Spurs Keldon Johnson Shooting Workout!
What up, guys? I’m NBA master trainer Chris Johnson and welcome to my channel. Up. You see the clock? Ready? Up. Up. Got it. Boom. Up. Nice. 1 2 3. [Music] Just who is in the building? If you haven’t, make sure you turn on your post notifications today right there. Click that bell and go and like and subscribe to my So now still saying press through. When I press through his hip, you might want to square cord cuz I already got you. I can really just go through right there. Yeah, you go. I’m coming right at you, Blake. Up now. Right there. That bump is a read. That bump is separation. You might even have a jump shot right off of this bump when I bump, then drive to open space, allowing you to be able to free up and read again. So to me, everything is like a read. Bump reads. Anytime I can bump, I can read. Anytime I can footwork you and clear and skip, I can read. Anything that does this is right now. So if I get a chance, I’m coming off and I I can skip. I can survey the court and do this. I can anytime you can skip and you can bump. So reads are important because I get to see where he’s at, what he’s doing, what the backside is doing. So if I can create bump and leverage, I can get to it. Cory going to get the first one, then you get the second one. Two-way drive. Hold him up with them shoulders. We got you. You can go slow, too. Low and slow. Push straight. Bump it. Yes. There you go. Nice. Great job. You see what I’m saying though? Because even if Cory were to go, go with me, coach. I need you anyway. I’m cook fry co. Don’t do that cuz I’m going there. Straight up and come forward. Straight up. Come forward. There you go. So now even here he put his chest there. You put your chest there. I’m going to change. You want to? Yeah. So you can All I’m looking at as we’re attacking is is like body frames. So he put his whole chest there. Put your whole chest there. Good. You can change on him and keep going. So when people show frame, they show the whole body frame. You don’t have to go through them. I’ll change on you. So the biggest change is between or it’s the drop dribble and so but now try to engage where you got help. Yep. And engage with that shoulder and then try to push down. So when I bump, come on, coach up. So you’re able to keep that dribble alive. You can see corner kicks and you can see everything by being able to two-way drive and keeping that dribble. So we got two-way drive. Press into him. Ready? Low shoulder. Good bumping. There it is. Three, two, one. Get in there, girl. I like that. That was good. Ke, stay on Stay on that 45. Low shoulder. Low. There you go. Bump. Nice. Money ball. Got it. Come on, Chris. Get out. Get out by yourself. Yep. Yep. Get across. Bump. Nice. F. Got it. Yep. Stay with it. Me right there. Make it Make it physical for him. Yep. On that drop dribble. Go with me, Cory. I want to take up that space. So here as I’m here by myself. So right here what we would do with BR. Yeah. Because when I turn into him, I went here and Cory did. Look how I’m taking up his space now. I can and fade him. I could drive up. If Cory’s a good defender. Go Cory. I’m back. Fading like you’ll start reading him. But here once you drop into him, that’s my space. Load the elbow for me coach. Perfect. a little higher. So that’s still my gap. That’s an illusion because you got a shooter from here. So up a little higher. Now I want to take that space here. Now taking that space. Pompe dwe pump foul free throw line. Four points extra. Let’s add four more on your average. 16. 