Ranking Jalen Duren amongst Starting Center for the 2025/26 NBA Season

Ranking Jalen Duren amongst Starting Center for the 2025/26 NBA Season

stops. Today we are ranking Jaylen Durren in terms of starting centers for the 202526 NBA season. Uh this this should be fun. This has been a series of ranking the Pistons big four. That’s Cade, Ivy, Assar, and Duran ahead of this 2025 NBA season. And this all kind of stemmed from the Ringers top 100 list which only had two of the Pistons big four on the list which was Cade and Duran. And they had Dur like number 97, 96, 97, right? No Ivy, no Assara. And I understand neither of them really had a complete season last year and they haven’t necessarily solidified themselves in this league. But I and many other Pistons fans definitely believe that their potential, their talent, the flashes that they’ve shown probably deserves a lot more respect and notoriety than they have received. So thus is the list that I’ve started to create. Cade Cunningham, we’re going to get to last. We’ve already done Ivy. If you haven’t seen that live, go check it out or the video that I just dropped. Kind of get a short synopsis of it. Or you go check out Assar Thompson conversation. That was a part one, part two. Where does Assar Thompson rank at the beginning of this season and where do we project he’ll be ranked by the end of the season? And then I did a little synopsis video on that as well. Now comes time for Jaylen Duran. This conversation is going to be about ranking starting NBA centers for the NBA and where does Jaylen Duran fall in regards to that ranking. Okay. Now, I’ve said before I think he’s a top 10 center, but I’m going in a little bit deeper, right? You can’t just go off what we think somebody is, what we hope that they are, what we are projecting, but actually going into the 2025, 2026 NBA season, who they have actually solidified themselves to be, shown themselves to be. Okay, so without further ado, we’re going to dive into this ranking. But before we do, uh, smash that like button for me. It’s a little thing, but it’s a big thing for the channel. Hit subscribe and the bell for notifications. The bell allows you to make sure that you get notifications whenever I do my lives. And these are interactive lives. So, it’s an opportunity for you to engage, ask questions, give your thoughts, and I’ll respond to it. I may not get to everybody’s cuz sometimes the chat gets real lit and folks be out there talking their stuff and they talking back and forth and I can’t follow all of it. But if there’s something specifically that you want to ask me, shoot me a super chat and we’ll pause and we’ll talk about whatever topic that you’re bringing up. as long as it’s within the general topic sphere that uh the video is about or that the live is about. All right, hope that’s clear. Let’s dive into it. We’re going to go down the list of NBA teams in alphabetical order A through W. All right, and then from there, we’re going to drop in where we think Jaylen Duran ranks and even we’re going to throw in Isaiah Stewart for good measure, too, because you know what? He’s on the team. Why not? All right. Now, I’m going with guys that I think for sure 100% are starters in the NBA and potential like split time like Derek Lively and Daniel Gaford, Isaiah Stewart and Jaylen Duran, right? Even guys like Evan Mobley and Jared Allen, both of them centers, both uh play alongside of each other in the starting lineup and tend to stagger at center. Carl Anthony Towns and Mitchell Robinson, right? So, there’s quite a few guys and quite a few teams who have dual centers. All right, we’re going to rank them and then we’re going to drop in where we think Jaylen Duran and Isaiah Stewart rank. All right, now let’s start at the top. The Atlanta Hawks. Now, the Atlanta Hawks, they kind of have a dual center situation. They recently signed Chris or I should say they did they trade for Chris Porzingis or did they sign Chris Porzingis? I think they I want to say that they signed him outright. He was a unrestricted free agent I believe. Um and due to his illness inconsistency, the Boston Celtics elected to just let him walk away. All right. Even after winning a championship with him. And I think that was the right move. I think that was 100% the right move because Chris Porzingis is one of those guys that he’s talented. We’ve all known his talent. Uh he’s been known as the unicorn even though I would say Kevin Durant was probably the first unicorn. But then beyond that, probably Wilt Chamberlain was the first unicorn. There’s been quite a few unicorns. Magic Johnson was kind of a unicorn. Kevin Durant for sure is a unicorn. um these guys with a freakish amount of size and skill that we just really don’t see in the NBA. Uh and so we call him a unicorn and he was one of the uh original individuals who held that term. Now, let’s put it this way. He’s had a rough career, injured often, and as a result, teams have been willing to let go of him. From New York, going to Dallas, Dallas to Washington, Washington to Boston, Boston out to Atlanta. When guys are changing teams like this, it kind of tells you a little bit about the player. Not the most reliable, not necessarily worth the investment unless they fit specifically what you’re needing in the moment. Right now for the Atlanta