But $4 billion for the Blazers there. The team values for the NFL came out today. There are three NFL teams that are valued over 10 billion. Dallas dollars. Giants. Uh, wait, what? For the NFL? Yeah. Three teams over 10. Dallas, the Giants, and the Cowboys. Steelers. No. No. Cowboys. Giants. 49ers. No. I think they’re four. The Jets. Okay. I knew. Not the Jets. LA. Team Rams. Rams. The Rams. Yeah. is so fire. Yeah. Yeah. If you would have thought about that for a second with that stadium, he would have got although so the guy who bought the Blazers, his name is Tom something. I didn’t really know much about him except that he owns the Hurricanes and they’re good every year. But I Googled him just because I was curious what the to anything about him. And I think it was the Athletic did a poll during the season where they pulled hockey agents of the worst owner in the NHL and it was that guy really and apparently they all don’t like him because he’s very hands-on and like they were like he the thing you know where they had anonymous quotes from and it was like how does this guy have time to own the team and like negotiate contracts and everything else but the Hurricanes have been good like for the last few years so I would assume like maybe he knows what he’s doing so I don’t know. I was surprised to see him like running away with that poll of the worst owner in the NHL. Let’s see what he does in the NBA. So, what did it say? The Cowboys are valued at 12.8 cap. They go they go for more than that. The Cowboys would go for I I bet the Cowboys 15 to 20 billion the Cowboys. Yeah, that’s I think the Cowboys are worth like And he bought it for what was it? 123 million something like I mean, now how much money has he put into it over the years? Like, I mean, you’ve got to, you know, Sure. but you do have to pay your players. You don’t want to come up with $40 million a year to pay Michael Parsons right now. So, you know, that’s true. Um, there was some uh gambling news uh this week as well. John Matir, uh, quarterback for Oklahoma. Um he’s in a little bit of hot water apparently because of some Venmo messages that he had with a gentleman named Richard Roen. Um the Venmo messages read ultra sports gambling FIFA World Cup. Um Matier sent one sports gambling UCLA versus USC. Another one that said sports gambling, but these are all from 2022. And Matier doesn’t really think it’s that big of a deal. uh basically saying that it was a joke. Uh he put out a statement said the allegations that I once participated in sports gambling are false. My previous Veno Venmo descriptions did not accurately portray the transactions in question, but were instead inside jokes between me and my friends. I’ve never been on sports. I understand the serious of the matter, but recognize that taken out of context, those Venmo descriptions suggest otherwise. I can assure my teammates, coaches, and officials at the NCAA that I have not engaged in any sports gambling. Do you believe him? I actually I actually can believe this. I have two thoughts on this. First of all, number one, why why are we allowed to see what other people spend their money on? You don’t have First of all, why are people allowing other people to see? You can put private. Okay. Yeah, get that out of the way. Number two, and John and I were talking about this yesterday, we both use Venmo. I don’t think I’ve ever once written the actual thing I’m using the Vinmo for in the description. It’s always like some joke for my friend. Yeah. Yeah. or just like, you know, counseling or whatever, you know, dildo, sex change, things like that. Like I Yeah. Like there’s all of that. All of that. Why would you It’s a joke. If this if this guy If this dope actually wrote like sports gambling and was gambling sports, he need he needs to be suspended. Yeah. Yeah. He should I’ll tell you this. If he actually did that and was being serious and did sports gambling, it it’s a bad year for Oklahoma because like that your quarterback’s dumb then like if he was dumb enough to do that like I was already shaky on them and this doesn’t help. I believe I believe him. I don’t think Yeah, I do too. I don’t think he was sports guy. I do. I believe him. At least if he was doing it, he wouldn’t put it on Venmo like a dummy. Right. You can’t be that stupid. especially cuz it’s during the season. Like, yeah, he was an active player at the time. If you if you look up the timeline, um, he did he did delete it all real quickly after as soon as like the story went out. Yeah. About two hours later, it was all gone off his profile. So, that makes me think maybe he there was some guilt there. But, I guess if you’re just like, well, you know, I got hacked basically is what he’s saying. Yeah. Or or he might have been saying, oh, hell, they’re going to see what else I’ve written down here. Or just blame it on your manager like Otani. Yeah, that’s true. your translator. Yeah, your translator, man. Just blame it on that guy. No, the translator’s in jail. Now he’s blaming the agent. Now the agent’s the one who got him in trouble with the real estate deal in Hawaii. Yeah, there’s there’s always we’re just It’s going to be amazing one day when the Otani story when it really comes out and we find out he is just such a degenerate