Orlando Magic Sign Lester Quinones To A Deal
What’s going on guys? Real quickly, Lester Kinonesz is signing or having agreed to a deal according to hoops Michael Scott with the Orlando Magic. Kinonesz this past season in nine games with the New Orleans Pelicans averaged 21 my apology 8.6 points and then in the G-League he had averaged 21.7 rebounds and five assists with one and a half steals. Lester Kenyonz, a lot of people might remember him with the Golden State Warriors for a couple of seasons. He had spent 41 games with them and then spent last year between the Pelicans and the Philadelphia 76ers. Not really getting much run with the Sixers, but with the Warriors in 23 to 24. He was a guy who was playing almost 11 minutes a night and 37 appearances, four and a half points, two rebounds, and assists a night while shooting decent splits from the field. This is a guy who for his career, yes, has shot so far 39.7% from three and as I mean my apology from the field and shooting 37% from three. Look at that. Two mess ups right there. And for his career with the Warriors, he had been really just a two-way guy. 40% field goal shooter at best, putting up mainly three-point shots, and being someone who could be a treacherary playmaker, a guy who could be a complimentary shooter. He’s 6’5. He’s more of a combo guard, can play kind of the wing, but he’s someone that at this point has been a fringe NBA player, clearly someone that is good enough to be in the league. He’s 24.8 8 years old about turned 25 and he’s someone that shows he could be kind of a 3 and D guy. He’s got some, you know, decent defense. He’s tough to shake. He’s got a good release and he’s got good footwork and he’s got the strength to stay in front. He plays well off ball. He’s shown that he’s grown as a player and he doesn’t really take risks as a passer and he does a good job of shooting, especially when he’s off balance. I know some people would be like, well, he’s a below the rim finisher, not the best athlete, and he sometimes can be a little turnover pro, but I just think that this is a guy who is a good shooter. He’s got good speed. He has the ability to guard one through three. Teams are probably going to try to continue to use him as he’s more of a limited creator who plays off the ball, who can score off the dribble, but he’s more of a 3 and D guy with some ball skills. for a team like the Orlando Magic. If you just look at their their current depth chart, they’re a squad that could use someone like him. I mean, their roster is close to being completed, but if we pull up what it looks like currently, they have themselves Jaylen Suggs, Desmond Bane, France Vagner, Paula Vancer, Wendell Carter Jr. as their starting five. Taius Jones is the backup point guard with probably Anthony Black as the other guy. Tristan Dilva, Jonathan Isaac, Mo Vagner. Then you throw in Mr. Lester Kones, Jet Howard, Noah Penda, Goa Betaz, right? Betaz. It’s Betaz, not Bets. It’s Betaz. And then their two two-ways that are filled are Orlando Robinson and Jaylen Kane. So, they have one roster spot and one two-way filled. I expect them to take the two-way. It’s a one that’s not going to cost anybody a roster spot and he he would fit right there as he could play multiple positions, provides them with some scoring and I think it’s going to be very interesting to see how it all plays out. I mean, he’s somebody that I would love I would love for him to be in the NBA. He’s someone that’s been fun to watch and enjoyable and he works really well with what you’re you’re probably going to want. And also he played the summer league.
