Biggest Orlando Magic Matchups Revealed for 2025-26!

Hello, hello, hello. The 202526 Orlando Magic schedule has been released. We’ll go over it and find the important matchups as well as the showcase games for this upcoming season. That’s right, we’re talking schedule. This is the Orlando Magic Nation, your source for all things Orlando Magic on YouTube for Magic fans by Magic fan. I just want to thank you very much for clicking on this video and spending a little bit of time talking Magic with me. While you’re here, click subscribe so you don’t miss out on any content that I produce, as well as becoming a part of the Orlando Magic Nation. While you’re clicking around as well, smash that like button. It really helps the channel grow by getting in front of more eyes. Lastly, this doesn’t have to be a one-way street. So, in the bottom in the comments, let me know which game you’re excited for or which stretch of the season you’re thinking that it’s going to be a bit more difficult or might be part of the easiest. Let’s get started. showcase games that we’ve talked about many times in other videos. We’ve been wondering how many nationally televised games we’re going to have. I’m not really calling them nationally televised games because a lot of them are going to be on streaming. So, for me, when we talk about important games, we’re going to talk about showcase games. So, we ended up with 14 showcase games, which is a lot more than I expected. I was expecting nine or so. So, if we go through them, the first one is going to be November 4th at Atlanta on NBC. When it says NBC, it’s going to be on NBC and also stream on Peacock. However, it’s going to be on the NBC network. So, that’s great. The second one going to be away against New York on ESPN on November 12th, November 25th. We’re going to be away at Philadelphia on NBC. Then our f our first home tele nationally televised or showcase game is going to be against Chicago on December 1st and that one’s going to be on Peacock. So Peacock is going to have Mondays that are going to be exclusive games just to Peacock that won’t be on NBC. The next game will be the European Games. So on Thursday, January 15th, we’re going to be at well, we’re going to have a home game. It’ll be one of our home games, but it’ll be in Berlin. That’ll be on Amazon Prime. And then our second European game on Sunday, January 18th, 2026, also against Memphis in London, will also be on Amazon Prime. Then the next game will be at Cleveland on Peacock on January 26. January 9th will be home against Milwaukee on Peacock. February 26th, home against Houston on Amazon Prime. March 7th away, we’re going to be at Minnesota also on Amazon Prime. Then we’re gonna have a home game at against Cleveland, excuse me, at on ESPN March 11th. March 16th, we’re going to be at Atlanta on Peacock. And we’re going to be at Cleveland on March 24th on NBC. And our last showcase game of the season will be April 1st, 2026, a home game against Atlanta on ESPN. So, this tells a story. As I mentioned before, everything is about a narrative. So, the NBA, well, not NBA, but maybe the partners are the ones that are trying to tell a story or again trying to showcase this matchups they believe are going to be important for the season. So, if you if you’re looking just quickly at these games, we have Atlanta on there three times. So, three of our four games against Atlanta are going to be on showcase games. What is that saying? that seems to think that they also are going to be a contender for the top four seeds in the east. So those divi and we’re also division rivals of course. So it seems that they think that those are going to be very meaningful games. Other games that you look at, we have one against New York, we have one against Chicago, and then we have our Memphis games. That’s that. But our Cleveland games as well. So Atlanta and Cleveland, it looks like those are the ones that the NBA are is really focusing on or the the television partners they’re really focusing on. So of our four games at against Cleveland, also three of them are going to be showcased and being uh not only on the FanDuel network. So that’s that’s exciting because at least then that hopefully shows or that hopefully means that we’re going to be in the top two running for the seating on the in the East. So then those games hopefully will be important and hopefully Cleveland isn’t at a seven 67 win pace or any of the stuff that they were before. Uh so that it those can be important as opposed to just being okay for seeding for us in the in the second seed. And then the other ones really they’re just kind of a hodge podge. Minnesota, Milwaukee, Houston. So that’s that. So again, to wrap up the showcase games, it looks like the NBA or the partners seem to think that Atlanta and Cleveland are going to be the ones that are going to be the important matchups for Orlando and not Detroit. I’m surprised we didn’t get any Detroit games on