Hawks, they need a starting level center, especially for the playoffs that can provide spacing through three-point shooting and shot blocking and some rebounding. And I think he fits the bill perfectly in Atlanta, playing alongside of Trey Young, he should eat. He should have a bounceback year as long as he’s healthy. Knock on wood, right? Cuz injuries happen. Uh the Atlanta Hawks should be great with Chris Porzingis at the helm, but it doesn’t mean that they don’t have other options. Ona Okongu is like a 68 close to 69 version of Chrisabs Porzingis. He’s smaller, but he does a lot of the same things. Uh, he can defend the rim, he can defend on the interior, he can block shots, he can knock down threes, which was a revelation in the playin tournament that I don’t think teams really saw. Had a great playin tournament last season. Um, he rebounds the ball well enough. He’s just und sized, but he’s a quality really quality player, much like Isaiah Stewart, right? not quite as top shelf in terms of rim protection uh but very skilled nonetheless albeit undersized. So when I rank Chris Porzingis um I’m putting him here right now currently I’ve only made my way about halfway through the league so far but he’s around top 10. He’s definitely somewhere in the top 10 it looks like. uh ona Okongu. I’m going to put him in here and he’s about he’s probably somewhere in the top 20 cuz I would say that he’s I wouldn’t say he’s better than Isaiah Stewart, but I’d say he’s probably better than Derek Lively. So, I’m going to throw him in here on Okongu. And definitely let me know if you agree or disagree in the chat. This is interactive, so let me know what your thoughts are. Where do you have on Yeka Okongu? Do you think he’s a top 20 center? All right, we’re going to keep it pushing. Let’s go to the Boston Celtics. Now, the Boston Celtics are really interesting because their incumbent center is one who hasn’t gotten much playing time in terms of like regular minutes. Namas Keta or Nemias Keta, 26 year old, seven foot center. He’s got like a 76 wingspan. uh not the most agile, mobile, but moves well enough at seven feet tall to stick around in the NBA, which is not easy to do because in this generation of uh centers having to guard on the perimeter, hedge, recover, um uh uh playing drop coverage, playing up at the line, all these different things. They have to do more today than they’ve probably ever been asked to do in the NBA. They’ve never been asked to guard three-point shooters today. They are. And so, we’ll see where he lands. Then, they also have Luca Garza, uh, a fan favorite, guy that everyone roots for, cheers for, um, a known scorer coming out of college. Believe he played for Iowa, uh, and has just been sticking around in the league. Got in phenomenal shape, uh, and continues to stick in the league. Right now, I would put Luca Garza. I’d put him above Ysef Nerkage just because of health. But Nerkish has been a starter. I’ll give Nerkish a little bit more respect than that. Put Luca Garza above Trace Jackson Davis, but something tells me I should give him a little bit more respect than that. Okay, I put him above Quinton Post. Luca Garza. All right, let’s keep it pushing. Brooklyn, they’ve got some interesting centers. Nicholas Claxton is at the top of the helm. Noah Clowney, I don’t know if he’s worth even listing. Right now, we’re still trying to figure out if he’s an NBA player. Um, he’ll get more consistent burn this year. Danny Wolf is right there behind him, but we ne don’t necessarily know if he’s gonna be more of a power forward center. They’re kind of playing around with it. This is another gap year for the Brooklyn Nets as they’re looking to kind of qualitatively tank for AJ Debansa or Cam Boozer or Darren Peterson somewhere in there. They hope to get one of those big three. And there’s a few others. Mel Brown Jr. Um, there’s one other cat. I always forget his name. I got to just put together my official list so I can just grab it off top. All I to say is there’s some extremely talented players in this draft. And I think that Brooklyn is, you know, saying one way to get to the top. If you can’t find the guy, if you can’t sign the guy, see if you can luck out and draft the guy. So, uh, that’s where they’re at. I’m not going to rank Noah Ano Noah Clowny at this point. Keep it pushing. Moving a little bit faster than normal. Chicago. Now, I will have to say Nicole Vousvich deserves more respect than most of y’all be giving him. Shoot threes, he rebounds well, extremely smart player, high IQ, great screen setter, doesn’t do anything to hurt you, and brings a lot offensively, especially when you run some more through him. in the playoffs, it’s probably when he peaks in terms of his effectiveness. As the game gets more physical, it slows down his ability to score around the rim, effectively uh create his own shot in the post and pass out of the post, make him an extremely valuable asset. He ranks a little bit higher for me. He is somebody that I definitely have top 20. I actually have him right behind Chrisaps Porzingis. I actually have him above Jared Allen. It’s kind of a trade-off between offense and defense. Some of y’all might think that that’s absurd. I just think uh in the playoffs, Nicole Vousvich is able to elevate his game in a way that Jared Allen is not. So, I