This Is Genuinely INSANE…

This Is Genuinely INSANE…

This is genuinely insane, but we got to talk about it. The Dallas Mavericks have been a part of almost every rumor, rumbling, and report of insert superstar here wants to leave their team. The Dallas Mavericks apparently have the best odds of trading all of our pieces and players for any aging superstar. We’ve seen it all summer long. We’ve seen it all season long for at least over a year now. And it doesn’t stop there. And on this channel over the summer, we’ve been following the reports of one superstar and whatever he’s got going on over in his team. And that player is LeBron James. He who will be a free agent next season. And a report that came out just the other day highlights how the Dallas Mavericks will be in pursuit of LeBron James next off season. So in this video, we’re going to take a look at that report, see if there’s any truth to it, anything that we don’t already know, and why this would actually be a great thing for the Dallas Mavericks. But how’s it going everybody? My name is Marcel Mart. This is Mavericks Digest, bringing you the latest news on everything Mavericks related. And before we get started with today’s video, we are currently sitting at 21,73 subscribers. Just want to say thank you guys so much for all the support all year long, all year and a half I’ve had this channel, but we are on the goal to 22,000 subs before the end of the summer. We got about 70 days left, only 300 subs. So, if you want to be up to date on everything Mavericks related, make sure you subscribe. But the Dallas Mavericks just can’t escape the rumors. And we’ve gone over almost everyone all season long. They always have us with the best odds to trade for any player that’s made available or the best odds of firing RGM. But obviously, none of that has happened. And on this channel, we follow the tale of LeBron James all season long as he’s doing whatever over there in LA. But the rumors of him attached to the Dallas Mavericks continue to be strong. And although he’s not getting bought out anytime soon, he is on an expiring contract. And the and the Los Angeles Lakers have already said that they are treating LeBron James contract like an expiring contract. There’s no talks, no reports about LeBron James getting another contract or even an extension after this year. So obviously a lot of teams are going to want to go after LeBron James at the age of 82 is still an elite player this NBA. Maybe not the best number one option to lead you to a championship, but he could help your team win nonetheless. If we take a look right here, the report came out the other day that the Cavaliers, Mavericks, and Warriors are expected to pursue LeBron James next summer when he is a free agent. Now, this really shouldn’t come as a surprise. Is LeBron James, almost every team is going to offer him a contract. I mentioned this in my past LeBron James videos. If he got bought out by the Lakers, literally all the other teams would try to go after him. And if he’s a free agent next year, yes, almost every team is going to offer him something to just try to get a little bit of help on whatever they’re doing. the Dallas Mavericks being one of those teams. It makes a lot of sense. Yeah, we have Anthony Davis who won a championship with LeBron James, but I’m not sure if they’re on good terms. LeBron James and Cooper Flag do have a working relationship. Jason Kidd was his assistant coach when they won in LA. We have Frank Vogle who was his head coach. There are a lot of reasons why LeBron James and the Dallas Mavericks just work. If we take a look at the report, the article that came out the other day saying NBA exec expects Cavaliers, Mavericks, Warriors to pursue Lakers LeBron James in free agency next offseason. And the article follows saying NBA superstar LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers becomes unrestricted free agent next offseason for the first time since 2018. The basketball legend will make $52.6 million next season in the final year of his contract. When LeBron hits free agency next offseason, one NBA executive expects the Cleveland Cavaliers, Dallas Mavericks, and Golden State Warriors to pursue him. So, the reason why we’re not trading for LeBron James is that right there, $52.6 million. We would literally have to trade the majority of our depth or half of our starters just to get LeBron and then we’re in a worse situation than we would have been if we didn’t trade for him. But if you can get LeBron James for a cheap contract, then that’s the route that you want to go. Now, LeBron James has never taken a significant drop in salary. So, I don’t expect LeBron James to take a $2 million contract, but if some way, somehow the Dallas Mavericks can trade players move salary to offer LeBron James a decent contract, a one-year deal, as his wife does want him to retire soon, a one-year contract, maybe5 to$10 million, as he’s already a billionaire. Why not come to to the Dallas Mavericks? We got Cooper Flag. We got Max Christie and D’Angelo Russell who both played with LeBron. We have AD, not sure if they’re still cool. We got all these players, all these coaches, and we could in the future, maybe even next season, have a real shot at winning a championship. And LeBron James definitely gets you there. And I know there’s going to be a lot of people in the comment section not wanting LeBron James. And I understand all the drama and the antics and the