He was cleared in July for full activities including weight training in his limited action. I mean again this kid is absolutely generational. 24 uh.3 points per game, 11 rebounds, 3.8 blocks which led the league with a 3.2% block rate and 48% on mid-range jumpers. Without him, the Spurs defense allowed 12 more points per 100 possessions. So it goes to show how pivotal he is on both ends of the floor. But again, I I I wrote that a full recovery with his injury uh does position him as a top five MVP candidate, especially with Luke Cornett now who can reduce his minutes. Uh also preserving his health. I think that Luke Cornet, and we discussed this prior, we were when we were texting each other and talking before the show, a really underrated pickup actually. Yeah, especially, you know, on a good contract, uh, on a tradeable contract if I want to be honest because, you know, there’s always the possibility it doesn’t work out and that’s completely okay. You know, you trade him, you get the value that you can get for him, we move on from there. We set ourselves up, you know, in in a really, really nice spot. So, even if somehow we didn’t make the playoffs, which I think it’s highly unlikely that we we don’t, 2027, 2028, 2029, they’re they’re going to be years. I think we contend 100%. I think so, too.

Victor Wembanyama’s elite shot-blocking and mobility paired with Luke Kornet’s size and screen-setting gives the Spurs a lowkey smart frontcourt. Not flashy — just effective. 🧱🛡️
