Lakers Andrew Wiggins Trade Update! Miami Heat Asking Price
What’s going on everyone? So, the Los Angeles Lakers have been linked to Andrew Wiggins pretty much all off seasonason, right? He’s a guy that makes a ton of sense for the Lakers. Gives him a legit two-way 3ND win. Gives him some athleticism. Give him a guy that can defend one through three as well as create for himself, create a little bit for others, right? He can is a guy that go get you, you know, 20 on any given random night. Um, also a guy that, you know, he he could be a huge kind of elevator for a team. uh particularly in that like kind of third, fourth, fifth option type of role where he’s not really that guy that’s like your first or second option. Know he had that insane run with the Warriors, but he’s never been able to do anything like that before or since. But him on the Lakers saw it alongside Luca Donic, LeBron James, DeAndre Aton, Austin Reeves, you know, he would be on any given night, you know, the third, fourth, fifth guy in the rotation um in just the the production that he’s given out there on the basketball court. but his ability to defend multiple positions, do the dirty work, rebound, right? He could be a huge kind of elevator for the Lakers. Problem is is that there’s been, you know, kind of this disconnect as far as the trade goes because of Miami’s asking price. Well, we got an update on exactly what Miami is looking for in any potential Andrew Wiggins type trade. And you know, we’ll get into it. So, according to the Miami Heat, right, this offseason, the Miami Heat were willing to discuss trade scenarios involving Andrew Wiggins and several teams expressing interest in the former NBA champion and all-star wing. Sources said the Milwaukee Bucks league sources said were one of the teams to inquire about Wiggins. So, the Milwaukee Bucks were also a team that was looking to add u Andrew Wiggins as well. Uh while the Heat ultimately kept the former first overall pick, they were willing to deal Wiggins if they received an instant impact player along with an upcoming first round pick before 2028. So they want to pick within the next 2 years. Um teams continue to monitor the Heat uh specifically how they will handle Tyler Herro’s upcoming extension window uh to get a better idea of the direction that they’re trending in. So essentially, if the Miami Heat are going to trade Andrew Wiggins, they want an immediate impact player as well as a first round pick in 2028. Now, couple things about this, right? One, the Lakers have guys that could come in and make an, you know, like a Rui Hajimura is a guy that could be that impact player, come in, play a role for Miami, could make some sense for Miami, give them some cap flexibility, as well as if it works out and he’s really good for them, he could sign a new deal, new extension, stick around long term, right? So Miami with Ruachuro could make some sense. They could add back Gabe Vincent who is really good for them, right? So the the the salary needed in order to get there, the impact players, right, in order to get there because they’re not going to get a superstar and all like you’re talking about, you know, a ruy level player. You’re talking about guys like that, especially if you’re giving up picks and assets, right? The the they just want a guy that could actually be in the rotation. They don’t want some guy that’s going to be just hog sitting on the bench all season, right? They want somebody that can come in, play a role, play a part. So figure like Ru Aimura and Gabe Vincent, right? those two guys would be enough to go get you Andrew Wiggins. But then the first round pick is where that comes in. Now Lakers have pick swaps around that time, but they want to pick a first. So you can go a couple routes about this, right? You could could you maybe trade to get a first, right? Could you maybe do a three team trade? would a, you know, would Dalton Connect yield you a first from like a veteran team, right? But also, what level of first round pick do they want like a lottery first, right? Cuz that’s not the same like cuz again, you might find a team, you know, one of these contending teams or one of these rebuilding teams that just have like like the Oklahoma City Thunder, right? Could they just be like, “Hey, we have a treasure trove of first. we’ll throw you a first for, you know, a Dalton Connect because we got to consolidate stuff, right? Maybe they’d even give you a couple assets, right? A first and a second, right? Something like that to just kind of like, hey, we have to consolidate at some point. Gives us a young player that we’d have under control for the next few years. Sure, let’s do that, right? Like, you