Zion Williamson might be the weirdest first overall pick in NBA history. Now, this is not me calling him a bust because when he plays, the man is a wrecking ball. One of the most efficient scorers the league has ever seen. A 6’6, 280lb tank with a 40-in vertical. When he’s on the floor, Zion looks like the future of the NBA. But that’s the problem. He’s never on the floor. Let’s not forget he was the most hype prospect since LeBron James. A literal viral sensation in high school. the kind of player you want to tank for. And the Pelicans won that lottery thinking they just landed their franchise savior. But here we are seven years later and all he has to show for it is two all-star appearances and not a single minute recorded in the postseason. Now we’ve seen flashes of greatness, a 27 point per game season and Shane shooting numbers around the rim and moments where he bullied grown men like he was in high school again. But this year, well, there’s no more excuses. New Orleans gave him the max deal for a reason. And if he can’t stay healthy, the conversation around Zion is going to change fast.

Far and away, one of the worst rebounders in the league right now. When was the last time you've seen Zion grab a rebound around opponents? If the ball doesn't bounce directly to him, he's not going to make the effort.