16 is different than 12. Good. Good. Five. Four. Yep. Three, two, one. Free throw. Nice. That’s free throw line. And then now if he goes step around, you seen Debo. Yeah. Boom. Free throw line. Then everybody stay down. Jimmy, everybody just All right. He going to pump fake. Pop. Shoot over you. Yep. Three. So you want to turn that drive on. A lot of people want to do this and go. I want to be able to turn my drag bump here. Now, right now, turn it on. Now, I’m there so I can get the separation. Yes. Drag him. Drag him. Yep. One. Drag him. Stop. That’s your box. Because what if you go right back to the right? Cory, play that. I’m just going to play out of the drag here. See how he pop. So your drag allow him to read and see. If he was a really quick guy, I wouldn’t drag. I go here, here, and then get right back to it. A lot of guys never see what’s going on, so they don’t get a chance to see those two. Ready? Walk them through it first. Yep. Yep. Yep. Square drag. Low shoulders. Yes. Now, when you drag out, I got to see your shoulders go from here because you’re easier to stand. Yes, that’s all you cuz you’re easy. Cory, stand him up. If you do this, just stand. He going to stand you up and you’re just going to pass it. When I drop and I drop here, just like I’m pressing through now, he think I’m going to the rim and now I get everything I want. Yeah. Ready? Put him high in the slot, Cory. Hey, you see that? Cuz you’re going to shatter that. Good footwork. Yep. Yep. Low. Nice. Three, two, one. Yep. You saw Cory try to heavy contest you. Yeah. Yeah. So he he going to heavy contest because you didn’t do what? What did he do? He didn’t turn. You didn’t You didn’t drive the ball. Okay. Yeah. He knows like you don’t drive it. He just going to step and stand. Then he But if you drive it, you may go dunk it one time on it. Yeah. Sit. Sit low. Low. Yep. Yep. Low shoulder. Drive it. Drive it. Drive it. There you go. Three, two, one. That’s a late. That’s perfect. Keep that. Now, look, he looking for help now. That but that’s how that’s how your mindset should be. Your mindset should be attack. Your attack leads to your jump. And you had good footwork there. He didn’t touch you. Low. Good. Square. Drive him. There you Oh, got him again. There you go. That’s two. That’s perfect. See if you can get to IV. Good. See if you can get to it. Drive it. Footwork. Yep. Coming. One. I like it. Drive him. I want to see you stay within so I can see what’s going on and see if you understand. You did perfect. You went here. B. Now turn your driver. See what you got so I can see you stop on that left foot. That left foot. Now you get there. Ready? Here we go. Oh, get him. Got him. Yep. Yep. Nice. There you go. Up, up, up, up, up, up, up. Nice. So, we’re going to invert in, drag, invert. Two. Now downhill. Boom. You can see everything loaded, everything attacking, everything shifting, but I’m controlling my base, and I’m controlling also the drive. See it? Good. There it is. Three, two, and one. E you that’s nice. Oh, knee one. Knee one. That was good, Kevin. A little high here. Pressure up. Good invert. Boom. Footwork. Attack. Got it. I got you. Free throw. There you go. Load him. Shoot over. Nice. Knee one footward. Foot word. Respect it. Nice. Got it. Good hips. Good hip. There you go. You see what I’m saying? When you you pop hips. Now you get a chance. You had a three and a drive. Good. Let’s get to the brun. So on that brun, it’s the hang out. I step, stop, and start. Ready, Cory? Up. Boom. Hips. Stop on that left. See, I pop my feet back. Base now. Hang. Pop. On that hang. I’mma hang long enough. Watch how Cory hang with me. Now I’m going. If Cory would stay attached and I hang, I’mma push right off of it. So just stay down long enough. And the pickup on that is here. Most people want to do that. But so you can get that right footwork. Let me see. Check your base. Check your base. Good. Ah, I step. Stop on that left. One, two. Pick it up. Base. Yes. Yes. Got it. Come on. Good. Yep. Yep. Yep. Huh. And you got it. Make them feel that pressure. You ain’t going nowhere. Just hang. Hang on that four. You ain’t even got to jam up sometime. You see, see I’m like there. I’m here now then. Ready? There. There. There. So, I’m watching your feet. That’s what I was looking at on your stop here. You kind of just kind of like want two. Right there. Just be able to get that. Ready? Here it come. One. Good. Yes. There you go. Good job. You want one more like that or no? Okay. Good. One, two. Good. Good. And Kevin, look. When you start, everything you start is like this. Throw