have him ranked above him. The other guy behind him is Zack Collins. He’s he’s a young kind of journeyman uh center who started off I want to say he started off in Portland, got drafted by the Portland Trailblazers, then ended up in San Antonio after the trade. Uh and then he ended up now in Chicago. I think he’s a very serviceable backup big. Um so he’s kind of near my bottom. I’ll put him somewhere down here with Trace Jackson. Uh, Zack Collins, worth mentioning because one day he could potentially be a starting center and if Chicago ever moves off of Buzzovic’s uh contract, he would be the incumbent starter. All right, let’s keep it pushing. Charlotte, Ysef Nerkage, I already have him down here. I’m not No one’s excited about him, but he’s still starting caliber. And Ryan Cochrrener. Ryan Carr Grener I’m high on. Uh I think that he’s gonna have an opportunity to get significant minutes because Ysef Nerkage is never healthy. Um I want to say throughout his career, see how many games he normally plays. He’s been in the league a lot uh for a while now. Okay. At 30 years old, the last few seasons, 61 games. Well, sorry, 51 games. Okay. He combined for 76 for then, but then 52 56 376. Yeah. So, he’s kind of up and down. Then 7279 and then 20 45. He is kind of due for a bounceback year. Potentially he gets into the 70s. Who knows? Uh playing with LaMelo Ball. Maybe he gets, you know, some more lobs and pick and rolls and stuff like that. But I would not count on it. Generally rarely plays above 30 minutes per game. Only did that once in his career. Uh more than likely Ryan Cochrrener is going to get significant minutes. So I have him listed here. It’s kind of a deep dive, but he’s at the bottom of my list. Though I think he will be effective. Let’s keep it pushing. Cleveland, as I mentioned before, got Jared Allen and Evan Mobley. both I refer to as centers who are able to play off of each other similar to David Robinson and Duncan uh um Tim Duncan, right? Tim Duncan is a center, but he’s mobile enough to defend force, right? And they were able to create a dynamic duo in that regard. Um yeah, so I have them ranked both ranked pretty high. Evan Mobley. Currently, I have him as a second best center in the NBA behind Nicole Joic. Let’s keep it pushing. We’ll see where these guys end up at the end. Denver, we have I’m sorry, Dallas, Derek Lively, Daniel Gaffford. Daniel Gaffford I have above Valencion, beneath Jaylen Durren. I think Jaylen Dur is better than him. I just do far more skilled offensively. You can do a lot more. Uh and then I have Derek Lively down here beneath Anaka Okongu, also known as double O to the Atlanta Hawks fans. Uh and above Ysef Nerkage. If there’s any objection, please feel free to let me know in the chat. Otherwise, if you can smash the like button for me, uh I would appreciate that. Let’s keep it pushing. Denver, Nicola Joic and Yonis Valencion. I would have to say convincing Valencianis to come back and play a couple years in Denver, I think, was probably one of the great off offseason moves in Denver and well, I would say in the NBA, but but this is a move that the Denver Nuggets made. Nicole Joic has needed a backup for so long and he finally finds one. finally find someone who is legitimate in terms of their ability to uh play significant minutes effectively within the Denver offense, bringing some uh offensive firepower. He can knock down the occasional three, create his own shot in the post, pass out of the post really well. Um he’s someone who can defend with some level of versatility, but he’s a smart defender. He’s not the most athletic defender, but he’s smart. He’s going to be in the right place at the right time. He’ll challenge at the rim. He’ll keep verticality. He won’t pick up bad fouls and he rebounds at a high level and does a good job on the offensive glass. Having a veteran, especially an international veteran who can play a similar role, not to the same level as Jokic, but a similar role to where there’s not as much of a significant drop off, I think was just a great pickup. And so Denver on their way two solid sorry two a legitimate centers one a superstar and the other one a more than serviceable backup or starter at times when needed. I wouldn’t be shocked if there are uh backto-back games where they sitic and they start Valencionis. Um, and also when I look at the bench, let me see, Don Holmes, he was a rookie that they were excited about last year. And you still have Zeke Naji. So, they’re pretty deep in that front court. I definitely see them figuring out games so they could just sit Yic and let him rest. Let’s go to the Detroit Pistons. Okay, so far this is not where he’s landing by the end, so we’re not necessarily calling out the rank, but I have Jaylen Durren above Daniel Gaffford, beneath Jared Allen. So, right now, he’s currently in the top 10 and Isaiah Stewart. I have him ranked above double O on Okongu and beneath Nicholas Claxton. Okay, let me know if you agree, disagree, want to throw in your two cents. Get at me. Golden State Warriors. These are probably the most unimpressive center rotation. Um, yeah. Of any team in the NBA. Just is what it is. Quinton Post, Trace Jackson Davis. Who starts, who cares? Okay. Both of them trash. All right. Not legitimate starters. Neither of them should be starting