Even without the injury, he was over-exerting himself on the court. He played ALL but around 2 minutes at the end of the 1st quarter! He really loves to play and/or Slovenia sucks, the whole country depends on him. Meanwhile, KP and Bertrans load managed, played less than 10 mins in the 1st half, and went all out in the 3rd. I actually didn't want the rest of 3rd Q onwards after Luka's injury.
Luka plays better D than Joker, and yet … gets no respect.

The NBA season is about to begin in 2 months. Luka needs to be responsible for his situation. He just signed $163 million contract and needs to honor that by being careful about his decisions. I understand that he wants to represent his country, but fair is fair; don't forget the team that just spent a ton of money to hire you.
If maybe some Lakers fans will feel better Luka probably won't play for NT till 2029 Eurobasket again. In last decade Slovenia had a very good NT and they easily qualify without Luka for every big international tournament (Olympics, World cup, Eurobasket) and Luka was playing every offseason. It's different now. This new, young NT is really bad and they won't qualify without Luka to this tournaments.