hoopla that comes with LeBron James, but winning is also something that comes with LeBron James as well. And when you have a team as deep as a Dallas Mavericks that’s constructed that constructed the way that it currently is, LeBron James just adds to that. Cooper flag already has Klay Thompson. He has Kyrie Irving and Anthony Davis. Three future Hall of Famers and NBA champions to to model his game after and to learn from. Why not add another player like LeBron James around Cooper Flag to help his own growth and development? And not just Cooper, but also for Derek Lively, for Max Christie, for any of our young players. I think there’s a lot of benefit to getting LeBron James beyond just what we do in in these games daytoday on the wins and loss column. I think about the development in the future of these players having some of the best players around them to learn from. And of course the Golden State Warriors are another team that could be in the mix. Of course, Steph Curry, LeBron James, that’s something that a lot of people want to see happen before they both retire. And then you have the Cleveland Cavaliers where obviously LeBron James won them their first con or first NBA championship. If he went back, it’d be very poetic. like a nice little send off for LeBron. But I think the Dallas Mavericks might be the best shot that he has between those three teams to potentially win another ring. But the article does continue by saying NBA superstar LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers becomes an unrested free agent um in the next offseason for the first time since 2018. We’ve already went over that, but Cleveland, Dallas, and Golden State, those are the three teams I’m looking at. An NBA exec told Dow’s hoops journal. All three would have loved to trade for him this off seasonason, but he never requested a trade and he makes way too much money. Once he’s on the open market, those three will court him. I have no doubt in my mind. LeBron James turns 41 in December. He’s the oldest active player in the NBA. It’s unknown if the Akran native plans to play in 2627. So, yes, many teams will pursue LeBron James. That’s that’s a no-brainer. But those three teams, I like those odds. I mean, sure, Golden State, you got Steph Curry, Draymond Green, who’s literally the the cheerleader for LeBron James. Could obviously get LeBron to go there. Cleveland, he’s from Ohio. He’s from Akan. So, yeah, go back to Cleveland where you started. Try to win another one. Or come play with people that you’ve already won with. You won with Kyrie Irving already. You won with Anthony Davis already. You won with the coaches that we have. I think that the Dallas Mavericks are one of the best situations for LeBron James if he only has one year left in his career. And whatever is going on over there in LA is very odd. There have been many reports that LeBron James hasn’t even talked to Marcus Smart or DeAndre Aton where they’re unsure if LeBron really wants to be there with their change in their direction. Now that they have Luca Don, they’re reconstructing the whole team to fit him. And a lot of people think LeBron doesn’t like that he isn’t the center point. Now, if he were to come to Dallas Mavericks, you’re still not the center point. He put up really good numbers last season, but we would need to see more of a team play style that I think LeBron James can definitely contribute to. If we take a look at those numbers last season in 34.9 minutes per game, LeBron James put up 24.4 points, 7.8 rebounds, 8.2 assists, 0.6 blocks, one steal, 3.7 turnovers, and 1 f 1.4 fouls per game while shooting 51% from the floor and 37% from three. And those numbers aren’t too bad, especially for someone that’s about to turn 67 in December who’s still playing in today’s NBA. That could help the Dallas Mavericks a lot. One of the things that a lot of people have pointed out to the fact that we don’t have Kyrie Irving is we don’t have another playmaker. We don’t have another ball dominant distributor that can just initiate an offense, get everybody going. LeBron James can be that for the Dallas Mavericks. Now, next season, Kyrie Irving will be back from his injury. Maybe not 100%, but if you have LeBron James, that’s just another playmaker. That’s another player with a high basketball IQ who will have an amazing cast around him to actually win games, to actually see a finals. The Western Conference has been gearing up for this season and for the future. They’re getting better. The Eastern Conference is non-existent pretty much. They’re taking volunteers on who wants to make it to the playoffs, but in the West, it is going to be a blood bath for the future. And I truly do believe that the Dallas Mavericks could benefit from getting a player like LeBron James, especially if it doesn’t cost us any of any of our players or draft capital. But let me know in the comments section down below. Do you think that the Mavericks getting LeBron James next off seasonason is the right move? Or do you just don’t want to hear about LeBron James? You want to hear about Cooper Flag? You want to hear about Max Christie, Dwight Pal? You care about the guys here now. Let me know what you think in the comments section down below. We have a conversation about it. But that’s all I got for you guys today. Thank you to the video. Make sure you check out our Twitter and Discord links in the description below. And as always, y’all take care. Drink water. Peace.

