Shey Peddy reacts to signing 7-day hardship contract with Indiana Fever
Sophie Cunningham was ruled out for the season with a torn right MCL on Tuesday. In a corresponding move, the Indiana Fever signed veteran guard Shey Peddy to a 7-day hardship contract. The team has four days between games, which gives her reasonable practice time to familiarize herself with the team and situation.
After practice on Wednesday, she spoke to reporters about this opportunity, following the team from afar, growth she’s seen from the WNBA, and how she can contribute.
She’s a 5-foot-7 guard that most recently spent time on a hardship deal with the LA SparksΒ βΒ and averaged 5.0 points and 2.7 assists over six games.
