I’m a believer that team chemistry is as much or more important than talent. Talent gets you to the dance but chemistry makes you a winner.
Leif… I'm sure the Jazz space is great, but I wish you were still doing draft content too… am I going to watch more college basketball than you this year??? lol!

Look, I get the philosophy here, but it is repugnant and gross as a fan of competition. The Jazz deserve purgatory.
This casual take is not going to help the casual listeners.
The jazz got good players in return for the trade, what did you expect for Mitchell? A bag of chips? We got the best players and amount of picks we could, and rightfully so!
Then you see how they play and where we're at, calling it a loss or mistake is sorry sighted and not logical.
I think both teams won each of their deals. Neither of the teams they went to have made it to the Championship series. I don't think either of them will. Timberwolves have already started to adjust. Cleveland and Mitchell will not win together as I don't think Mitchell is a dominant piece that will win you a championship. I love Mitchell as a player but I think the lack of size and defense is going to be the problem.
JAZZ had 0% chance to draft Wemby. Adam Silver rigged the draft for Spurs to 100% draft him….Riudy nor Mitchell are title winners because both are one way players. Rudy no offense and Mitchell no defense. Not to mention Mitchell being a drama queen. He'll never get the Cavs past the second round.
Sorry Jazz lost. Both the other teams have been contenders. Half the Jazz fan base wants to trade Lauri and put us back to square 1, with no all stars with only potentially good players. And another 3 years of tanking. That being said, Jazz will be fun to watch this year!
On the Mitchell trade we traded a second option for a second/third option plus a haul of picks and sexton… I think we won that trade… and worst case scenario got an even trade. The Timberwolves one is tricky because Kessler will probably be the only asset that is good from that trade. And Kessler is a lesser value then Gobert… (although A LOT cheaper and younger), but that jazz team had run its course you had to make the trades.