  1. Paying what LeBron wants is not worth it to the Mavs, I expect they will find other options at that possible time.

  2. Mavs will be prob over the 2nd apron so no we won't get LeBron it is just rumors for a 42 year old turning next season he would want too much money so no I am good on LeBron to Dallas.

  3. You used the exact same title as the recent Pelicans Digest video. Do y’all just use the same list of video titles ideas?

  4. If Mavs do end up getting cooper I don’t mind LeBron taking some of cooper minutes. If i was cooper it’s def worth it to have LeBron, Ad ,kyrie ,Jason Kidd and klay Thompson as my mentors to establish a strong foundation to ensure my future at worse will be a good one

  5. i know this is completely different from the mavs, but LeBron and Steph teaming up on the warriors to fight the warriors enemies the rockets led by KD trying to prove himself would be more poetic than MJs 98 championship

  6. I have a feeling LeBron and Bronny will end up with Cleveland after they draft Bryce. LeBron will end his career at home with his boys.

  7. Some people get sanctimonious about Lebron signing onto a team next year to "ring chase." Let Lebron ring chase!! This man is one of the best NBA players (if not the best) in the history of the game. Unlike other former NBA All Stars at the tail end of their career, Lebron won't just be buried on the bench due to his inability to keep up with the current game. Lebron will be producing and contributing well with any team. I would enjoy seeing him with the Mavs. With the exception of his hometown in Ohio, Mavs makes the second best sense for LeBron to sign on: already winning a championship with Irving and AD, have played with Christie and Russell, coached under Kidd and Vogel, can be helpful to one of the most celebrated draft pick in years Flaggs, Texas tax break, warm place like Miami, big metropolitan, etc.

  8. Marcel talk more about the young guys on the team like Flagg, Christie, Lively & what they can do this season, especially Christie & Lively, to improve to help the team win more games.

  9. The Lakers have a strong and I mean strong possibly of leap frogging us next year. They can get PJ and sign other FA with 40 million of cap space being available. We gave them Luka will have a chip on his shoulder especially against us. Just something to consider.

  10. As long as he takes a contract that is reasonable with this team, I would absolutely love to have Lebron

  11. People always speaking like they have some type of inside info LBJ salary is already set so how the hell the mavericks going to pay what he wants the Mavericks want him you forgot that part stop looking at everything through your HATE for LBJ last I checked who on Dallas made All NBA last season I’ll wait LBJ did and was 6th in MVP Voting Haters 🤷‍♂️

  12. Cheap or not please no he’s a virus to an organization. And yes, LeBron James has a high basketball IQ but not a high basketball winning IQ. I wanna hear about the players we currently have. I wanna hear about Cooper Flagg. That’s what I wanna hear about.

  13. nice video there. i have video on what nba stars about Coop if someone is interested, it would mean a world to me

  14. If Nico wants LeBron and you disagree, you're just a hater and can't get over the Luka trade. REAL Mavs fans will always agree and support Nico. REAL Mavs fans love and worship Nico.