piece of crap. Like you know that it’s coming one day, right? So lovable. He seems he’s so lovable because he doesn’t speak. But like, so we don’t know his We really don’t know who. Maybe we should all We should all just use the language barrier as our excuse. Sorry. Pudge Rodriguez used it for 20 years. Hideki Matsuyama still uses it. Yeah, it’s unbelievable. Uh, all right. Well, good stuff there. And then there was more gambling stuff. Michael Porter Jr. of the Brooklyn Nets, who’s been traded by the Denver Nuggets. Of course, his brother Jonte Porter uh was basically kicked out of the league uh for gambling. Uh Michael Porter in an interview said, “Think about it. If you can get all your homies rich by telling to bet 10,000 on my under. This one game I’m gonna act like I got an injury and they all get a little bag.” Some people come from nothing and they think like that. Yeah. I Well, I think it’s true. I mean, I I think like in the Malik Beasley case, too, for what these guys make, they’re not making money on betting their own over. Why don’t you just give $10,000 to your to your homies, right? Like that big of a deal. Yeah. Like you want to give him a little bag, give him a little bag, but like don’t do it and get yourself in trouble. A way that you know is going to get you. I mean, speaking of dopes, this guy like my take away from this was like, man, Jokic must be so glad to have that guy out of there cuz like as a player, he was so hit or miss and some days he was good and some days he wasn’t. This is like the second or third interview he’s made headlines on in the last couple weeks. I’m like, man, like keep I bet I think the Nuggets are going to be so much better this year just by getting rid of him. Yeah, I I I I audition. Well, and they had some nice additions, too. I mean, they replaced him really well with Cam Johnson. Uh so, uh yeah, I’m with you there. So, Michael Porter Jr. uh talking about it and and he again, he’s right, but you can’t you can’t you can’t do this. I mean, it’s against the rules. It’s illegal. It’s not just against the rules. It’s illegal. So, yeah. And then Brady Kachchuck of the uh Ottawa Senators, I didn’t see this. Uh he kept getting Venmo requests from betters asking him to refund their missed wages. So he ch had to change his profile. He said, “People think I’m really going to send them money. You really think I care about your parlay?” Um it’s a big week for Vinmo. Big week for Venmo. That keeps coming up in the news. Big week for Vinmo. Here’s the thing. Players get yelled at about a lot of stuff, right? sometimes personal uh and you hope that it’s not I mean you hope as fans that fans can be un you know can be nice and enjoy the game and act like a decent human being but we know some people are not decent human beings so they’re going to treat these players like this and guys are going to scream out during games I mean Michael Porter in the interview even said you know if if I’m going for a three-point shot late in the game you hear one guy screaming at me not to make it and one guy screaming at me to make it and he said you just know it’s all about game I’m Why? Why are we listening to these people? Well, when Michael Per, he’s just really bothering these athletes that they can’t concentrate because people are talking about yelling at them about missing or making a bet. But don’t they don’t they yell at him to make or miss a shot just cuz they’re fans of his team or the other team? Yeah. Like Yeah. So, just again, it comes down to why are we able to see this guy’s Venmo? Why are fans Why are we able to see your Venmo? Can fans message him and ask for money? Like just make your Vinmo private. Yeah. Yeah, that’s much better. Big Vinmo week. All right. Uh Major League Baseball week. Uh I’m going to make my Vinmo private. How about baseball? Last night, Angels turned a triple play. The uh Seattle Mariners won their eighth straight game. They beat Baltimore one to nothing. They’re tied for first with the Houston Astros now in the American League West as that race has tightened. The Brewers won their 11th straight as they beat up on Paul Skins yesterday. Cardinals were shut out by the Rockies last night for the second time this season. Colorado has two shutouts all season. Both times against CJ and I, our Cardinals, man, that’s embarrassing. Terrible for our Cardinals. Worst Worst game of the year last night for the Cardinals. Worst game of the year. They they tease us. Oh, we’re so close to that wild card. So close. We can get We could get We could get there wild card. There was a lot of people upset about Brendan Lewis being named the starting quarterback. Quo’s nephew, the one Well, they have the kid who was like the the highest rated quarterback recruit they’ve ever had, right? And they gave him an NIL. He gave him a bag. He’s not the starter. And Brendan Lewis as a starter, I believe, was seven and 26. It’s something pathetic like that. Nine and 26. But it was Colorado and and Nevada was absolutely dreadful. Yeah, they won three games last year. Nevada did. So, I don’t know. I’m not the And one of those he barely played. I’m not the coach. I don’t know. Jessica said that there was a game where he led the team in passing yards, rushing yards, and receiving yards. So, I