Grading the Last 5 NY Knicks Trades #nba #nbatrades #knicks
Let’s grade the last five big New York Knicks trades. A team that’s been very active in the trade market over the last few years. So, they had a massive shocking trade at the end of the 2024 offseason when they traded away Dante Demanenzo, Joyce Randall, and a future first round pick for Carl Anthony Towns. But, I’m going to give this trade an A. I think both teams made out very nicely in this deal. It was a win-win trade. The Knicks got Carl Anthony Towns best year of his career. They had a massive trade in the summer of 2024 as well when they got Muel Bridges from the Brooklyn Nets in exchange. five first round picks and a pick swap. I’m going to give this one a B. Mel Bridges had somewhat of a down year, but still a good year and good enough for the Knicks to make it to the Eastern Conference Finals. And for the next trade, I’m going to give the Knicks a D. They traded away Quinn Grimes a good piece at the 2024 deadline. Evan Forier, Malachi Flynn, and Ryan Archie for Boon Bogdanovich and Alec Burks. Yes, at the time Boon was an upgrade, but they still could have done the Mikuel Bridges trade with the Evan Forier matching salary and maybe could have kept the first or two if they had just Grimes in that trade. The following offseason they did a shocking trade out of nowhere on December 30th of 2023. They traded away RJ Barrett, Emanuel Quickley, and a second rounder to the Toronto Raptors for OJ Nobi, Precious Oi, and Malachi Flynn. I’m also going to give the Knicks an A here. I think OJ Nobi has been the best player at the time in that trade and since that trade. And lastly, I’m going to give this trade an A+ for the Knicks. They basically traded away Cam Reddish, Ryan RGDO, and the 23rd pick in the 23 draft, which ended up being Chris Murray for Josh Hart, who’s been one of the best role players in the NBA and has been vital to the Knicks success since acquiring him two and a half years ago. Let me know what team I should do this with

That Bridges trade is going to be awful in the long run.
Im expecting a Knicks title.
They traded Arcidiacono in the Josh Hart deal, got him back, and then traded him again in the deal for Burks and Bojan, what a piece 😂
Hart was horrible in the ECF, was a negative asset whenever he was on the court
OG trade was good for both teams but in the long run likely better for the Raptors. OG is a nice 3-4 option on a championship team but the window is closing. RJ has blossomed in Toronto and if IQ can stay healthy it's a great 2-4-1 for the Raptors. OG for 42 is a stretch also.
Cavs
Do the Pacers next
Almost their entire starting 5 was through trades
