2026 season preview Washington Wizards edition. The projected starting five for the Wizards is going to be Bub Carrington, CJ McCullum, Bal Koulali, Chris Middleton, and Alex Sar. The main goal for the Wizards is obviously going to be not to be good to secure a top eight pick because their pick is top eight protected and if it lands outside the top eight, then they could potentially have to swap their pick with the Phoenix Suns pick. And of course, they need to continue to trade for banned contracts in order to continue to bolster their roster with assets such as first and second round picks, trade block candidates. Obviously, what they want to do once they get those players in is to flip them again to a contender. So, they’re trying to do that with Chris Middleton and CJ McCollum. And sneakily, I think also Cory Kisser lands here. And as for the breakout player this year, I’m going to go with Gub Carrington. A lot of good options on this team, but he averaged 15.4 four points per game down the stretch last season in the last 10 games.