don’t know what the hell that that means for team. Uh, but I know that means that he’s probably pretty do dynamic. In college football, if you have a quarterback who can get outside the pocket, extend plays, or god forbid, extend, not extend plays, but get outside the pockets and break big runs, that’s a game changer, a game breaker for you. All right. Um, Heisman Trophy odds, uh, the number one guy on there is Arch Manning from the Texas Longhorns. He is the favorite at plus 750, followed by Cade Kubnick of Clemson at plus 900. Garrett Nusmeer, also plus 900 from LSU. Jeremiah Smith from Ohio State at plus 1,200. Ty Simpson, Alabama plus,600. And Lenora Sers from South Carolina at plus,700. Carson Beck on that list. DJ Lagway on the list as well. Carson Beck. Yeah, Carson Beck plus, 1800. Um, yeah, interesting. Heisman, uh, it’s obviously a lot put on Arch Manning and Arch Manning this season. His head coach, Steve Sarkeesian. uh talking about Arch Manning and uh why uh what makes him such a special quarterback. He grew up in this era of seeing highlevel football. He’s watched Super Bowls. He’s watched gold jackets getting put on. He’s been to playoff games. Uh he’s been recruited the highest level as the number one player in the country. He watched Quinn navigate through, you know, the ups and downs of being a starting quarterback at the University of Texas. And I think the one thing that you’ll find out about Arch is one, he’s got a very even keel about him. Um, two, he’s very quick-witted. He’s got a great sense of humor about himself and he’s okay to laugh at himself. And I think that that’s a great quality to have. Um, because at the end of the day, there’s there’s going to be adversity that’s going to strike this season. And we all talk about resiliency and grit and all those things that are needed when adversity strikes, but but I think some of that resiliency can come from calm, remaining calm. And Arch definitely has that about him. He He calm, calm, calm. Okay. I think that just sounds like he’s speaking at a function and just has to make up a bunch of crap. Why did Why did he say he was going to be able to to get past diversity because he’s got a sense of humor. I think he said adversity. I was hoping you Oh, I’m sorry. I Here’s the thing about all those Heisman guys. Diversity. It’s the name of an old wooden ship. Uh the about all those Heisman guys and the odds for all those guys. All the SEC guys scare me because they play good teams all season long and it’s hard to string together like 12 games in a row or whatever where you’re where you’re going to look dominant. You’re going to have games where you get picked twice or three times, whatever. Out of all those names, Jeremiah Smith’s the one I would probably lean to because Ohio State plays four ranked teams all season and I know the first team they play is Texas, but after that, like it’s it gets easier for them. So, I I mean, he’s also just so dominant. Like, I would think that might be the way I would go here is is go Jeremiah Smith. Yeah, I I don’t I don’t think you’re wrong. Everybody understand the rules? Yes, I do. All right, we’ll go in alphabetical order. Is that good? Yeah, sure. All right, we’ll start with uh Alabama as you see the numbers for all of the teams. Alabama is 9 and a half minus 114 for the over, minus 106 for the under. So, pretty much split right down the middle. I’m going to go Alabama over 9 and a half. I I I think Alabama’s schedule is set up to win 10 or possibly even 11 games this year. A lot of it uh goes on Tai Simpson obviously and what he’s going to be capable of doing. Much of the starting defense returns for Alabama and they got better as year went on last year. They weren’t very good early in the season, but they got better as year went on. If this team doesn’t go over, Kaylin Dbor finds himself on the hot seat. I agree with all that. I think they probably win 10 or 11, but yeah, I they you want to CJ’s probably gonna bring up the BCR. He was teaching me about that, the blue chip rating. Mhm. Uh Alabama and Ohio State have the the highest blue chip rating in college football this year. Talent wins. I’ll go Alabama. Uh over easy. Roser. Uh I want to lean towards the over, but it’s a stay away. I I count on their schedule. I I mean, Monroe, Wisconsin, Vandy, Missouri, Tennessee, Eastern Illinois. I think that’s like seven wins right there. So, I got to get three more. at Georgia, they’re not going to be favored. LSU Oklahoma, that’s cool. You get them at home. Um, at South Carolina, South Carolina was tough last year for them, but I I don’t I don’t know. South Carolina probably not as good this year. At Auburn’s always weird. Last four times they’ve played at Auburn. Auburn’s won two of them. The other two, one of them Jaylen Milro had to throw that into the game endzone past Isaiah Bond. The other one was an Alabama win where it went to four overtimes. So, that game’s always weird. I want to take the over, but part of me thinks like there’s just another part of me that’s like maybe Kayn Dor’s just not a good fit in Alabama and somehow this is just this could go wrong. I don’t know enough about Tai Simpson. Yeah, CJ, I’m I’m confused as to how Kaylin Dbor, who went nine and three in his first season, wouldn’t be