it. Rebounded by the Celtics. Nang has got his seventh rebound of the game with that last one. Right the best to Kada. It’s tipped out of bounds. Solid ball as Boston keeps possession. Brown outside, shoots, and it comes off the front of the rim. Warriors leading by 13. And here is Curry. Three-pointer. The rebound by Kate. Kate is pass to Brown. Back to Simons. Down to five on the shot clock. And here’s Heel. He’ll bring it up for Golden State. At one point they led by 16. No question as to which team gave the better effort tonight. A dominant performance and an outstanding win for the Warriors. Well, and it really came together for him at the perfect time today and in the end they just ran away with it. I I tell you what, I didn’t expect it to be this easy coming in. But but they certainly made it look that way. A complete team effort and one of the key components to this victory, if not the biggest, was the incredible performance for Stephen Curry. And he was getting buckets all night long, giving the defense that work. The rebound by Niang. Just one second between the shot clock and game clock. White the pass to Brown over healed and there’s Brown. That’s good on the assist by White. Brown’s got it back down to within single digits for Boston. So, we see the Warriors get the win here.
