The SICK Darius Garland Trade Update | NBA News Recap
Big Darius over the timeline going for the win. Due to a bunch a mega load of injury concerns, Darius Garland may be traded and the Orlando Magic. Yes. Yes. With Biolo Beno are the favorites to land him. The roster is perfect. The Magic have a million quadrillion pieces, a boat boatload of money and Darius Garland would be the perfect fit at point guard to just lead this team if he plays. But when he does play, when his toe is not jump just jamled up his butt, Darius Garland can really hoop. This could happen here in this building as Garland knows a path to Allen in traffic. Grabs the loose ball, returns it to Garland instead of going the collegiate route. So Stephen Curry just he does not seem very happy that the Warriors are the only team in the off season to not make any moves. And he has continuously stated how they need more help. They need something. He’s only getting older. His job is getting bigger. He has to do more and more. How many times can you expect him to shoot from 55,000 ft over and over and over without some more help? I get it. Jimmy Butler is goated, but they need something. He is not not quite happy that the the Warriors are the only team in the NBA yet to make an offseason move. Uh for real. For real. At this stage of your career when you I know. I know. When you’re only playing, you know, for a championship, what do you make of that uncertainty of who even is on the roster, you know, at this point in the offseason? It’s different for sure. Um but it’s it’s built on like the identity that we were able to create. Like I said, my confidence is built on the identity we were able to create over the last like third of the regular season last year. You know, the the playoff journey. Um, we have a really good team and we do know we need some pieces to help get us to the next level. Oh my god. Oh my god. Heywood Highmith has been traded to the Brooklyn Nets. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. It’s a it’s a it’s a salary dump for the Miami Heat. They’re just trying to get rid of more and more money as they start to rebuild post the Jimmy Butler era. And uh yeah, the Brooklyn Nets should enjoy him. He did lock up Jason Tatum on one play in the Eastern Conference Finals like 3 years ago. It was pretty cool. Good for Heywood. Oh, by the steel two with Vincent. So behind Cooper Flag, the second favorite to win the rookie of the year is Trey Johnson from the Washington Wizards. And apparently he’s just absolutely disgustingly obsessed with basketball. And it makes sense. He’s second overall favorite to win rookie of the year. He should be. I saw an interview where you said you kind of don’t have many offc court hobbies. You’re just like all poop. Is that legit? Can you kind of expand on that? No, it’s really that’s really what it is though. It’s not much to explain. It’s everything I’m doing is basketball related unless I’m I just got a book so I’m trying to expand a little bit and read. Smart Move
Amid injury concerns, Darius Garland may be traded — and the Orlando Magic could be the top suitor. As for the roster, the Magic have a very solid core starting lineup. This runs with four main constituients: Paolo Banchero, Jalen Suggs, Franz Wagner, and Desmond Bane. One vital piece is missing here — a certified point guard. The team has the depth with Tyus Jones, Moritz Wagner and the young picks in Jase Richardson, Tristan Da Silva. All they can do now is put a stamp on it and chase a title. In this trade, the Magic will deal many flexible assets. Their roster runs deep, and they can very well shed money to make a splash. T
Sad?
“It’s different, for sure,” Curry prefaced about Golden State’s move-less offseason. “But … my confidence is built on the identity that we were able to create over the last third of the regular season last year (and) the playoff journey. We have a really good team, and we do know we need some pieces to help get us to the next level.
OMG
Haywood Highsmith has been traded to the Brooklyn Nets in what essentially is a salary dump for the Miami Heat.
Haysmith and the Heat’s 2032 second-round pick go to the Nets in exchange for Brooklyn’s 2026 second-round pick, top-55 protected. Both the Nets and Heat have confirmed the trade.
OK
With that in mind, let’s look at who might be able to challenge Flagg for Rookie of the Year, grouping them by category. Tre Johnson, Washington Wizards (+750)
