Washington Wizards TRADE CJ McCollum To The Sacramento Kings? | NBA Trade Rumors

So, could the Washington Wizards be trading away CJ McCollum to the Sacramento Kings this 2025 NBA offseason? Well, here on the screen is a trade proposal or a trade idea from fadeawayorld.net. The link to this article is down below in case you want to go ahead and check it out for yourself, but this trade would see the Sacramento Kings receiving CJ McCollum and the Washington Wizards receiving Malik Monk and Dennis Shrutder. So, this trade’s actually pretty intriguing to me because uh the Wizards, of course, acquired TJ McCollum earlier this off season in that Jordan Pool trade to the New Orleans Pelicans, but all signs point towards McCollum not being a long-term fit in Washington, and they want to get rid of him potentially and flip them for some other players that could that could perhaps be a fit uh for the long term. So, for the Kings, they would be of course getting back another veteran player. Now I think that if they were to go ahead and trade demar and if they were to go ahead and trade Demar de Rozan this could actually make quite a bit of sense in regards to a replacement option but it all depends to me what they get back for Demard Rosen. So, for example, hypothetically speaking, if they were to get rid of Demard Rosen to say, let’s just say the Golden State Warriors, they were to get back Kaminga in return and then flip Malik Bunk and Dennis Shruder to for CJ McCollum. They do a pretty good job of sort of revamping their team, having a big four next year potentially of CJ McCollum, Zack Lavine, Deanos Sabonis, and as I mentioned before, Jonathan Kaminga. This could be a really good fit for them uh for the foreseeable future as well as next year. So, when CJ is healthy, he’s a very good player. Like, he can score the basketball at will. uh went beyond, you know, when he’s when he’s at the, you know, three-point line. He’s a very good player, uh, one of the better ones in the entire NBA, and brings a lot of value to the table in that regard in regards to perimeter offense. But a little bit of a question mark for CJ is his health, of course. You know, he’s a little bit injuryprone, I would say, but a very consistent player, a very solid player when he’s healthy, and he brings a lot of value to this Kings team looking to get back to the playoffs next year in 2025 26. So, from a basketball perspective, just if everyone was healthy, etc., this is a good move for the Kings to make. No other way to put it. Now, from the Wizards perspective, I think Malik Monk and Dennis Shrruder adding two veteran players at this point might not be a terrible idea. This team’s made a lot of good moves this offseason in my opinion. They’re a pretty young roster with some players that are looking to develop and take and take the next step next year. If they want to get rid of veteran players like CJ McCollum, why would they want to get back other veteran players in return like Malik Monk and Dennis Shruder? To me, it doesn’t make a ton of sense in my personal opinion. Uh, but those of course are just my thoughts. So, I think that in a perfect world that if they’re able to get rid of CJ McCollum, they would want to get back some draft capital or some younger talent in return. I love Malik Monk. I love Dennis Schroeder. Uh, but them going to Washington doesn’t make a ton of sense in my opinion. So, I think for these reasons to me, uh, the winner of this deal would be the Sacramento Kings. But as always, leave your thoughts.