it to me. Co at your size. If you just watch Braun, you come in tomorrow, watch Braun, and come work out with it. But when you watch him, I just tell him one time and he he can sit, bro. He his flexibility and his joints are amazing. So, coach, get there. So, instead of starting like this, I’m here. So, now even when I look at my base Oh, got E. I got you. Give me one. That’s two. That’s two. Check it out. Good. Give him one more E. That’s good. Cuz Cory give him a different look. You give him a different look. Base. Yes. Give your base wide. Dang. Oh, got him. Finish. You see what I’m saying though? Look, you see your base and balance. That’s That was light. That was light. That was crazy. Good. Cory, come here. So now, same thing. Shift change. That was good though. Good base is wry push me off balance here. Shift, shift, skip. One, two. Shift, shift, skip. Now I’m back in that read where I was slowing you down. Yeah, because I’m keeping my base. I can go wider. Cory, want to hang. Hang. So that is the same variation. It’s a little bit longer hang or a short tight hang. So the first one will be a short tight one. Cory, it’s going to be watch Cory move. Now I got it. So I can freeze him and get right to it. Ready? Here we go. I step hip wide. Base. Base wide. Base wide. There you go. Good shift. Shift. Shift. Good. Right there. Money. Got it. There you go. Wide. Good. Shift. Shift. There you go. Good boy. You see what I’m saying? You You look way better cuz when you’re here, even how much you wake up. Put your feet together now. Put it together. Now, get it to where I can’t move you. So, get your feet together. Now, get them together. Look, you 240. Now get it to where I can’t move you. That’s where you should be at every time. Cuz now can’t nobody move you. Not at that weight and coming downhill. Did you see that color? Are we ready? Oh, he turned on. I step attack. One, two, balance. Chip. Good. I like it. Come here. One. Huh? Free throw. I got you. Y. Hold it. Good. Your shot is beautiful. Your shot beautiful. Hand placement is the only thing I’m watching. If your hands are here, cuz in a minute I’m going to say no drops. So your base got to be here. And now did you see how Brum finish in the corner? That wasn’t He just wasn’t around. Those are no drops. So from there when he catch in the game, he can catch it. And we’re practicing just going straight up and it’s a lot of wrist and everything. So from here, footwork, balance, base. That’s all I’m watching to see if you’re here in the chair, toes, and finishing forward. So here, light finish forward. That’s all. I ain’t going to look at your shot. I’m just watching your feet and balance. Yep. One. Nice. Beautiful. Beautiful. Yep. Beautiful. Beautiful hands. Yep. Beautiful. Got it. Hands. Yep. Open them hands up so you can be ready. Shot preparation. There you go. Good shot preparation. Nice. Coming. One. Shot preparation. Beautiful. Got it. It’s good. It’s going to stay for you. There we go. It’s going to stay for you. Hands. Nice. Yes, sir. Yep. Got it. Yep. Great job. Hands. Hands. Keep loading your base. Yep. Load the base. There you go. Load it. Got it. 15. Good. 16. Nice. Great job. 17. Load them. Load him. Beautiful. Yep. Good, Kelly. Good. Hands. Hands. Hands. Yep. Great job. Yep. You shoot from your base all day. Got it. Stay with it. Yeah. Book up. Right there. Good shot. Good kill. Where 13 14 15 16 [Music] in eight. Go there. Go. Yep. [Music] That’s the one. Yep. And up. Yep. Stay high. Finish high. Stay high. Stay high. Try to keep your elbow high. Everything high. Yep. Do it again. Everything high. Yep. Don’t swing down. Don’t swing down. Stay high. Like that. Yep. You’ll see it. Stay high. Yes. Good. Stay high. Yep. Stay high. Yep. See, that’s that’s no drops right there. That’s how strong you are to be able to shoot that up. Perfect. Up. That was a one. That was a one. Just seeing how you cuz when you f when you were holding you were holding here versus here. I’m just trying to see why the elbow on your on your midi everything was up. Did you know that? Yeah. Huh?