Showcase. So, I don’t know what that means. Maybe they don’t think Detroit is going to be that good. Maybe they think that Orlando maybe is not going to be that good or that the matchup just isn’t going to be so good. and maybe they don’t want the rock fight between two teams that in historically have been mostly defensive teams. Obviously the Magic’s offense is going to be better. So hopefully that’s not the case. So So in the end, 14 showcase games. I think that would we’ll take that every day. So the rivals I I classified the rivals as the the teams that are going to be basically in the top four or at least in the running for the top four in the in the Eastern Conference. So, I’ve put Atlanta, Detroit, New York, Cleveland. I think that’s it. So, yeah. So, those are the those are the four other teams that I included as the rivals for for us for this year. Obviously, we have division rivals and, you know, historic rivals and all that other stuff. But th these are the ones that we should be focusing on. We should really be circling on our calendars because these are the games that are going to be mattered most for our seating. So, the first one is October 24th at Atlanta. October 29th, um, sorry, sorry, the October 24th game is at home versus Atlanta. October 29th, away versus Detroit. Uh, November 4th, away at Atlanta. That one’s one of our showcase games. Then November 12th away at New York. That’s also a showcase game. That one’s at on ESPN. Then November 22nd at home versus New York. November 28th, away at Detroit. December 7th at New York. January 24th, home against Cleveland. January 26th, away at Cleveland, showcase game. March 1st at home versus Detroit. March 11th at home versus Cleveland showcase game. March 16th at Atlanta showcase game. March 24th away at Cleveland showcase game. Uh April 1st at home versus Atlanta versus Atlanta showcase game. And then April 6th at home versus Detroit. So the Detroit game on November 28th is going to be the last of our NBA Cup slate. So that one is going to be an important one for for us against Detroit because of course it’s part of the NBA Cup. We want to be showcased in the quarterfinals and hopefully in the semi-finals and finals of the NBA Cup again. We want those eyes. So that that November 28th one against Detroit is a big one. And also the April 6th one versus Detroit also could be a very big one because we might be fighting for seating at that point. So all these games I think are ones that we really should be focusing on. We should be circling on our calendars because those are the ones that we want to make sure that uh we have at least a good showing. But again, we want to win all these games as many as possible. So that’ll help our seating and I’ll help our our stance within the Eastern Conference. back tobacks. That’s another thing that most people look at. Obviously, when we’re looking at the schedule, we don’t have we have 14 backtobacks this year. We have a a majority of them are actually going to be um home and homes. So, if we look at that real quick, oh, actually the majority is the ways. So, we have 14 backtobacks. Five of them are home backto-backs where both games are at home. Six of them are both on the road. And then we have one that’s we start off at home and the second night of the backtoback is away and we have two that are the first night or the first game is is away and the second game is back in Orlando. So we have a total of 14 backtobacks. So if we look at them quickly um the first backtoback we have is really early on actually it’s it’s within the first week of the season we play at home versus Atlanta. Then the next day we play against Chicago. Then on the 29th of October, we’re away at Detroit. And then we’re away at Charlotte on October 30th. November 9th, we have uh we’re at home versus Boston. November 10th, away or sorry, home versus Portland. Now, we we can’t just go, “Oh, Portland. We actually played Portland twice on the second night of a back-to-back.” So, Portland beat us both times last year, right? Like, we didn’t play well against some of these other teams, so we can’t just overlook them. Obviously, we’re going to be a better team this year. I always say obviously if all things go well, we’re going to be a better team this year. So, we should be winning these games. But, of course, second out of a backto-back, we’re going to be a bit tired. And I don’t know what their travel is and where they’re coming from. I always feel that West Coast teams whenever they play or Orlando on a on a backto-back, they’re playing in Miami and then they play in Orlando or they start in Orlando and play in Miami. So anyh who, just wanted to point out that about Portland. Then the next backto-back is is both away at New York, then at Boston on November 22nd and 23rd. December 22nd, December 23rd, we’re away at Golden State and again away at Portland. So that’s the second time of a back-to-back against Portland. December 26th and 