Ian Begley Drops BIG Knicks Roster Update 😳

Ian Begley Drops BIG Knicks Roster Update 😳

The Knicks final roster spot situation just got a whole lot more intriguing. Ian Begley is now saying that there’s a lot of support internally to bring back Landry Shamid. But that’s not all. The Knicks could be looking to add another veteran in addition to Shamid. And the only way to make that happen, you guessed it, is a trade. So today, we’re going to break down what Begley just reported, how the Knicks could realistically create that extra roster spot, the type of veterans that they might be targeting, and the one player I think could actually be moved to make it all happen. So, let’s start with what Begley actually said. quote, “I think there’s a lot of support internally bringing Shamid back. I would assume he would be back and I wouldn’t rule out the idea of the Knicks adding another veteran in addition to Shamid, and the only way to do that is a trade, a Simmons or somebody else, something I’m vaguely keeping an eye on.” So, to translate, Shamut looks like a near lock for the roster spot. But if the Knicks want somebody else along with him, a trade has to happen. We’re not talking about a big blockbuster, but rather moving out a player to free up a standard roster spot. Now, the big question is if they make that move, who’s that second veteran going to be? Begley specifically mentioned Ben Simmons as a possibility, but we’ve discussed him plenty already. Spacing concerns, health risks, mental side of the game, the New York City pressure, and it’s safe to say most fans are skeptical. Now, other realistic names include Don Wright, who’s a defensive backup guard, and maybe even a guy like Malcolm Brogden if the price is low enough. But here’s the thing. Will any of these bigger name veterans be happy sitting on the bench? Because Mike Brown’s rotations historically max out around 10 players. That means whoever this is, they might just be insurance depth and not a consistent rotation piece. If Shamid is indeed in the building, he’s already fighting for minutes behind Deuce McBride, Jordan Clarkson, and possibly Josh Hart in certain small ball looks. So adding Simmons or Brogden, you have to ask, are they willing to be the 11th man? And are they fine with some Knights not even getting into the game? Because if not, this whole plan falls apart before it starts. Now, let’s talk about who could be traded to make room for this extra veteran. I keep coming back to Tyler Kolick, and here’s why. He’ll be 25 years old next year, so it’s not like he’s 20 years old and has a lot of time to improve. And there does not seem to be any clear path to playing time this season with McBride, Clarkson, and potentially Shamid ahead of him. Lastly, he’s on a fully guaranteed deal for the next few years, meaning that the Knicks cannot just stash him. He has to place somewhere to prove his value. And shout out to my fellow Knicks YouTuber, Raw Hebrew Remnant, for this good idea. He is suggesting that the Knicks could send Kohli to a team like the Brooklyn Nets, a rebuilding squad that could actually give him a shot in the rotation. And no, the Knicks would not be getting a player back in this scenario. Probably just a second round pick or some cash considerations. Now, if this would happen and the Knicks did create a second veteran minimum roster spot, they could go the other route instead of getting a bigger name like Simmons or Brogden by getting an internal piece, someone like Marjon Bochamp or Anton Watson or even Kevin McCuller Jr. because these guys already in the system, already understand the Knicks culture, and would not demand big minutes right away. This way, you keep developing from within without disrupting the chemistry. But look, if I had to predict personally, here’s what I think happens. Shamut signs, that’s almost a given. The Knicks shop Cole quietly to see if they can free up a roster spot. If they can, they target a low drama veteran insurance piece, someone like Don Wright, who would not cause headaches about minutes. But the wild card that is still a possibility is if the front office decides Simmons is worth the gamble and that would be the most polarizing move of the summer as us Knicks fans are very divided about this topic with Simmons. So to my fellow Knicks fans, what do you think? Do you want to see the team add another veteran along with Shamid? And does that even make sense or should they just roll with what they’ve got right now? And if they do make that move, who’s your pick for that final roster spot? The Knicks are exploring adding another veteran, potentially through a trade, as reported by Ian Begley, with internal support for bringing back Landry Shamet. This NBA news suggests the New York Knicks are actively looking at Knicks trade options to create an additional roster spot. Stay tuned for more Knicks news today! 🔥

Ian Begley just dropped an interesting update. There’s a lot of internal support for bringing Landry Shamet back to the Knicks, but he also wouldn’t rule out the team adding another veteran alongside him. The only way that happens? A trade to open up another vet minimum slot… which could put names like Ben Simmons, Malcolm Brogdon, or Delon Wright in play.