for a playoff team, but it is what it is. All right. Got them at the bottom of my list. Let’s move on. Houston Rockets. They’ve got Alrren Shangon, Clint Capella, and they have what’s my man’s name? Big man. He’s not on here. I don’t know. Oh, Stephen Adams. All right. So, here we go. I do need to add him on here. So, we have Alpin Shenong. Definitely better than Jaylen Duran right now. Probably better than Jared Allen right now and Vousvich and likely Porzingis. We’ll put him down here beneath Evan Mobley, Alpernin Shang. Then you have Clint Capella. Clint Capella I would say is definitely better than I would take him over Nerkage and Trace Jackson and Zack Collins. So, let’s put them down here. Clint Capella and uh Stephen Adams, put him above Trace Jackson, beneath Yousef Nerkage because he’s a bit old or long in the tooth as they say. Stephen Adams at the bottom. All right, let’s keep it pushing. Let me know if you agree or disagree. Throw it in the chat now. Otherwise, your boy is moving. Indiana Pacers. This is really interesting. So, they bring in Jay Huff to replace uh Miles Turner. And I agree with the move. I agree. Miles Turner had an atrocious playoff run. They won in spite of him for the most part. Uh and that’s just the reality of it. He struggled mightily. his shot, uh, his efficiency, effectiveness, um, kind of just got ran through most of the playoffs. Uh, and I think that’s a clear sign. Make sure you don’t overpay. And he wanted more. And I think somewhere he got his feelings hurt, decided to go to Milwaukee. Someone who’s in there forgot to charge right before I started. Appreciate you letting me know in the chat, brother. Looking out for me. All right, let’s continue. So Jay Huff, we got him ranked kind of near the bottom. Kind of top 30, I guess, is let’s keep it moving past the Indiana Pacers. Los Angeles Clippers. Now, Los Angeles Clippers definitely have a top 20 center. Um, Ivaga Zubach may sneak into the top 10. Ivaka Zubach I would have better than Vousvich at this current state even better than Porzingis more dependable. Izzy Alfred and Shangon I would say just a little bit beneath. I wish Duran could shoot facts. Facts. You think Big Zoo is top five? Okay. Okay. Well, we going to see at the end of this. Um, Ivaka Zubach. I don’t know if I have him top five. I think there’s some other guys that are going to slide in there. So far, I have Nicole uh Nicole Joic, Evan Mobley, Alfred Shangon, Ivak Zubach at five. I think he falls a bit beneath that by the time we get done with this list. Okay, then let’s see who their backup center is. Is he even worth mentioning? Brook Lopez. Yes, he is worth mentioning. He’s been a highle player for a long time. This dude is 37 years old. Brother is 37 and not even the oldest one on the team at Chris Paul. Dang. Uh, let me see. Let’s go like this. Brook Lopez. Where where should we throw Brook Lopez? I think he’s better than Claxton. Better than Valencianis, I might say. So, better than Gafford? Hm. Even at 37, can’t play as many minutes. I might put Gaffford barely above him. Let’s put Brook Lopez here. All right. Then we have Los Angeles Clippers actually have a really good now tandem of centers. Yeah, it’s really interesting how many really quality veterans go to the Clippers over the Lakers. It speaks more to the organization. Don’t put it on LeBron. Put it on the organization. Uh, they do not make that place look attractive. Uh, the Los Angeles Lakers starting center, DeAndre Aiden. Look, say what you want about Aiden. The boy is skilled as hell. I think he’s better than Shangon. I think he’s better than Zubach. Shoot me. Um, what’s the term? Figure of speech. Don’t do it. I’m a dad. Uh, let me see. DeAndre Aiden, you know, as much as we might malign him, name me a better defensive center who can guard on the perimeter and on the interior. Gets deflections, steals, and blocks. Has proven that he can anchor a team to an NBA finals at the center position. I’ll put it this way. I think in hindsight, Adam, I’ll say this. In hindsight, the issue wasn’t DeAndre Aiden. In hindsight, you know where I’m going with this. The issue was Monty Williams. Let me say that again. The issue in Phoenix was not DeAndre Aton. It was Monty Williams. We saw that because the moment he arrived in Detroit, what did he do? What did he do? Yeah. So, you can imagine what DeAndre Aton was dealing with for his first, what was it, four or five years of his career. That’s what he was dealing with. No wonder why he stopped caring. It was just like whatever. This dude is tripping. What DeAndre Aiden has the skill to do, there is only a handful of other centers who have that much skill. Joic, Mobley, maybe a healthy Joel Embiid. That’s about it. Even Even Embiid struggles on the perimeter. I’ve seen DeAndre Aton switch out on Stephen Curry and contain contain. Yeah, I think I think his his impact is likely due to the context of his situation. All right. when the situation was good playing with Chris Paul, Devin Booker, uh Muel Bridges, Cam Johnson, great situation despite Monty Williams and the owner at the time. NBA Finals look great. Too much Monty Williams, the loss of Chris Paul and his leadership, things go south. I’m putting DeAndre Aiden and I think he’s going to prove me right this year. If you do fantasy, I would recommend draft