7th, we’re home versus Charlotte and Denver. We have Denver in the second night of a back-to-back. So that’s going to be that’s going to be a big one. Hopefully we take care of Charlotte early enough that all our guys are able to rest for the second half or at least the fourth quarter of that game so that they’ll be fresh for that next game against Denver. Then January 6th and 7th, we’re away at Washington and Brooklyn. Those are the first seven. That all happens pre-allar game. Then post all-star game, we really have a packed schedule. So February 21st and 2nd, we’re away at Phoenix and the LA Clippers. And March 7th and 8th we’re away at Minnesota and Milwaukee. March 11th and 12th we’re back home for Cleveland and Washington. The first the first game Cleveland will be on ESPN. Then March 16th and 17th we start away and we come back home. So the first game is Atlanta. So that’s a very important game for us. And then the second night is all the way in Oklahoma City. So that one’s going to be a tough backtoback. I’d say one because we’re gonna likely need to really hone in and play well against Atlanta and then we always want to show up against the champs. Then March 22nd and 24th we have a home and away on that one. So we start off at home against Indiana and then the second game of the backtoback is away at Cleveland which is one of our showcase games on NBC. Then March 31st and April 1st we’re at home first versus Phoenix, second one versus Atlanta. That second game of the back-to-back is another showcase game and again at Atlanta or against Atlanta who could be one of our rivals for seating in the East this year. And our final one is April 5th and April 6th. The first one is the first game is at New Orleans and then the second game is at home against Detroit. So again, we played Detroit. That second one might be for seating because it’s the week before the end of the season. So that one might be a tough one. Hopefully, again, hopefully New Orleans isn’t having the greatest of years and they’re not going to put in so much of an effort so that we’re able to rest our guys a little bit and then have some rest before Detroit. We’re still going to have the the one hour time difference as well as the the travel. So, that one might be a tough game for us as well. So, in the second half of the season, as you see, some of our backtobacks are not going to be the easiest and that’s when we have the most of our showcase games. So, we’re going to be we’re we’re going to be tested, which is which is great because that’s what we want. This is this is a time where we’re not looking for easy things. We want to make things tough because it’s going to help us in the playoffs. Obviously, we have more rest in the playoffs. you’re not having any back to backs, but still that mindset of having to put in the work, having to push through pain, having to push through everything, especially for these guys who haven’t played past the first round, trying to go to the conference finals, they’re going to be super tired, so they’re going to need to be able to play through fatigue. So hopefully that’s what this these uh these backto-backs are able to to push upon them. So if we just look quickly just in general about the uh the home and away splits just generally speaking obviously as as we know we have two neutral sight games that in in Europe so one in uh Berlin and one in London so that’s going to be in January as as we see the 15th and 18th we’ve talked about it a bunch so if we look at it we have six games in October three home three away 14 games in November half and half split again seven home seven away then on in December. That’s going to be the end of the NBA Cup. So, that one right now only has 12 games, but we know there’s going to be two games added after people are eliminated from the NBA Cup. Then on January, we have 13 games. We have six home, five away in the two neutral games in Europe. In February, we have 11 games, five home, six away. In March, we have 17 games. So, it’s a good little sprint there to the end of the season. Uh, we have 10 at home and seven away. And then we end in April with three at home and four away. For a total of right now, we have 80 games that we know the who we’re going to be playing exactly and where. So, we have 39 home games, 39 away games, and the two neutral games. So, the most we’re most home games we’re likely going to have is going to be 40 for this season. So, for all the people out there in Orlando, get your tickets. We have we have one less game this year and then if we do it in quarters because I know uh Mosley likes to talk about seven game brackets of the entire season but we’re we’re just going to talk about it in quarters. So as we see 21 games in the first quarter again everything is split. So our our schedule is pretty it’s pretty nice. It’s pretty straightforward all the way through. So we have 11 games out of the 20 the first 21 games. 