know, again, just kind of using OKC as an example, but there’s teams out there, they may be willing that just have a ton of assets that they need to kind of consolidate at some point that could just go, hey, let’s take a flyer on a guy like this who’s still young enough to where now the Lakers could have that asset, have that first. So, essentially, you’re trading Dalton Connect, Gabe Vincent, and Rui Hachimura for Andrew Wiggins. If you could do something like that, perfect. I’m all for it. I don’t like if you could keep connect and you know you did Gabe Vincent Rui Hachimura in a first right for Andrew Wiggins I wouldn’t hate it right but a couple things about that one I don’t think the Lakers will trade their first this year unless it’s something like impactful because if the Lakers wait till next off season they would have three first round picks that they could trade which now gets them in the conversation for guys like Giannis Antu Loompo if he tries to force his way to Lakers or a Nicole Joic if he tries to force his way to Lakers. Whether you’re somebody that believes that the Lakers will actually land those guys or not, that doesn’t matter. It’s what do the Lakers think? Do the Lakers believe that they have a chance? If they believe they have a chance, they’re going to operate as such because now they could look at it and go, we’d have Austin Reeves and three firsts plus, you know, and a dude Theo and, you know, potentially a Dalton connect if they make a trade. So, it’s like, hey, we could put together a pretty solid package that is comparable. Might still need a nudge or two from a Giannis or a Jokicage, but if that happens, then, you know, now the Lakers can land those guys. So, you know, I I just I don’t know if the Lakers would be willing to pony up the first round pick to go get Andrew Wiggins. Now, I do think that they would trade if they could get a first for Dalton Connect. I could see them maybe doing something like that. But you also got to keep in mind, right, if the Lakers were to do Gabe Vincent and Ruie Hatramura for a uh a a Andrew Wiggins, right? Like yes, that basically clears it. I think it’s like a $500,000 difference or something like that. But point is Lakers would now have another open roster spot that they’d have to fill, but they wouldn’t have the money to do so. So, you’d have to do a a salary dump trade, which is where I think the Dalton Connect situation is the thing that that would have to come in, right? Cuz you could you could essentially send him out to a team that maybe has some salary space if they’d be willing to give you a first round pick, maybe, you know, top five protected or something like that to where it’s like, okay, hey, we got this, you know, this pick, now we got Ruy, Gabe because So, again, you still save your first, you have Ruy, Gabe, and Dalton Connect. If you can do something like that, that I could see the Lakers maybe potentially doing. However, I I just you got to keep in mind too that the asking price and what actually ends up being what they end up giving them up for are very different things, right? Miami wants cap space. They want to create cap space flexibility, right? That’s a big thing. And they’re going to have to pay Tyler Hero and all this stuff. again, they might have to get off Andrew Wiggins, who’s making nearly $30 million next year, right? So, we’ll see as we progress into the season how much Andrew Wiggins uh they start to kind of feel like, okay, we need to get off him. And I’ve talked about this, right? Don’t be shocked if a month from now you really start to hear Andrew Wiggins to the Lakers conversations again, right? because you’re they’re a month and a half out from training camp. Hey, the example I use is the Utah Jazz trade because it’s a great example. And Utah wanted both first unprotected for Russell Westbrook. They wanted to give up Rudy Gay that Mike Connley and Malik Beasley, no Jared Vanderbelt, no nothing, right? And that was what they were trying to hold firm to. Maker stayed patient, right? Fast forward like a month out from training camp. All of a sudden it was like all right fine one first uh unprotected one can be protected but still no Jared Vanderbelt, Mike Connley, Rudy Gay and Malik Beasley. Lakers stood firm then right like literally like a day before training camp it was like all right fine we’ll take both first but both have to be unprotected. And then the Lakers ended up you know uh still turning that down. Fast forward to the trade deadline and they were able to get Jared Vanderbilt. They were able to get Malik Beasley who unfortunately didn’t work out. Turns out, you know, he looks like, you know, he’s was doing nefarious things, you know, allegedly. And