What do you think about Cam Thomas?
Please leave a like on the video and subscribe!
Caribbean people believe in too much obia and Africans believe in too much voodoo black Americans don’t practice evilness they got love
7:18 so is the issue star players taking too large a slice, remove the apron, remove the cap?
Maybe if he starts play more than 70 games a season, dude is injury prone he will torch the league in weeks then suddenly get hurt that is why his stock never gets up.
Nets fan here.
Cam was on a team post KD/Kyrie. A team that had at least 6 above average defenders and playoff aspirations. Cam would have been the perfect 6th man for that team and you know what happened? The coach wasn’t playing him
Him and MPJ would be the funniest duo
Jordan did the same in his early career as Cam Thomas. The media hates the Nets. It all about Madison Square Gardens
cam thomas playing like bubble tj warren
Overrated shot chucking bum.
I don't buy the "stop cam you stop the whole team" thing. At least not when he shared the court with the other Cam.
Bro gonna end up like Allonzo Trier
He should come off the bench and play the lou Williams role but his ego too big for that
I have no idea why Thomas thinks he's a main guy
Pay that man
"Unfortunately he shot just over 40% from the field" while averaging over 20pts… Are you guys ok? A guard taking 18 shots a game averaging 44% from the field is elite. He's basically shooting as well as D Mitch, what the hell are you guys talking about when it comes to efficiency? Furthermore, his scoring is pretty much identical to D Mitch
Bro you made a video about how bad you think Cam Thomas is? Pause bro. Pause.
His scoring is impressive, esp. when he's on a heater. But, he doesn't play winning basketball (in a vacuum). Sure, Jordan Poole has a ring, but that was mostly him coming off the bench. That is the role I see for CT. Not hating, every team could use a microwave scorer off the bench. But, if you over expose his playing time into starter minutes, he will still get buckets, but no defense is a major problem to winning. Others mentioned like Trae Young, Brunson, and Maxey are all clearly better players than CT, but since their defense is also suspect–none of them have got any chips.
I think its kind of crazy that he has the highest assist average on the nets and his average is like less than 4 apg. I feel like that speaks on the current state of the nets more than Cam Thomas
6moty ahh player
I think he would be a fine microwave scorer as a sixth man, like Malik Monk. The problem is that with the new CBA you can’t pay a one-way role player $25m a season. You just can’t.
it is not all about passing if a player can make it for the team then he must do it! but if he will pass it without guarantees then why he would pass it? nba missing a lot
Anyone bad when not doing what others want em to do 🗣️ keep doin you #24
Smh this contract situation got videos like this coming out now ? That's wild lol
Pass to who? Tyrese martin?😂
Simple… he isnt at all
It’s crazy how far you can make it without appreciating passing the ball. It’s so weird to me lol
He is ballhog
Do Brandin podz and kuminga
He is, but he’s had to be.
Cam is the guy who can get buckets at any level so he never bothered to develop any other part of the game
“How good is Cam Thomas Actually?” ❌
“How bad is Cam Thomas Actually?” ✅
There alot of 13ppg scorers in the league who could average 20 a losing team. As Jalen Rose and Nick Young have said "nobody is looking at The Nets scouting report"
He'd be amazing in the lou williams /jamal Crawford role. But if you must start him, I'd put 3 or 4 two way players around him that can help guard the perimeter while also being offensive threats themselves. So he can focus primarily on scoring and have shooters around him who can knock down shots. Only fear for him is hes a smaller guard who relies heavily on athleticism to get his shots off and already has been dealing with injuries. Him and monta ellis have similar play styles for a comparison.
There simply isnt a market for guys like him anymore; a guy like Jordan Poole–who imo can contribution more to winning–went for peanuts, Zach lavine is a guy where his teams are better when hes off the floor, and my Rockets only managed to move off Jalen, despite being one of the worst players in this sport, because the suns were so desperate into getting out their predicament.
PPG is always going to wow casuals, but hes genuinely one of the least impactful players in the sport. Many NBA players can score 20ppg, most don't due to being a role which maximizes their skill and winning, and that makes his play mean so little especially in an era which values versatility and impact. The worst part of this is him openly feigning ignorance to why ppl dont like his play, and that gives credence to the idea his play may never evolve. There is no world where his current play can ever be maximized, i instead see him as scoring punch of the bench. For clarification Cam Thomas has one of the worst impact profiles according to advance stats, like Scoot Henderson bad.
The only combo guard who genuinely deserves love is Malik Monk, one of the best non-PG interior passers in the sport (passing being his best skill imo), yet hes stuck with the negative combo guard label.
You're kind of omitting the fact that Brooklyn had Cam Johnson who was a far more efficient scorer and who should have been given more shots than Cam Thomas.b I don't know why you're saying that cam Thomas was the only guy who could have gotten a bucket for the Nets,?
Cam Thomas got 3.8 assists in his best year. The average is 2.1 for his career and he's supposed to be a guard? Garbage stats.
Cam Thomas is the Jordan Poole of the Brooklyn franchise. He even looks like him.😅
2 year 28M is Damn Good!
The media love to hate and troll him cus he isn't well known and put him under the stereotype that he's a "ball hog", "one-dimensional never-pass-the-rock", "no defense".
As a Nets fan, if you watch all the games, he plays moderate defense and rarely gets foul calls (unfair whistle and 80% of all his free throws are from and-1s) cus of the narrative of the Nets being a "tanking team" meant to lose games, leading him to make ethical hoops (i.e. no foulbaiting). Arguably, he could've made 27-32ppg with a fair whistle while still being double teamed but it wouldn't matter cus of the stereotypes and gaslighting by the media.
They were 4-5th in the East with CT but tanked to 12th at the end of the season. Can't call him a net liability when his impact was a major positive and he created winning basketball. It's frustrating that The Bridge documentaries ignores and downplays Thomas' extreme impact for the team after Schroeder left and more into the veteran Johnson and the rebuilding of players who barely had minutes.
If he was more like Jimmy Butler by trashtalking top players and showed more of a media prescence of how much he had to carry these bums or score more highlight clips/ankle-breakers on top players like Lamelo Ball, the narrative would be different.
Till then, CT will be gaslighted to be a $6-15 million player. I would say $22.5 million is the floor but $30-35 million is a stretch cus he still needs more to prove cus of the uncertainties behind the Net's "tanking" politics.
Wait he only played 25 games because of a hamstring 🤔
Seems like another Buddy Heild. Give it 2 more years and he’ll be a role player
like most players, he needs to be on a team with a coach that knows how to use him. He could be a great sixth man. He’s not a starter.
Yall don't know ball! He PLAYED HIS ROLE!!!! Nets were built to lose of course he is going to shot chuck thats how this shit works
Can Thomas can be a ball hog if he wants because he is unstoppable!!! I wish they would trade him to Golden State with Curry!