a a good fit, right? Like it’s it’s year two. He’s got another year of them guys into his system. Lang brought up how talented they are, talent rich they are with the four and the five stars. The biggest question at Alabama is what is the quarterback position going to be? Be it what’s his name? Todd Simpson or or somebody else back there. It’s Simpson. They named Simpson. They named Simpson the starter. They named him as starter. They he can go out there and very quickly the second week of the season be like, “Okay, clearly he’s not it.” Right? You go in there and the backup’s the guy who was the quarterback at Washington for Kaylin Dbor. Yeah. So you go in there and you mess around and you struggle against Florida State win and you struggle against Monroe win and then that Wisconsin game you’re looking at is like okay time for us to to make a quarterback change because this quarterback all he has to do is just don’t turn the ball over. Like that that is it. There’s so much talent on that defense, so much talent at the skill position players. We’ve seen great college football teams. Alabama has a couple of cases of this. Georgia has a couple of cases of this. I think you can throw Michigan, that national championship team in there as well, where it is, hey, we we don’t have a game breaker at quarterback, but we don’t need a game breaker at quarterback. And according to where is my stat at? Oh man, it’s time to work slate. Yeah. Per True Media, each of the last eight champs per who? True media. Eight champs returned at least 11 players with six or more starts the previous year. Only four of the 10 only four of the 10 teams with the best odds to win it all per FanDuel fit this metric. Alabama is one of those teams. You couple in the fact that they’ve got the the four and the five stars with the experience. I will take the over on on Alabama. All right. Uh there you go. Three of us taking the over and Roser staying away. I just stay away from it. Arkansas 5 and a half. Uh the over is plus 108 to the under minus 132. Uh I’m staying away from this one. Um ton of offensive turnover. I I don’t know if they’re very good, but but I think they got I think they got enough wins to make it close on their schedule. I do I do too, except when you look at this schedule, the Tigers game’s huge. They their first five games are at home against Alabama&M and then Arkansas State. And then they play at Old Miss, at Memphis, and then home against Notre Dame. Yeah. Before you get into the meat of the SEC schedule. And then in the SEC schedule, you got Tennessee, you got Texas A&M, you got LSU, you got Texas. All ranked teams. Like they get Mississippi State. They don’t play Vanderbilt. Like they play they end with Missouri. Maybe they get that. But like I I I’d either stay away or go the under. This is one of the teams that like as much as I like Sam Pitman and think he’s fun, like I I think they’re probably on their last legs and I’d probably just I’d probably just take the under. Yeah. Uh this is under for me looking at Arkansas schedule. They only have five wins on the schedule. So it seems like an easy under five and a half. Alabama&M, Arkansas State, uh Memphis, Mississippi State, and Missouri. I think those are the only five games they could win. Everything else just looks like a loss to me. So, I think they only have five possible wins, so I’ll say under five and a half. All right, CJ. Weird stuff happens in that Texas A&M game, and that could get you to six, but it’s it’s not by by much. Uh there are there are teams who I think Alabama fits this mold perfectly, right? We were just talking about them. There are teams who you bet the over on because you just trust what they are as a program. There are teams you bet the underarm on because you don’t trust them as a program. And then there are teams where you sit down and you look at the schedule, it’s just like, holy hell, where are they going to lose at? I think Penn State fits that mold this year. And Arkansas, unfortunately for them on the other side of that, if they do hit the over, it’ll be because Tayen Green, they did a better job protecting him at the quarterback position. He was sacked 32 times last season. The Razerbacks gave up 36 total sacks on the year, hitting them 114th in the nation overall. They did grab Cory Robinson II out of the portal from Georgia Tech. He’s going to come in and help out that offensive line. They returned a couple of players on the offensive line. But yo, when you’re you’re telling me your schedule consists of and you you’ve got to get at least one probably two wins here from from this group. Old Miss, Notre Dame, Tennessee, Texas A&M, LSU, Texas. I just don’t see where a win is going to come from. They’ll jump up and bite somebody. They bit Tennessee in the ass last year. I just don’t know if it’ll be enough for them to get to the the over. I don’t like this one either. I will lean under, but in general, I’ll try and stay away. There’s a whole episode on the Netflix SEC show about the Arkansas offensive line and about how those guys are trying to keep weight on and they keep ordering a just like big things of Cheddar Bay biscuits from Red Lobster just to like carb load and keep the weight on. That kind of made me feel positive about