Carolina Hurricanes Owner Tom Dundon Buys NBA’s Portland Trail Blazers 🏒➡️🏀

Turns out Carolina Hurricanes owner Tom Dundan has interests that go beyond adding a Major League Baseball franchise to his portfolio. He’s getting into business with the NBA. According to Sportico, a sports business news outlet, Dundan has reached a tenative agreement to buy the Portland Trailblazers with no intention to move from the Paul Allen estate. According to ESPN’s Sham Sharan, the valuation of the sale is $4 billion. Now, we all understand Tom Dundan has a lot of money, but $4 billion, well, turns out he’s going to be part of an ownership group. Now, look, this makes a lot of sense. Dundan is not shy about wanting to be a part of the sports business world. Never forget, he got involved with the Alliance of American Football Litigation going on today aside, he wants to be a player. And one thing we do know about sports ownership, the valuations of these franchises continue to go up as the television deals continue to go up. So, while you might not be making money now, you certainly will make money when you sell the team. Now, I understand what Carolina Hurricanes fans are thinking. What does this mean for the team? Well, the Hurricanes understand that and they released a statement. This will not impact the Carolina Hurricanes and Tom still wants to bring Major League Baseball to North Carolina. So, just chill out for a second. And also, I feel bad for the Charlotte Hornets because Raleigh and Portland are sister cities and both teams share primary colors of red and black. Sorry guys, this is Trailblazers country now. I need to get some stuff for the studio.

From hockey pucks to slam dunks 😳 Carolina Hurricanes owner Tom Dundon just bought the NBA’s Portland Trail Blazers 🏒➡️🏀 Is he about to change the game in BOTH leagues?
