MASSIVE Trae Young TRADE To The Sacramento Kings? | NBA Trade Rumors
So, could the Atlanta Hawks be trading away Trey Young to the Sacramento Kings this 2025 NBA off season? Well, here on the screen is a trade proposal or a trade idea from fadeawayorld.net. The link to this article is down below in case you want to go ahead and check it out for yourself, but this trade would see the Sacramento Kings receiving Trey Young and the Atlanta Hawks receiving Demar De Rozan, Malik Monk, a 2028 first round pick and a 2029 second round draft pick. So, there has been some subtle, I guess, speculation the last couple days regarding Trey Young and maybe his future in Atlanta. I guess the two sides have not really talked to each other about a contract extension, which has sparked some very way too early trade rumors, I would say, regarding Trey Young. But yeah, perhaps Trey Young’s time in Atlanta could be winding down. Maybe they do trade him eventually. Whatever the case may be, I guess only time will tell. But Trey Young is still a very talented player. Obviously, he’s a little bit undized. uh come playoff time there hasn’t really been that much success but he’s a very electric player one of the best playmakers in all of basketball uh can shoot the ball tremendously well as well and would actually bring a lot of value to the Sacramento Kings team and most importantly as well he’d bring in some interest and he’s a very fun player to watch so I think for this Kings group that’s a little bit stale right now I think sort of adding some more uh electric play into your mix like Trey Young what he what he would bring to the table in Sacramento is a pretty good idea he’d be a fan favorite and he’d bring a lot of value to this to this Kings team in this case too. Uh playing alongside Damon Sabonis, that pick and roll offense would be pretty good. And Zack Lavine as well, having a big three of those guys is very good, I would say, for the 2025 26 season and beyond. So from the Kings perspective, I love this move a lot. From the Hawks perspective here, I probably wouldn’t do this move. Uh if you’re trading for an older Demar D Rozan, who’s still very good, but it’s a very short-sighted move if you ask me. Malik Monk, you know, a little bit of an older player as well. Nothing crazy. He’s a very talented player, don’t get me wrong. Like you’re adding like a 20 plus point per game guy in D Rozan. You’re adding sort of a mid to high teens guy point per game wise in Malik Monk plus two first round draft picks. That’s some pretty good value, especially because historically speaking, the Kings have been a draft lottery uh mainstay. So maybe those picks in 2028 and 2029, although it’s not super long from now, maybe those picks are lottery picks despite the fact that Trey Young would be going to the Kings. So, it’s not a terrible move, but if the Kings are able to hold on to Demanis Sabonis and Zack Lavine, who I would value a little bit more so than Demar De Rozan and Malik Monk, and you’re adding Trey Young to the group, I sort of respect it and I kind of like it at the end of the day. So, Atlanta’s a really good team. They definitely have a chance to win the Eastern Conference next year. I think Trey Young has to be on the team though to make that happen. So, for all those reasons, to me, I think the winner of this deal would be the Sacramento Kings. But, as always, leave your thoughts.