them. Really? Yeah. That’s a That’s a smart way, man. If you’re gonna like biscuits. Yeah, those biscuits are biscuits. Those biscuits are really good. Shout out Red Lobster. Auburn’s number is 7 and a half. 7 and a half for Auburn. The over is minus 164. The under for Auburn is plus 134. I’ll go ahead and take that plus money. I’m taking the under uh for Auburn this year. Uh, I I I think this team, the schedule, their easiest games are on the road and I don’t know if they can possibly make up as much ground as they need to make up to beat those teams on the road this year. They were a bad football team last year and and I don’t know why it’s going to be a lot better other than Jackson Arnold is going to be great apparently. You know, well, I’m taking the under on them. You know what gave me pause was when it came out earlier that uh Hugh Fes had to ask DJ Durkin, the defensive coordinator, to take it easy on Jackson Arnold in practice because he he needs to get his confidence up. So you’re like, “Okay, that not a kind of a red flag to me.” Looking at their schedule, I mean, they play Baylor, Ball State, South Alabama, Mercer. That’s four wins right there, right? So then they got to get three out of four of the rest of those games. I mean, is Baylor an automatic? That line keeps changing. Yeah, BA Baylor’s Baylor’s not an automatic win, but I’m I see where you’re going with L. And this I’m over the seven and a half on Auburn because even without Baylor, Ball State, South Alabama, Missouri, Arkansas, Kentucky, Vanderbilt, Mercer, that’s seven right there. They’re going to go to There’s no way he’s going to lose to Diego Pavia again. Is he Hugh Fes? There’s no way he’s going to lose to him again. Um, give them Baylor and that’s eight. And that’s eight without touching Oklahoma&M, Georgia or Alabama. That’s eight without that. Auburn, the recruiting rankings, they’ve been 10th and seventh the last two years and they finally had a top 10 portal class this year at eighth. I think if it’s going to happen for Auburn and Hugh Fes, this is the year. I think over seven and a half. All right, CJ. I can’t get to that under fast enough. I listen, I’m I’m with you. You hate Hugh Freeze? I do. I despise everything you stands on. Um but more more well not more importantly than my hatred. My hatred is the most important. It trumps all. Uh second thing is the the quarterback situation where some of the issues that he had last year felt like a confidence thing when he was at Oklahoma and now he’s coming in and what we’re hearing and nobody you don’t you don’t have to say anything. I think Hugh Freeze told us this, like you don’t have to say anything about your quarterback in practice, but to find out that and usually the the starting quarterback is playing against your second team defense. Finding out your second team defense is being asked to be a bit more bland so we can get the the confidence up is is concerning because you can’t do that in the game. You can’t go up to, I don’t know, Texas&M be like, “Hey, hey, hey guys, you guys are playing really well. Can you dial back some of the blitzes? Can you make the coverages a little more simple so my guy can get some confidence? Because let me tell you, once he gets confident, we are going to be rolling. No, you you can’t do that. And so if that’s the issue right now, I don’t think it gets any better in the in the season. I’ll take the under. All right. Uh Florida Gator, their total 7 and a half. Uh the over is plus money, plus 106. The under minus 130. Uh I’m staying away from this one. I I think Florida’s right there on the cusp of being seven or eight. That’s kind of where I see them finishing. As much as I like DJ Lagway last year, like I their schedule’s brutal, man. They played they they open with a couple of cupcakes, but then they got the number nine team, the number 10 team, the number one team in a row. They play Texas A&M. They Mississippi State and then Georgia. Like that’s a gauntlet to go through for a sophomore DJ Lagway. and and you know who got hurt last year. Like we’ll see if he stays healthy this year like with a hamstring thing. So I I’m staying away. I think they also have Old Miss and Tennessee at the end of the season, too. Like like that’s a tough schedule. And then Florida State at the end. What if they’re good? Like we don’t know. Um so I I’m staying away. Uh I I kind of I’m a Georgia guy, but I kind of like DJ Lagway in Florida and Billy Naper. I want them to to be good and turn things around, but I think at best they might just kind of be Yeah. Okay. A seven and five. What do you think, John? Everybody loves Florida. Everybody loves Florida. They love their talent. Love Florida’s talent and they love DJ Lagway. DJ Lagway’s two games last year where it was like, “Okay, maybe Florida’s turning stuff around were against the wins over LSU and the wins against Miss.” You know what DJ Lagway did in those games? Against LSU, he was 13 of 26 and against Miss He was 10 of 17. They won those games with defense. Jackson Dart, looking at you throwing picks everywhere. Do you know what Billy Napier’s record is against ranked teams? Bad. I’ll tell you, he’s gone in three years, he went 1 and5, 1 and5, and then two-4. He is four and 14 against ranked teams. Each of his first