In this video, I break down what Begley said, how a trade could actually happen, and which current Knicks player could realistically be moved to make room for a second veteran signing. Plus — will any new addition even crack Mike Brown’s 10-man rotation, or is this more about depth insurance?

  1. Should the Knicks TRADE Kolek in order to bring in BOTH Shamet & Simmons? 🧐👀

  2. Yeah I mean we don’t even need kolek this season… might as well go for the veteran route and get both those guys IF possible

  3. Yes that is a must
Knicks must keep shammet and add on Ben sims
And send kolex to the g League and refix his contract for shammet and add on Ben sims

    This is go time
We need all hands and mans on deck

This is a big boss move on Dolan
    Ok
New York see the big picture

    From a real new Yorker
    Kool Keith 😎

And if any one want to the the reason why
Please send me a comment and I will explain the reason why
    For keep
Shammet and add on Ben sims

  4. Ok the reason why shammet his plays great with starters and bench and has chemistry with them
Shammet can play with or with out the ball on catch and shot and good defense and rebound
And for big Ben Simmons he will
Be a unicorn for all 5 positions and that man doesn't have to score a point but just play defense and rebound and pass and play defense for all 5 positions and that how he will get run for all 5 positions.
We all know that man has never played 82 games yet for anyone
And if his agent send him anywhere else for the money and that man doesn't give them 82 games
    He is done
And also his agent that doesn't care about his career and brand and marketing
But with new York he will get run by playing all 5 positions
Like a break in case of emergency type of guy for all 5 positions
    That's is needed
And that man doesn't have to score a point but just play defense for all 5 positions
And once again he doesn't have to score a point
We have shooters and scores on the floor like shammet and bridges and Kat and yasebel and Mitch and aerial apporty and Clarkson and Bronson and duce and Hart and o to the g
That's were the ball be going to all the time ok and
Remember this we won alot of games with d wright and d wright didn't have to score a point but just play defense and rebound and pass the ball ok and d wright help us win alot of games and again been that happen remember that Bronson and duce were out at the same time but d wright kept us a float and all of scores and shooters did well on there average and raised it even more when duce and Bronson were out
Ok another point I am so so tired of small point guards like duce and Bronson getting pushed around ok but with d wright none of that happened at all and the game had paste and we move in motion for smooth transaction
So once again Ben can do the same but what makes him a unicorn for us
He can play and guard all five positions with no problem
Now you understand what I am saying
So for the saying he by playing all 5 positions he will make 82 games plus playoffs and also eastern conference and hopefully helps fight for the championship 🏆
And build back up his brand and marketing and revive his career all in one year
That is the olive branch that big boss Dolan is giving him
This is a big boss move on Dolan and I am so proud of him for stepping up on this matter

And now that's is one unicorn for all 5 positions
    Big Ben
And the best part vee got 2 unicorn on Mitch aswell
Now for Mitch we need him to be more vocal on defense and offensive by talking up more on what he sees on the floor by telling us when to collapse and spread out on defense and offensive
Reason v why we all know Bronson is or cap. But they don't listen to him so bronson lets his work speak for him self all the time now it's Mitch turn to be vocal on the floor
And he will be fine all he has to do this yr is that and plus work on Free throws all summer and stay on that mine set

Now yes that is 2 unicorn on the team
And this yr aswell Mitch now has back up centers so he can stay healthy for the year so he can play all 82 games plus playoffs
So the both of them will be untilize for different purposes and we will cover all spots on the floor
    When needed

Now you have the big picture
So new York stand up this is a big boss move on Dolan for stepping up on this matter

Can you smell what we are cooking
    Yes you can

So yes to Mitch shammet and add on Ben sims and let do this
    It's
    Show time

    Stand up new York

    From a real new Yorker
    Kool Keith 😎
