“Investing” In NBA Teams For The 2026 Season

“Investing” In NBA Teams For The 2026 Season

If you really think about it, the NBA is kind of like the stock market, except instead of losing money, I lose my own sanity watching my favorite hometown team lose every single game and never become a successful team in my lifetime. But the point still stands. Just like stocks, these teams will go up and down throughout the season. Sometimes they’re at the very top of the ladder and end up crashing down and go bankrupt, while other times some of the bottom feeders can have a crazy end of the season and spike up, make the playoffs, and you know, even sometimes make the NBA finals. So, basically what I’m getting at here is in today’s video, I’m going to give you guys my NBA financial advice. And what that means is we’re going to be using this image right here as our quote unquote stock market. All this image really is is just like the projected over under on wins for each team this season. And I’m going to tell you guys if I’m buying or selling. Now, I know that can kind of just make it sound like I’m telling you guys if I’m going to go over or under on their numbers, but that’s not the case. We’re just kind of using this as like a reference point. Okay? So, if I say that I’m buying the Houston Rockets, that doesn’t mean that I think they’re going to go over 55 wins. I just think they’re going to be a team around the top of the Western Conference like they are shown in the image. Does everything make sense? Listen, I got dressed up for this video cuz it’s like stockbased. Even though this is a vintage shirt, that’s why it’s a little dirty. It’s from the ’60s. But anyways, let’s just hop right into it. Okay, everybody take out your pen and paper. We are going to start off with the Western Conference. I’m not going to go through every single team. I’m just going to go through the teams that I feel are somewhat important like the Sacramento Kings. They are projected to have 35.5 wins on the season. I’m going to tell you guys right now, sell every last bit of your Sacramento Kings stock. This team is an absolute nothing burger. I only feel like I have to talk about them because I am like one of the only Kings fans on the internet. This team is god awful. Absolutely no cohesiveness. They’re just a bunch of random players mushed in together. The GM is actively trying to rebuild this team but can’t because the contracts are so bad. I talk about this team almost every single day. Just sell the stock, okay? Just sell it. I don’t care. But things are a little bit different if you keep going up the list because the Dallas Mavericks, while other people sold off a lot of their shares once Luca Donuch got traded, a guy like me, I’m buying this stock. I know it might be crazy. AD can still get injured. They don’t have Luca Donic. Like I mentioned, Kyrie isn’t coming back till January, but a part of me feels like if we could buy on the low right now with Cooper Flag being on the team, I think AD is going to have a healthy year. Kyrie is going to come back in January and give them that boost of energy that they need to finish out the season. If there is one stock advice that you take from this video, it’s to buy on the Dallas Mavericks. Nico Harrison was a silent genius. I am not going to shut up about this. Moving forward, man, I didn’t realize how many Western Conference teams I wanted to talk about in this video. Memphis Grizzlies are just like a quiet cell to me. I feel like they’re on the verge of rebuilding. I think they kind of hit their peak already with their success in previous years. Things just kind of quickly derailed for them. Whether it was John Moran off the court or injuries, whatever it may be. I think it’s gotten to the point where now the team is just so, you know, unorganized and so just discombobulated from when they did have Jaw on a consistent basis. I don’t know, things just kind of feel different from when they used to be good. So, I am selling the Memphis Grizzlies. I think they are on the verge of some sort of retooling or rebuild. Following Memphis, we have probably the most obvious buy of our entire lives with that of course being the San Antonio Spurs. I really don’t have to talk about this team. Everybody knows Webyama. I I’m not even going to list off the [ __ ] roster. Yeah, that one’s obvious. Just buy the San Antonio stock. The LA Lakers are projected to win 46 games according to this image right here. And if we’re using that as like the base premise of the stock price for the Lakers, I am selling the [ __ ] out of it. I know they have Luca, but none of their offseason moves have really moved me. I feel like they might even have some weird chemistry issues with the fact that LeBron is still there, even though LeBron isn’t one to normally cause like team issues. Um, I do still feel like there might be something weird happening this season. Even though Luca is looking skinny and ripped and everyone wants to talk about him, he is going to have a good season. For all I know, he might even [ __ ] win MVP. But I don’t feel like the team success is there yet. We’ve seen it with the Dallas Mavericks. didn’t become really successful with that team until they were able to properly build around him. Something that I don’t think the Lakers have done yet, mainly because they haven’t had the time or resources to do so. So, this season I am going to be selling my Lakers stock. And then we start approaching the top of the top in the Western Conference. A lot of these teams have always kind of been projected to be this high. Um maybe the Clippers are usually a little bit lower, but the one team that definitely stands out is the Houston Rockets. And just like most people, I am buying on the Houston Rockets. The KD edition is insane. I am a little bit sad that they lost Dylan Brooks because I do value him so much as a player, but I think them losing Jaylen Green wasn’t that big of a deal, especially when you get a scorer like KD in the building. This team is young for the most part, but is still really fun. The one thing that does kind of scare me, and not that this matters for next season, is that they only have so much time left with KD. like if they have a really good next couple of years, you don’t know how much Kevin Durant you have left before he retires. And then it’s like when he’s gone, how quickly are you going to get someone else to come in and fill in that gap? But hey, that doesn’t