three years, he has lost two games by the fifth week of the season. and he started 2-2 in 2022, 3-2 in 2023, 1-2 in 2024, and this year he’s going to have two losses by week five again because you look at the schedule, they’re going to lose to Texas, and they’re going to lose to LSU. Seven of their 12 games are against ranked teams. Four on the road, three at home. Well, who are those three at home? Well, two of them are Texas and Georgia, under seven and a half on Florida. Billy Nay Pierce fired. George’s a neutral sight game. That’s in That’s a road game. Have you seen what George has done to them? That’s a road game. That’s a bloodbath. The cocktail party. Yeah. CJ, where you got the Gators? I got them I got them going the the under route. Um they they might be improved in some ways this this season, but you’re playing that type of a a schedule. Um, I I find it hard to believe to Roser’s point that Lagway is going to make the significant jump that you’ll need to make in order for uh you to to get those get enough of those types of of of wins. And also like can he stay healthy? Is he going how many games will he miss? He’s already hurt. He’s already missing scrimmages in practice. Like he’s not able to go. He’s already That’s not good. He’s already banged up. I really felt I I felt very pro gambler vibe right there. Like it’s like reeled it off about Florida. Like a shark. They might be like they they can’t have more t they could have like they could have top 10 talent in the country. This schedule is brutal. It is brutal, man. Cuz you stopped at Georgia. Well, after that you’re at Kentucky. They suck. That’s why I stopped at Georgia. But then you’ve got Old Miss and Tennessee and Florida State to end the year. like it it’s like it is just it’s a brutal brutal schedule and Billy Napier has never gotten off to a fast start and when you’re looking at weeks three, four, and five having LSU, Miami and Texas and then Texas A&M in week six like that’s just all of this is why it was so odd to me and there’s another why everybody loves Florida. Um, but it was so odd to me that they made it into the AP preseason top 25 because like, okay, do we do we really think Florida is going to be good enough to be a top 25 caliber team? Cuz cuz I I don’t What ended up happening is Florida rattled off a bunch of those those wins to end the year and there was some excitement with DJ Lagway and so like that’s that’s what it is. Yeah. I mean, I can look at like the Old Miss game, dude. They won 24 to7. It’s not like Jackson Dart freaking threw two terrible interceptions in that game. And then like you look at the LSU game. They beat LSU 27-6 and freaking Nusmeire was blah as hell. But like they winning those games with defense. They’re giving up 16 and 17 points to two highowered offenses in Old Miss and LSU. Like they won the game with defense. They’re not. So to me it’s not like and everybody’s counting on lag way like he’s going to make this huge leap. I mean maybe he is going to be really good like he’s going to have to be. George is 9 and a half. The over is minus 164. The under is plus 134. And I’m I’m going to have to lay the juice minus 164 because I’m going over with Georgia. I I I think their schedule is very conducive to going over nine and a half. I think 10 or 11 easy for Georgia. Georgia had a really hard schedule last year and this year it balances a little bit. Yeah. Um I don’t know what to make of this team with Gunnar Stockton’s first full full year as the starter. Uh I think really you got to look at what they get out of the wide receivers and the running backs because last year they didn’t get a lot of production out of those guys and they couldn’t stay healthy. They did get the transly healthy. They got Nate Frasier coming back and at receiver they got a couple Dylan Bells healthy. So, I don’t know. I I look I I’ll always take the over on Georgia. And I think if people especially when it’s in single day, I’m betting on Kirby Smart. Oh, Lang, I got you here. I got you. This is an over on Georgia. They only play three games outside the state of Georgia. The scheduling gods on their side. I I guess unless they did this on purpose. They did this on purpose. But they have two by weeks and they come between their hardest games. They have a by-week between the Tennessee and Bama games and they have a by-week between Miss and Florida. Yeah. Like those are their four toughest games and they got by weeks between them. So yeah, this is an overall and they have Alabama at home and they have Old Miss at home. Yeah. Yeah. And Florida is a neutral sight. So um yeah over Texas they have Texas at home late in the season, too. CJ, you over? Easy over. Yeah. All right. Uh Kentucky Wildcats four and a half. All right. Let under I’m taking the under. Under four and a half. Zack Kalzada is one and nine as a starter in his career in the SEC. Now, that one win was over Alabama, but he’s one and nine. Um, and two starters return on. Yeah. So, they uh one of them they have three wins on this schedule. Toledo, Tennessee Tech, and Eastern Michigan. And they might Toled I was here listening to some stuff last night like don’t count that as an automatic win for Kentucky that they just beat Toledo. So, apparently they’re going to beat