11 are at home. out of the next 18 after that again there’s two games that we don’t know about because of the NBA cup eight are at home then the the fi the third quarter of the season 21 games we have 11 at home again and in the final quarter out of the 20 games 10 are at home so we actually have a pretty balanced schedule for the Magic there really isn’t anything crazy like a seven eight nine game well nine that would be like a long rodeo trip or something but a seven game road trip or a a six game road trip we I don’t have that. So, if we were to just kind of peek looking at the schedule here, we can see that the the longest of our road trips is seven g, excuse me, is five games and that’s going to be really early on in the season. So, our first three games are at home against Miami, Atlanta, and Chicago. Then we have five games on the road at Philadelphia, at Detroit, at Charlotte, at Washington, at Atlanta. So, it’s a lot of division games. So, that’s that’s good. Or at least a chunk of division games there. We will have played five division games in our first eight games. At Charlotte, we don’t know if they’re going to be any better. At Washington, we don’t know if they’re going to be any better. So, let’s let’s hope they are not better, at least for our sake. And those can be pretty easy games so that we can finish that that road trip at least 4 and one. Uh five and one. We’ll see what Philadelphia has in terms of health. Paul George and Joel Embiid, as I mentioned in the video yesterday, had procedures this off seasonason. So, we don’t know when they’re going to be healthy, if they’re going to be healthy for training camp or the preseason or for an early season game as that one on J on October 27th. So, we’ll see. Then after that, it’s pretty split. Like I mentioned, Boston, Boston, we have we have a few backtobacks or we have a few Yeah. home and homes, but they’re they’re not home and homes necessarily. We have double headers. Let’s just call them two double headers. We play Boston two times in a row. We play Milwaukee twice in a row in February. And we play Cleveland twice in a row in in January. So those are our kind of our double headers, let’s say. And then again, look, you could see three three at home, one away. One at home, one away. Three at home, three away. So our our schedule is actually rather balanced. Uh we don’t have too many. We have a the West Coast road trip. Our first our first trip to the West Coast is not until mid December where we play Denver, Utah. We lost both the Utah last year, so we can’t take that one necessarily for granted. Then we have the backto-back that I mentioned at Golden State and at Portland. Then we’re back home for two. Then we have a quick little Midwest trip, Toronto, Indiana, and Chicago. Back home for Indiana. Back on the road for a couple. Then we have two games. So we have a four game home stand that’s split two games, two games and in the middle is Europe. So we play at home at Philadelphia, at home at versus New Orleans. Then we take the trip to Europe. So looking at the schedule, I suspect that the team will travel on January 12th so that they’re in Europe for the 13th and 14th so that they get there on the 12th, then the 13th, the 14th, so they can play their game in Berlin on the 15th. Having done that trip multiple times to Europe, the the jet lag gets you, for me, it gets me on the really on the the first or second day. So by day three, hopefully they’re able to get their their normal naps in and their normal rest in so that they’re able to play well in that game. Then the next game will be in London like we mentioned many of times and then after their after that we go back home. So after the game in London they’ll like I’m don’t know when they’ll travel. They might travel just at night on the 18th to get back late on the 18th if not the n early morning on the 19th so that they have the 20th 21st ready at home so they play Charlotte on the 22nd then we play a couple at home then again a couple away one at home couple away then we have a fourame home stand there a true true fourame home stand at the end of the first half right before the all-star break then hopefully we have a couple all-stars hopefully Fron and Paulo or Desmond and Paulo or maybe it’s one of those years sometimes where the East is really really down in the end because we all know that it’s wide open but we don’t know if it’s going to be down necessarily. So maybe we get three Allstars so we’re able to squeeze in uh Frono and Desmond to the All-Star game. If not, they can have they can be part of the festivities. But again, if not, it’s a good rest. At least if we can get Paulo and Fron, that’d be great. The rest of the team, relax, put your feet up, chill for that break, go to Mexico real quick, have a have a nice little time because you’re, you know, it’s going to be a long postseason, or at least we hope it’s going to be a long postseason. Then we come out of the All-Star break and we’re