him because he’s going to get a whole lot of lobs and dump offs from Luca and LeBron. All those double teams that that they draw, add in Austin Reeves, now you got Marcus Smart. DeAndre Aiden is going to eat. He’s going to absolutely eat. So, expect that. Uh, let me see. Anyone else? Jackson Hayes. Not really worth mentioning. Um, so it is what it is. All right, let’s move on. Wrap this up. Brothers got things to do today. Memphis. Memphis Grizzlies. I really like Zack Edy. I think he has a breakout year. I’m gonna put him down here. Uh, let’s go. Zack Edy, I’m gonna put him beneath Brook Lopez above Yonis Valencion. Ironically, both Valencion and Edy played for the Grizzlies. All right. And their backup center. Not worth mentioning. Yeah, not worth mentioning. Joel Londale, I like him, but you know, unspectacular. Uh, beast in international play though. Miami Heat. All right. Kell wear starting for the Miami Heat. 21 years old. Uh, I like him a lot, but where would we rank him? I would have to put Kel Wear. I would say right beneath Derek Lively. I don’t think he ends up there by the end of the season. I think he ends up far higher. And should we still do Bamabio as a center? I know he splits the minutes. He’s been a center most of his career, but he’s going to start off at power forward. Bam Adabio is starting at power forward. And generally I’m a little reluctant to list guys as a center who start at power forward. But considering that Babau has been listed at center for the majority of his career and definitely staggers minutes at center and they haven’t brought in another center to kind of say like hey this is a permanent move to power forward. I think we should go with let’s list them. So, bam bio. Uh, I’ll take him above beneath Mobly. Bam. Out of bio. All right, let’s keep it pushing. Milwaukee Bucks. Uh, let me see. All right, so the affformentioned Miles Turner made his move. Let’s list him up here. Is he better than Zubach? I would say no. I think man, it’s hard. I’m somewhere between beneath Jaylen Duran dinging him for his playoff performances and as high as up here next to Porzingis. What do y’all think? Maybe put him somewhere in the middle. Okay, let’s go like this. We’re going to put him somewhere in the middle. Miles Turner. I have him above Duran for the time being, but I still have him a little bit lower. I think he ends up lower this season even more because I think other players are going to just pass him up. Such as Kell Wear, such as Jaylen Duran. Duran gained a few spots to me because he was a playoff riser. Exactly. Turner disappeared for the whole games. I’ve been saying that the whole time. It tells me a lot about a player by how they show up when it matters the most, which is the playoffs. Now, regular season miles was better facts, but who would you rather have? The guy you know is going to shrink in the playoffs or you know, or the guy you know is going to raise in the playoffs. Yeah, the shooting’s great. Shooting’s great, but I’ll take Jaylen Duran’s rebounding over that three-point shooting. I’ll tell you that much. Let’s keep it pushing. Minnesota Timberwolves. Yeah, I do think the 15-footer is coming for Jaylen Durren. I completely see that. Little catch it right above the free throw line. Uh fake the dribble handoffs, turn, face his man who’s laying off of him beneath the free throw line, shoots right over the top. Allah Alonzo morning. I totally see that. Smash the like button for me though. I appreciate it. Uh, let me see. Rudy Gobear, you got to give him some respect. Multiple time defensive player of the year. I would put him beneath Bam Adabio above DeAndre Aton. All right. And I’m just going to put this guy out here. He’s going to surprise a lot of people. uh Yan Bering Gay, their draft pick. I’ll put him at the bottom, but I’m also putting them here because I want to say that I told y’all about him first. His measurements ended up looking great. Uh in terms of uh height without shoes, I think he’s like 6’11 without shoes, 75, 76 wingspan. Um really good timing in terms of shot blocking, uh verticality, being in the right place at the right time with his rotation, um and his timing in terms of pick and rolls, duck ends, uh setting his feet. You can tell he has a lot of fundamentals down and the more he grows into his body, the stronger he’s going to come on in the NBA. also being French playing behind Rudy Gobear who’s a French center legend. I think he’s going to learn a lot and that’s going to accelerate his development. I expect Yan Bearing uh by the end of the season to be a part of this regular rotation and Nas Reed becomes a little bit more cemented at power forward coming off the bench. But I’ll say this, Nas Reed still needs to get listed because he plays a lot of center for the Minnesota Timberwolves. Where would I put Nas Reed? Put him right here beneath Isaiah Stewart above Anaka Congo. He got the bag. All right, let’s keep it moving. New Orleans Pelicans. Eves Mei. Where do we rank him? Did start for a full season? I think I would put him somewhere Derek Lively Kelware. Let’s go. Eaves me. The backup center. Yes, definitely below Dur. Um backup center is going to be none other than Kavon Looney. Not necessarily worth mentioning too much. Uh, yeah. Who cares? Um, I suppose I would take him right beneath Jay