Toledo. Rockets may have a squad, but they suck. Like they’re they’re games that you would consider like a tossup like oh, you know, maybe Vanderbilt, Louisville, South Carolina, Auburn, they’re all on the road. Yep. So it’s maybe maybe they can beat Miss because they beat Miss last year, but I think there’s going to be a revenge factor there for the Rebels. So I’m under on Kentucky last year for Mark Soups. More like Kentucky. Yeah, they’re look I don’t think he makes it. So where have we gone? We’ve gone Arkansas. I’ve gone under on Arkansas, Florida, Kentucky. Yeah, they’re all looking for new coaches. All three of them. And I feel the worst for Sam Pitman cuz I like Sam Pit. I think he’ll retire. They’ll let him retire and let Oh, he’s going to go live on a lake and just chill with his Firehog outside. CJ Kentucky. That’s crazy. He has a He’s talking about Sam Pitman’s Firehog. Have you ever seen he has like he has like a statue of a hog outside his house at the lake that lights up on fire and you can like he talks about like people on boats come by and like honk and stuff at it cuz he’s got one of those. You need to get a fire haul. Yeah, I’ve got a fire hog. Let me tell you not talking about that CJ. The hog on fire. What are you talking about? Like I actually have a fire hog. Like I have one. Congratulations. You’ve lost an opening game every year you’ve been there. Florida State uh twice and then USC and now you open at Clemson. I feel like they are putting so much into this Clemson game and they are going to be so disappointed when they lose to uh Cade Clubnick. You know, if I you search u you know if you search you Google search somebody’s name and then there are lists like right below that of popular searches also about you know said thing. So I did this earlier with Garrett Nusmeer and literally the first thing that is a popular search is is Garrett Nusmeer good 29 touchdowns 12 picks like and it could have been about 25 picks if you watch that guy play he’s already banged up in camp and the guy takes sacks cuz he’s a gunslinger. The guy’s going to get hit. He’s going to get hit a bunch so there’s already the injury concerns there. Um, I think the opening loss from CL I think they’re gonna lose to Clemson to open the season and everybody thinks like I feel like they’re putting way too much into this game in the first game and they’re going to lose this game to Clemson. You know, they got paw prints all over the uh the weight room. They’ve got to play uh Alabama on the road and they got to play Oklahoma on the road. I think those are also uh games they could lose. Florida, you never know there. Um, and then Miss I think Miss is going to want revenge because Miss gave that game away last year down in Baton Rouge. I think Miss will want revenge. I’m under the eight and a half on LSU. I’m with you, Roser. On the topic of the the Nusmeire piece of it, unranked, here’s his stats versus unranked teams last year. Yards per attempt, 8.1 completion percentage, 67% touchdowns, 23 interceptions, seven, 319 yards per game. against the ranked teams, 6 and a half yards per attempt, 55 completion percentage, only six touchdowns, five interceptions, and 287 yards. They went 1 and3 against the likes of USC, Texas A&M, Alabama. And it’s not just that LSU loses those opening games. They’re favored in those opening games going back to 2020 when they were a 14 and a half favor point against Mississippi State, lost outright. 2021, a one and a half point favorite to US UCLA, lost outright. 2022 4 and 1/2 point favorite 2023 two-point favorite both against Florida State lost outright last year four-point favorite against USC a USC team that really struggled in the Big 10 lost out outright. I would expect them to lose to Clemson as well. I’m not sure where the the nine wins come in. I I think they get right to eight that will put them at the under. Therefore, I won’t bet it. I’ll lean under on the LSU side. I I think I think the other side too that we have to with we’re talking about Nusmeire, it has to be the defensive side for LSU. LSU has been so bad defensively under Brian Kelly. Um they have been they were in 2024 they were I believe looking at it it’s oh god well they got 16 teams 16 15 14 13 12 11th in defense and yards per game in 2024. the year before that when there were 14 teams in the SEC, they were 13th in giving up yards per game. Um, the defense has been absolutely bad under Brian Kelly. That’s the thing is like I feel like the defense can’t get worse. It can’t get Look, it has to get better. They also spent a bunch of money in the NIL this off seasonason and got a bunch of like transfer guys in on defense. I would I would take the over on LSU. Okay. Except Brian Kelly. Brian Kelly terrifies me. I would not trust that man to park my car. Yeah. And so like I’m not gonna take the over. I’m just staying away. If I had to pick one, I would take the over. Like I think that roster is the most talented roster he’s had. Like he said, Nick Sabin, Les, Miles, Ed, Oron, all won a national championship within their first four years at LSU. I just don’t trust Brian Kelly. All right. We’re halfway through the SEC, which means we’ll do the other half next week. Oh, that’s what we’re going to have to do. Uh every year for the past 