And we know that the Grizzlies historically love to zag while the rest of the league zigs. Coach Painter is right. This is not a traditional postup league anymore. But is there room? Are we thinking about this wrong? Is there room for Edy to be the guy that benefits most from this lack of perimeter scoring with the starting five potentially if it’s Contavius Caldwell Pope and Jaylen Wells maybe. I see a lane there. I don’t know that that is the best way for the Grizzlies to win basketball games in the here and now, but I do think that a larger role in the offense for Zach Edit makes sense, especially when you consider that so much from what we know about Tomas iso and the scheme that he is likely to put in as the new Grizzlies head coach.

I’ve always thought a good post up guy would have the same or better place than back in the day. If you’re shooting 70% a two point shot is better than missing all those 3 s. Besides there are hardly any good post up centers now to deal with , so let Zack eat.

Edey with his length should develop a floater, yes a floater. He's shown he can make a 3 or 2 but if he can develop a floater with his post & P/R game he'd be hell. It would mostly if not all come off the P/R. No need in him shooting a 15 footer with his lenght so just float it. Half court Offense could do wonders with this coach. Yes me 2, i need him in the trenches reb & blocking but can add 2 that

Edey can wear down his defender in the post which could slow down their offensive input vs the grizz