then you have um you got D’Angel Russell, right? So, you know, it kind of two guys didn’t really work out to the level that you wanted and Malik Beasley, right? I know a lot of people kind of look at what he’s being accused of again, allegedly uh being accused of, but you know, it is a little suspicious given when he was on the Lakers and how bad he was after being so great. Like he was like third in the NBA at the time and like three-pointers made that season, right? And then, you know, D’Angel Russell obviously ended up going out. But point is that the Lakers were able to get exactly what they wanted and only had to give up one protected first, right? So it ended up working out in their favor regardless. So again, if the Lakers stay patient, I do think that price starts to drop, right? Or the Lakers will have to be creative if they want it. I believe, this is just my thoughts, I believe the Lakers don’t believe that Andrew Wiggins is the piece that puts them over the top, right? Because if I’m Rob and Jeie and the Lakers, if I believe we’re an Andrew Wiggins away from winning the championship this year, guess what I’m doing? Here’s Ruie. Here’s Gabe Vincent. Here’s a first round pick. Thanks. Right. You’re trading everything here. You want Dalton Connect, too? Here you go. Here’s Daltton Connect. Right? Whatever you have to do to land him. If you if the Lakers truly believe that Andrew Wiggins was the piece that we are missing to win an NBA championship, Andrew Wiggins Lakers would pony up what they have to pony up to get Andrew Wiggins, right? So, I don’t think the Lakers really view him as that. Now, maybe they do at some point, right? Maybe it is as simple as like the Lakers are just trying to play hard ball, trying to be patient because we’re a couple months out from training camp. You know, maybe as we inch closer to training camp, all of a sudden Rob Pelinka goes, “You know what? Fine. Let’s do the trade. Let’s do the deal.” But to me, I think the Lakers are more likely not going to have to be creative, right? Like I think you’re going to have to end up making a move uh in that regard. But we’ll see. Time will tell. Anyway, as always, this is a discussion. I pass a question on you. Let me know your thoughts and opinions down in the comments. Lakers have been linked to Andrew Wiggins all NBA offseason but so far no Lakers Trade has come of it. Lakers News came out on what the Miami Heat Asking Price for Andrew Wiggins is and the Lakers can meet the Asking price but is it worth it for Lakers Nation?

let it go
Dk isnt even worth a second. Be serious goof
Keep doing u tyler love the vids
I'm all in for trading for Wiggins, but honestly no one is giving us a 1st for Dalton🤦🏾♂️… We could get a 1st or maybe two for AR, but unfortunately Lakers are not trading him.. Looks like Lakers are staying pack with the roster we have now, we're not getting Wiggins unless Miami Lowers their price🤷🏽♂️
You said next offseason the Lakers would have 3 firsts to trade. They would only have 2 tradable firsts next offseason (summer 2026). Due to Stepien, it would be 2031 and 2033. Right?
To me, the Lakers, and other teams, want to see Dalton Kenecth, in the pre- season,
And take it from there
Another fantasy quitit not going to happen he was only in Miami for a month there not trading him dork 😂😂😂
Laker should wait and look at what they got , give it 20 games
Oh weird. Your 40th Andrew Wiggins video this summer.
No chance your getting Wiggins.
Also neither of those players have any value. Thats not an impact player.
No Wiggins please
We still tlkn about wiggins lmaooo this has got to be the longest offseason ever 😂
Even if you think Wiggins is better than Rui (which I think is debatable if you factor in Rui’s size, shooting, age), I don’t think the difference is great enough to warrant a pick on top of it
Wiggins is not worth the contract, the headache or the price. I swear all Lakers fans know are names, Wiggins hasn’t done a thing since that ring, and every creator and casual fan thinks that he will magically return to that just because he’s in a Laker uniform. There is ZERO evidence to support that. Y’all think he’s the missing piece to a team that’s not even a tier 1 contender. I do like this roster but you all need to chill on this Wiggins nonsense, he IS NOT the player you all think he is.
they should stay away of Wiggins,Lakers should go with team they got,lot better team than people give credit for,more than half of team are players than have thing to prove to haters and talking heads,so allround revenge team,and will be top 3 on west i have no concerns about it,if trade than needs to be realy good and impactfull players wich Wigginss is just not