Huff. So, let’s go. Kvon Looney doing too many deep dives on here. Okay. And let’s keep it pushing. Uh, New York Knicks, Mitchell Robinson, Carl Anthony Towns. Carl Anthony Towns. Bring him up here to the top. I would not take him. above Gobear, Bam, Evan Mobley, Nicole Joic. I suppose I would take him over DeAndre Aton considering their inconsistencies. Let’s go. Carl Anthony Towns. All right. And Mitchell Robinson. I’d put Mitch. Mitchell Robinson. I would say above Derek Lively, beneath Aneka Congru, Mitchell Robinson. All right, Oklahoma City. Now, here’s another situation where you got two centers. All right, I take zoo over towns all day. I I I hear that. I hear that. Uh, but just overall impact. He’s been an all-star. He’s been all NBA. You have to give him some props for his accolades alone. So, I think that that brings hesitancy pause to um putting him beneath Zubach. Got to respect the resume to some degree. Even though I’m probably one of the big biggest critics of Carl Anthony Towns, lack of defense, basketball IQ, leadership. Um, yeah, dedicated, you know, lack of dedication to the defensive side of the ball. Uh, at some point he’s got to figure it out. If New York wants to win, which is kind of why I said, uh, you’re going to regret that move, but it is what it is. Um, if he was a four, I would rate him higher. Nah, I don’t like guys who don’t play defense. Yeah, facts. You have to play defense. Um, let’s go with So, we have Isaiah Hartinstein and Cadet Homegrren, who recently gets the bag. Uh, and Thomas Sorber, someone I think we should also keep an eye out for. But third string center, probably going to start off in the G. Um, let me see. Isaiah Hardenstein, Chad Homegrren, Chad Homegrren, I would take over Carl Anthony Towns. I just would. Not yet above Rudy Goar. Doesn’t have the body of work, but I’ll take Cet over towns. Yeah, they’re paying Chad for for what they hope. And he brought you a championship. Uh Isaiah Hardenstein, where would we rank him above Duran? Pretty close. Very Jared Allenesque considering he has a championship. Then you got to rate him pretty high and he’s a starter for a championship team. I think he barely gets above Duran. Just a larger body of work and he’s a champion. So I got to go Isaiah Hartenstein. And this is the ranking for the beginning of the season. tomorrow when we do the ranking for the end of the season where we think Duran is gonna land. I think we’re gonna see he’s he’s gonna be a whole lot higher. Um yeah, I’m not mad at that either. Orlando. So when Del Carter Jr. is the consmate. If he only could stay healthy, if he was spitting out 65 to 70 game seasons since his rookie year, he would have been an all-star by now. Incredibly skilled, plays both ends. He’s like a bigger Isaiah Stewart who can legitimately start for you. Um, yeah, he can shoot the three ball, rebounds really well, defends the rim. uh really skilled, talented player, a lot of confidence, uh just doesn’t stay healthy. So, Wendell Carter Jr. I think right now he’s better than Duran and Hardenstein, not better than Jared Allen in terms of just being able to prove himself. He is pretty inconsistent, but he’s been consistently a starter. So is Hartenstein. Um, yeah, I’ll put him here. It’s kind of like a grouping. Wendell Carter Jr. Now, I know a lot of y’all like Mo Vagner. We all like Mo Vagner, I guess. Uh, but he has not been a starter for a reason. So, let’s kind of pump our brakes a little bit. Um, I’ll take him over Derek Lively, but not over Mitchell Robinson. could be debatable. All right. And then uh as you all like Goa Betaz, I’ll put him beneath. He’s got to do more than just show me flashes as a third string center. All right. Pass Orlando Magic. Philly Joel Embiid. You gotta give him respect even though he’s always hurt. Let’s put him. I’ll put him beneath Chad Homegrren. Some of y’all may be furious about this. I think it just is what it is. Byproduct of your situation. Andre Drummond. little bit lower here on this list. Probably throwing down here with with with Goa. Um, Andre Drummond still serviceable but lacking. All right. Philadelphia, Phoenix, who cares? Uh Mark Williams, Nick Richards, common malaw watch. Mark Williams has not been able to stay healthy. Neither has Betaz putting down here beneath Kell well Khal Wear. Mark Williams common mile watch. I don’t think he’s worth ranking because I don’t think he’s gonna get that much playing time. Uh, and Nick Richards, really serviceable big man. I would put him down here above Drummond beneath Betazit. Then we have Portland, Portland Trailblazers. Yeah, he does eat when he actually plays. Big- time shot blocker and rebounder and really efficient. That’s Mark Williams. Um, let me see. For the Portland Trailblazers, where do you rank Donovan Klingan and definitely Young Hunen? And they got Robert Williams, but he’s always hurt, too. So, let’s start with Donovan Klingan. Where do we got him? I say right about here. I’ll take him beneath. Uh, all right. What about Young Hansen? He’s a rookie, but man, the the dude is good. Dude is good. I think I got him ranked here. I would take him. Let’s say right beneath Nick Richards. Williams is for size. Yeah. Oh, wait. You said um Oh, Nick Richards. Yeah. Yeah. I think it’s just his it’s his timing. It’s his timing. Uh, and Robert