22 seasons, there has been at least one preseason top team that has finished the year unranked. We’ll see who that is this year. Everybody’s favorite Miami here is Miami. Yeah, it seems everybody South Carolina. Well, they’re not top 10 teams. Top 10. Yeah, top 13 South Carolina. Yeah, they they ain’t going to finish up there. Florida, they won’t finish ranked. Seven wins won’t get you in the top 25. Uh Vanderbilt remains the only Power Conference team that has never been ranked in the AP preseason top 25 poll, right? So, that’s too bad. I will go ahead and start. Go first. Number five on my list, Penn State Nitney Lions. I got the Georgia Bulldogs in at number four. I trust in Kirby, thus I trust in Gunner Stein. Do you trust game James Franklin? Well, to not be number two. All right. Yeah, they’ll stick up to because as CJ has pointed out, they should win every game they play this year with the exception of one. So, yeah, they’ll they’ll be there by default. They have nine conference games. Yeah, I know. and they take on Ruters. That’ll be Georgia at four, three Ohio State. Uh two Clemson and number one, I’m an arch believer, so I’m going with the Texas Longhorns as a number one team in the country. Um I think uh they could go unscathed this year. They do have a couple of games that might be loable, including that Ohio State game to start off the season. Uh but I think uh I think there’s a better chance that they go unblenmished this year. So I’m going with Texas as a number one. And they got NFL talent everywhere. Lang fish when you texted me and asked for my top five. Mhm. I was ready to stick it to everyone, but the SEC where it just means more. Y. So, I’m going Georgia, Texas, Alabama. We’ll go South Carolina four. And then what? Just to be fair, I’ll throw Clemson in there just to be fair. Just to be fair, Clemson falls to five after South Carolina beats him in the last game of the season. I’ll tell you this, I don’t think Texas is the number one team in the country, though. Call me an AR. You said you’re an arch believer. Yeah. Call me an archeneemy. Oh, an archeneemy. Uh, I’ll go uh Alabama 5, Clemson 4, Texas three, Georgia 2, Penn State one. He believes in James Franklin. That Listen, man. That schedule is is just Oregon, Ohio State. I don’t believe in Indiana. So, what if they lose both of those, though? Then they’re 10-2 and in the playoffs. Like, what do we like? They’re they’re 10-2 and in the playoffs with a chance to win a couple of games in the in the playoffs. You don’t have to win your your conference anymore to get the the the championship. Ohio State didn’t make it to their conference championship. They shouldn’t have been in the playoffs. They lost to a bad Michigan team, but I look up and they’re playing in the last game of the season against some nobody ass team. And one of those losers had to win. So, I guess we acknowledge Ohio State. Sorry ass as champions frozer. I CJ should have gone last after that. Um mic drop one of those sorry ass schools uh that CJ didn’t want to talk about. Notre Dame at uh at number five. And if I think Alabama I figure I just kind of think Texas, Georgia and Alabama are kind of interchangeable there. So I’ll have 2, three, four, Texas 2, Georgia 3, Alabama 4. You could really probably put those in whatever order. I’m not going to argue with you. And I’m going to say Clemson number one. And my reasoning for that is solely they bring back so much continuity. And they have at least if it was probably today, they’ve got the number one pick in the NFL draft in Clubnick. So, and he plays the most important position. Yeah. So, I heard Nire is the number one pick in the Davo. Do Well, whoever drafts him is going to regret it. Um, Kade Clubick. Do you’re building the right way. comes to fruition and Clemson’s the number one team in the country. That’s right. All right. There you go. He doesn’t need the portal. Do need the portal. All right. You got the Titans at the Falcons preseason game. And they had an open scrimmage today and had numerous fights with Michael Penn in the middle of them punching people. So I’ll just take the over on that one. Over points. Root for points. Uh the line’s 38 and a half. So I’ll take the over on that. 142 and one on the overs last week. You know who the Falcons backup tight end is? No. Felipe Franks. Ballpark. Ballpark Franks. Get out of here. Yeah. How you like that? Wasn’t he a quarterback? Yes. For the Falcons. We’re going to parlay some stuff. teams to miss the playoffs. We’re going to go Dolphins, Seahawks, Bears, Buccaneers. Get you plus 636. Miss the playoffs. And if you just want to do it, uh you can get plus 102 if you do just the Dolphins and the Seahawks. Uh the Dolphins are a freaking disaster right now. They have had so many name a Dolphins defensive player. Well, you would say Chop Robinson. Well, he went down today. He got carded off the field in practice. So, no Chop Robinson. They’ve lost a couple of guys in their secondary already. Uh I’m sure two will make it through the season healthy. Exactly. Tough uh tough in Miami. Um so, yeah, I would be uh I would be betting the Dolphins to miss the playoffs and then just parlay that with somebody else. You can look at the lists online and you can get to plus money on that.