we’re on the West Coast. So then we we start in Sacramento, Phoenix, LA, LA. Then we’re back home for four. They’re away for two in the Midwest. Come back home. Then we stay in the Southeast for two. Then we go to Oklahoma City. So like I mentioned that that’s part of the the backtoback. So we we’re at Atlanta, then we go to Oklahoma City, and then and oh, sorry, excuse me. That’s so it’s Oklahoma. So we’re at Atlanta, back home for Oklahoma City, then we go up to Charlotte. So it’s a bit of a up and down travel. So even though the schedule is pretty balanced in that we are we’re not really going on the road for long periods of time and we’re not really at home for a very long period of time, there is a lot of like one-offs. So we’re on the road, we’re back home for one game or we’re back on the road or the vice versa. We’re home for a few games or we sneak out for a road game and come back. So that is what we’re that’s the what the Magic is going to be experiencing this season. And then really looking at the rest of the at the the schedule, Toronto, Phoenix, Atlanta, Dallas. Dallas likely will have Kyrie Irving back. Cooper Flag will be at the end of his first season. So maybe we don’t know what uh what they’ll be by the end of there. So we have at Dallas at New Orleans. Then again, Detroit is the second night of a back-to-back Minnesota again. So both of our Minnesota games are later on in the season. then at Chicago and at Boston to finish the regular season. Hopefully those games are going to be mostly the bench or mostly the third stringers playing so that we’re not going to be too worried with the uh with the schedule there. So I think uh if you look at our schedule they’re they’re really obviously there’s there’s tough opponents throughout. They don’t feel very clumped together other than let’s say in November there where we play Houston, Golden State, the Clippers, New York back to back to back to back there. That will likely be a bit more of a of a tough thing. So, I’ll I’ll go through the schedule a little bit more in depth looking at the the the teams and that we’re going to be playing. Uh, and then we’ll likely put another video out here just to kind of see what your opinion is on the on the schedule cuz again looking through it’s pretty it’s pretty straightforward or pretty even. Obviously we have backto-backs. We have two games in a row against Cleveland. Then we have San Antonio, Oklahoma City, Milwaukee twice in a row. Lakers Clippers backtoback. Well, so look at that. That’ll be a Clippers, Lakers, Houston, and Detroit. So, those four. So, both times we play Houston. They’re part of a of a tough stretch. That’s good. Again, I I I think the Magic should really want all that smoke to be honest. Uh they play Dallas, Minnesota, Milwaukee, Cleveland. We’ll see what Milwaukee ends up being. I know there’s uh we have a couple old faces on Milwaukee with Cole Anthony and Gary Harris being there, but we’ll we’ll see what we’ll see what they have to offer because the the team is is going to be kind of their team has been in flux a bit this off seasonason as you might know. then Miami, Atlanta, Oklahoma City, Lakers, Indiana, Cleveland. I don’t know. Like, if you if you look at the schedule, I I feel like it’s it’s pretty it’s pretty flat in a lot of ways. We have a lot of winnable games smushed in to games that might be more difficult to win, but with the talent level on this team now, we really should be expecting to win at minimum 50 games. But, uh, we really should be looking at the the mid50s. If everything if the if we don’t get bit by the injury bug again, then I think we will be uh we’re going to be a team to reckon with. And looking at the schedule, we have a good schedule. was um we have a we have a very good schedule especially looking at the going in and out of Europe bit. I think that’s also a positive for our schedule. I think that’s really it for the the for for a quick look at this. As I mentioned before, I’m going to give it a bit more of a deep dive, but looking through it now, it feels very flat. We don’t have any really long home stands or really long road trips, so that’s going to be beneficial. there is a lot of maybe in-n-outs for one for one game here and there. So that that is a bit more of travel, but I will do a little deeper dive into rest and who gets rest before the games and how much travel we’re going to have and all those little details. But all in all, 80 games that we know of so far, everything seems pretty flat. we don’t have too many chunks of of games where we’re against juggernauts really at at this point. Everything’s sprinkled in. So, I really believe that the Magic should have a have a great season this year. But again, probably a little biased, but that is that is the way it is. So, I want to thank you for spending a little bit of time talking Magic with me and spending the time looking through the the entire schedule. I really really appreciate you.