Williams never healthy, the epitome of it. Um, but when he is looks great. Uh, I’d say I take him down here. Right around the cling. Williams. Let’s go. Robert Williams. Let’s see. Go. All right. I don’t think some of these even matter. Um, has to be his timing. Enormous and athletic. Yeah, it is his timing. It is his timing. Uh, all right. and let’s keep it pushing. Spent too much time on Portland. Sacramento Kings Damonte Sabonis definitely deserves all of our respect. Uh my man has balled out for a long time. Um as rough as things go for Rudy Gobear sometimes on offense, it goes just as rough for Damonte Sabonis on defense. I would have to put him here. I would definitely take him over Carl Anthony Towns. I don’t think I take them over Embiid. So, I’m putting them right here. Sabonis get to these chats real quick. Okay. Indeed. Timing. Yep. Yep. Okay. Make sure we all on the same page there. Backup center. Is he worth mentioning? Maximo. Yes. Look. Hey, if you have not heard about Maxim Reno yet, I’ve been talking about him throughout the draft process. I think a really good, really talented center. You know who he reminds me of is a young Nicole Vousvich coming out of USC. Maxim Rol coming out of uh Stanford University here in California, Northern California. um played all four years, could play defense, offense, he’s just a guy who’s played at such a high level. I think he comes in and is a factor from day one. I think he I would pencil him in as their backup center. I know that they still got guys that they could resign. Um where is he at? Uh they haven’t necessarily resigned. H what’s a dude from Kentucky Canadian brother um 610 kind of beneath the rim athlete serviceable I forget his name but they haven’t resigned him he’s unrestricted if they brought him back he would probably be their backup center but I think Maxim Reno uh shows enough physicality shot blocking ability to rebound the ball and score effectively from outside and inside and he has those leadership intangibles toughness uh I think he’s I think he’s the backup center from day one. And if I’m Sacramento, I’m betting on him. Especially with the with the salary cap situation. There’s no reason to bring in anyone else after drafting him. Maximo where I would rank him. I’mma go right beneath Killow above Donovan Klingan. I just like him more than Klingan. I’m not too high on Klingan. Um, Maxim Reno. All right, that’s for the Sacramento Kings. Let’s keep it pushing. We’re moving through this a whole lot faster than we normally do. Um, San Antonio Spurs, of course, Mr. Victor Winyama, man. Maybe top three by the end of this season, but for now, it’s only based upon what you have done. and he had to end the season on the injured reserve with the blood clots. But still, his impact is undeniable. I don’t think there’s anyone in here uh who would still have Embiid ranked above him considering his injury situation, inconsistencies, Damonte Sabonis, Kathy Towns, all those guys have their own kind of problematic asterisks. I think I’m ranking him beneath Chad Hongren, the recent champion uh and Max Extension uh player Victor Whim Bangyama. Not in terms of potential, but his actual play on the court. Where would you have him right now? I have Victor Winyama. One, two, three, four, five. Number six. Number six on the list in terms of top centers. So, my early suggestion of Jaylen Duran being top 10 was mostly for what I was projecting. Maybe I’m giving away some Easter eggs for tomorrow’s discussion, but for today, let’s leave it at this. Victor Winam is at six. All right. Duran is not in the top 10. Their backup center is Luke Cornet. I suppose I suppose I suppose Luke Cornet. Let’s just drop him down here. Way down here. Way down here. I’ll take them right around here. Uh, I’ll take him above Mark Williams. There you go. Luke Cornet, valuable piece to the Boston Celtics playoff teams. All right, let’s keep it pushing. Toronto Raptors, Yako Porto. You got to put respect to my man Yakoto’s name. Look, I’m gonna be honest with you. Yakoto is one of those guys. He’s always been productive no matter where he’s been. Um, San Antonio, Toronto, extremely productive. At times, he’s looked like one of those fringe allstar, you know, if he can put it all together and his team could have some success, he would definitely have to be on our map in terms of that all-star level player. I think he’s a Jared Allen type player. I think he’s right there with Jared Allen. I would have to say Yak Portal right now is better than Jaylen Durren. So, let’s slide up here closer to the top. Better than Hartinstein and Wendell. Put him right beneath Mr. Allen. Just hasn’t had the playoff success. Uh, let me see. Jacko. One of those names that’s really hard to remember to spell. You just have to remember it’s spelled not how it’s going to sound. Um, Porto Pel Portal. Okay. Yako Porto. All right. Their backup center. They don’t have one cuz they decided to go with Colin Murray Boils over common Malawatch. I get it. He was supposed to be a Messiah Jerry development guy. I keep saying Messiah Jerry is going to be the next uh team president for the Los Angeles Lakers. He is ingenious in what he’s able to do. one of the best front office execs out there. Championship proven. Um, does an amazing job of bringing in young talent, unseen