matter. I am still going to be buying the Houston Rockets stock. So, this right here is my list of Western Conference teams. This is my buying and selling. It is now time to move over to the East Coast. Starting off, I actually can’t believe they are this low on the list. The Washington Wizards. This might be one of the biggest buys I have ever seen. Not because they’re going to have a crazy finals run next season, but because the young talent that they’re putting together over in Washington and the guys that they are developing are 100% going to end up being great players. And overall, this team is just going to be a ton of fun to watch next season. Whether they are winning or losing, I don’t really care. So, yes, we are buying Wizard stock and Trey Johnson is going to be rookie of the year. Moving on. I didn’t think I was going to talk about the Charlotte Hornets, but if they are this low on the list at 26 wins, [ __ ] it, bro. I’ll just assume that LaMelo Ball is going to be healthy. I’ll buy a little bit of this stock. I’m not going too crazy on it because the chances of LaMelo being healthy are insanely low. I actually made the discovery a couple of weeks ago that LaMelo has spent more time getting tattoos during the off season than he spent playing in last year’s season, which is kind of crazy. But if he can make his way onto the floor and actually play some games, I have no doubt in my mind the Hornets will be a good team. And by good team, I just mean they’re going to make the play in tournament. But you know what? I’ll move on to the 76ers because I think their situation is very interesting. As for Joel Embiid, I really don’t know if he’s going to be healthy at all or how much he is going to play during the regular season. Here’s my plan for the 76ers. And if they do this, I will be buying their stock. Play all of your young guys. Put the Jared McCain’s, the VJs, the Tyrese, everybody out there. Put them out there. let them play, get their points, do whatever, and sit Joel Embiid’s ass on the bench for every single game. And then near the end of the season, when things start to get a little intense, when you start approaching that playoff territory, you unleash Joel Embiid. This is a guy where when healthy, he is literally the MVP of the league. So, if he’s dealing with injuries all throughout the season and he wears himself out before the playoffs, like he does almost every single year, you will once again not make it to the conference finals. But with the Eastern Conference being so damn weak, everybody being injured, if you’re the Sixers, you can play your damn G-League roster out there for a majority of the season and still make the playoffs. So if they do that, if they play their young guys, bring Joel in near the end of the season and let him dominate the postseason, I am buying every single share of 76ers stock. The Celtics are definitely an interesting one. I don’t know if I want to buy or sell them necessarily, but I am really excited to see what Jaylen Brown can do as like the number one guy on a team. He might be like one of the least talked about finals MVPs that we have seen in recent times. So, seeing what you can do as the actual number one option will be very interesting. And honestly, every other team at the top of this Eastern Conference I want to talk about. So, I’m just going to kind of run through it pretty quickly for you guys. The Milwaukee Bucks I am buying. And this might be a huge mistake as I fall victim to the Giannis team every single time. If he’s fully healthy, ah man, no. His team sucks ass. Miles Turner’s there, but no, his team sucks ass. I have changed my mind a little bit. I am buying a very small amount of Milwaukee Bucks shares. The Detroit Pistons, I might be overreacting to what Dennis Schruder and Malik Beasley gave to this team, but the fact that they’re gone right now, I don’t know. I think the team is still going to be good. They’re still going to be solid, but if they are being placed at what, fifth in the Eastern Conference? Yeah, I guess it’s actually a pretty solid spot for them. If they are going to be projected to be fifth, I will buy their stock. I don’t have them in like top three conversations though like some other people do. The Atlanta Hawks, if fully healthy, I am buying their stock. The only thing that kind of scares me is Chris Haps Porzingis’ like random little illness that he had. He was playing in the Euro League, so it looks like he’s doing healthy and okay, but the guy has always kind of been known for being injuryprone. So, as long as he’s good, I will buy the stock. Orlando Magic, I am buying. I am excited to see what Desmond Bane can do on this team. And also a Pala Banker jump. And then you have the top two. And for this one, I am actually going to be a little bit dramatic here. I am going to buy New York Knicks stock because in my mind, they are number one in the Eastern Conference. I think they will be leading the conference not only because of their additions and them kind of building out a little bit more of a bench, but also Mike Brown. I think it’s going to be different, you know, not having Tibs coaching this team. Mike will actually utilize the bench and, you know, just do it a better way. And the Cleveland Cavaliers, if they are set at 56 wins, I am going to be selling their stock only because I see them as a second seed. And I know I said that the, you know, whole standings thing didn’t matter, but I want to make the video dramatic. So, I’m selling the Cavalier stock, baby. I don’t care. That being said, this is my East Coast um selections or stock picks, prices, buying, sellings, whatever. Hopefully you guys enjoyed this video. If you did, be sure to like and subscribe as it does help out the channel a ton. We just got done beating the Charlotte Hornets in subscriber count, so thank you guys so much for doing that. But now that we beat them, we are trying to take down the Washington Wizards. You guys know how much I love the Wizards, so it might be a little bit sad to beat them in subscribers, but I don’t care. It has to be done. And also, don’t forget to comment down below your guys’s opinions on not only my rankings or my like stock selections, but your guys’s as well. I read and respond to everybody, even if you guys don’t think I do. And yeah, I want to hear what you guys have to say. Whether you agree or disagree with me, it is okay. That being said, I will see you guys all in the next one. Later.
