Are the Chicago Bulls Posturing for Coby White’s Future Contract?

It’s time to talk about Kobe White. The Chicago Bulls have been dismissing inquiries about his services. Is that a good thing or is a bad thing? But you know, we got to hear the music first. [Music] Oh, Sh Boys podcast with the cognac boys. I am cognac boyc Dub holding it down on another daily episode of Shy Boys podcast. We gonna get there with all the support you guys been giving us. Um, let’s talk about Kobe White, man. And, uh, the Chicago Bulls reportedly have been dismissing any type of trade offers for Kobe White. Are they Are they real? Are they really being genuine or or are they just being crafty business businessmen? Uh let’s look at a couple uh statements from Basket News. Uh the article, you can go ahead and bring up Google if you want and look up Basket News. And uh I got I just picked cherrypicked a couple of statements out of the article. Uh here’s the first. The Chicago Bulls have made it clear that they want to keep Kobe White despite trade interest this off season. I know multiple teams tried to trade for Kobe this season. An NBA executive told Ash Mather of Dallas Hoops Journal. Now, Kobe White, I do agree with this that Kobe White should uh be a part of the Chicago Bulls future. just first off the hard work uh that Kobe White puts in uh on the offense on the off season. You see him with dribble too much, improving his game each and every season and we can see the proof in the pudding. Um Kobe has been getting better and better at a increasing rate for the last three years. We just can’t deny that he’s been getting better and better, especially over the last three years. um that’s think what he had to go through. Like when he first came into this season into this uh team when he got drafted by the Bulls from North Carolina, he was a combo guard. He was a scoring combo guard and I think he did pretty good his his rookie and uh sophomore season a little bit. But then um we got new players in here and and Billy and the Chicago Bulls asked Kobe White to be the point guard. Um, I think he could be a point guard, but he’s not going to be the playmaking guy. Let’s say that of Josh Giddy. Uh, Kobe White think scoring first. Uh, that’s how he that’s how he molded his game throughout his career. Uh, from a little when he first picked up a basketball to where he is now, he’s always been a scorer first. So, what we’ve seen from the last three years when the Chicago Bulls switch from uh come in, let me see who you going to be the combo guard when you in here the first time. We need you to switch up a D and be a point guard cuz we got Zack Lavine and Demar De Rozan. Now, we want you to to switch over and be the scoreer because we going to grab uh Lonzo Ball. We’re gonna grab Josh Giddy now. So now you could be a score and he’s prevailing, bro. Last year was his greatest static stat statistical year uh as a player in my opinion, 25 and four. That’s his best stats and I think he can only go higher. Uh, I always said that Kobe White has no ceilings just off the way that he was adjusting to what the Chicago Bulls asked of him and he did it to the best of his ability and it was effective to a point. Uh, I don’t know if it affected wins and losses, but he ain’t totally fail and being, let’s say, uh, playmaking point guard, uh, a distributor. He didn’t fail. He wasn’t He wasn’t a lead. He wasn’t very good. He was okay. He was good. But Kobe White, man, he been through a lot, man. I’m glad that the Bulls are really announcing that they want Kobe White to be a part of this team, and it sounds like they want to be he they want him to be a part of this team for the future. Okay, here’s the second one. Um, White, the number seven pick in the 2019 NBA draft, has developed into Chicago’s main offensive weapon, averaging 25 and four in the 2024 2025 season. Although White is on a bargain three-year, $36 million million deal signed in 2023 and cannot extend at market value until 2026. The Bulls are committed to keeping him. They plan to use his bird rights to resign him next summer rather than risking him. Now, this is really the gist. Like, Kobe going to come get his bread. So, if y’all think y’all going to offer him 25 29 million is it don’t play with him. Especially if he has another Ascendant season next season. uh Kobe White. I expect him to bump up that point per game average. I expect up to to bump up the the rebounds a little bit. And even if you can admit it, if you can believe it, even some of those assists, I bet them to bump them up a couple points. Kobe White is playing on the cheap. We have the best deal when it comes to a shooting guard with the Chicago Bulls and Kobe White. He owned a $36 million contract. A three-year $36 million contract. A guy of that impact. We’re getting on a steal. It’s a hijack. 12 per for a guy like Kobe almost made most improved player. If he can start the season like he ends the season, he can be considered for an all-star, man, we got us a great deal. So, we gonna have to pay for that later, bro. And I like what the Bulls are doing. The Bulls are even if they were acquiring, even if the Bulls were listening to the trade offers, the Bulls are doing this for Kobe’s ears. We want you, big dog. We trying to they trying to position themselves for a great deal in the future. We always wanted you even though we’ve been talking to teams all this time. We always want to you want you. They that’s actually a good thing they GMing. It’s a good job. Who knows if they dismissed everything. They probably dismissed everything. But now that they see that they can’t get what they can that they wanted. If it were a trade offer, if they were interested in trading Kobe, you have to make the guy happy. Start sewing those positive comments in there. Josh Giddy part of the foreseeable future. We seen that report. GMs like Kobe White. The Chicago Bulls want Kobe White to stay in Chicago. It’s a good job from the Chicago Bulls. They fa they making they play right now, which is smart. Put all type of positivity on the situation before it before it happens. Put the positive spin on it before it happens. And I appreciate that. I would I would appreciate if you guys take care of this guy the right way. I’m thinking 35 and up per year. But that’s based upon this this season. What is he going to put out there on tape this season? He’s going to be better. That’s all I got to say. He’s going to be better. This has been another video about Kobe White. Um, Bull saying they going to stick with Kobe White for the foreseeable future. Do y’all agree? Should the Chicago Bull Bulls invest in Kobe White in the next iteration of the Chicago Bulls? I say yes. What do you say? Make sure y’all hit that like button. Make sure you subscribed if you haven’t already. And I’mma see y’all on the next one for sure. If I could end it. [Music] [Music]