talent, constructing a championship team, being able to get top-notch guys. Getting Kawhi Leonard in Toronto and literally having him get to the wire and choosing the Clippers over the Raptors says something. Says something. the organization that he stabilized in Toronto led them to their first NBA championship ever and has consistently kept their stables stacked with talent. That is what a great front office exec does. Whether the coach can put it together, whether the team can stay healthy, those things are out of his control. But building a championship worthy team and having a team stacked with talent, drafting well, picking the right guys who you know are going to work hard and develop, he just does that A’s A’s across the board. Um, Ori Chi, uh, you know, I’m not going to say he’s worth talking about yet. Coming out of NBA Africa, very athletic, very mobile, um, decent timing, but still has much to learn about the NBA. Remember, this is the top league in the world. The world. Oris Chamchi could go play internationally in Australia right now and beast out and be an all-star. In the NBA, it’s different, bro. It’s different. It’s a lot harder to crack the rotation. Uh, let’s keep going. Utah Jazz. I think he can crack the rotation though, but it’s it’s especially because there’s not really another backup center, but who knows? All right. Uh let’s go. What? Uh the Utah Jazz, man. They got to get rid of Danny H. What what a horrible front office job. It’s an ugly, terrible tank with Lori Markin in his best years of his prime paying him close to $50,000 a year. I mean, sorry, $50 million. I know 50 damn thousand. She um but then you also got uh the center Walker Kesler. You know, if I don’t Kessler, I don’t want to be there anymore. Danny A is just spinning his wheels, letting this team lose on purpose. Um they got a good coach, good system, but he’s just so dedicated to losing. Um it’s just it’s just a damn shame. Uh, but Walker Kesler, I think I would have him beneath Duran around Daniel Gaffford. I’mma put him beneath Duran, above Gaffford, though. Actually, he might need to be lower than that. Put him down here beneath Zack Edy because he can’t seem to stay in the starting center position. Uh, losing it to John Collins who’s also with the Clippers. They’ve had quietly one of the best offseasons. We may have to rank these teams off seasonasons coming soon. Um, Walker Kesler. All right. And let’s keep it pushing. No, I’m not ranking Kyle Filipowski. I do not care about him. Um, just don’t see him as an NBA player. Uh, let me see. All right. Washington Wizards finally here at the end. Alex Sar. Gotta put some respect on his name. Started every game as a rookie. Uh, I think he only continues to get better. Right now, I would put Alex Sar above Walker Kesler right around here with Zack Edy. All right, Alex Sar. Okay, so we have our list. We have our list, ladies and gentlemen. I’m super high on SAR, too. I am seeing him play with uh the French national team right now uh during these scrimmages. He looks good. He looks like he’s just physically filling out more um confident in his game. I think he could be a little bit better than Jiren Jackson in terms of being a rebounder, but definitely the defensive potential is there. kind of reminds me of Nerland’s Noel a little bit, but uh I think he develops that shot even more. So, um imagine a better rebounding Jiren Jackson who doesn’t foul as much. Really valuable. Uh so, like I said, a lot of these guys are going to be rising by the end of the season, but we’re starting off with the beginning of the season. So, at the top, we have Nicole Joic, number one, of course. Number two, Evan Mobley. Three, Bam Adabio. Four, Rudy Gobear. Five, Cadet Homegrren. Six, Victor Winyama. Six, sorry, seven, Joel Embiid. Eight, Deont Sabonis. Nine, Carl Anthony Towns. 10, DeAndre Aton. Jaylen Durren did not make the top 10. Uh, then we have Alan Shangon at 11, Ivaka Zubach at 12, Porzingis at 13, Nola Vousvich at 14, Miles Turner at 15, Jared Allen at 16, Dak Poto at 17, Window Carter Jr. 18. Isaiah Harden at 19. Jaylen Durren at number 20. All right. So, we’ve got Jaden Ivy at 21. No, no, at 15. Assara Thompson at 21. Jaylen Durren at 20. Okay. All right. So, that’s our list. Jaylen Durren is a top 20 NBA center going into this season. Now, here’s what I need you to do, okay? After I post this video, I want you to put up there 2020 2020. All right? You can either put 2020 or you can put a pair of glasses for 2020 vision. All right? and then put what your ranking is of top centers and where you think Jaylen Duran is and also where do you think he ends up next season. All right, this is the big one. Just just balling. Uh put out a top 25 point guards for 25 a few hours ago. Kad’s fourth in my opinion at the end of the year. He’s third. Okay, I’ll check him out. Just balling. Let me see. Am I even following him? I probably should be just balling. No, I’m not following him, but uh I’ll check them out. All right. So, all right. We’ve got our ranking. All right. He has three channels. Oh, gee. Wow. That’s a lot of channels. All right. Jaylen Durren is 20. Beneath Isaiah Hardenstein, Window Carter Jr., Dakapoto, Jared Allen, Miles Turner, Noolus, Porzingis, Zubat, Shangon, Aton, Town, Sabonis, Embiid, Wimyama, Homegrren, Goar, Adabio, Mobly, and Yic.
