Won't Matt Ishbia save $100 million this year just by waiving him. I know it won't help the salary cap. But Matt will save the amount he's paying over 5 years in saving this coming yearZ
As horrible of a trade it was trading for Beal. The suns didn’t have a team around booker and Durant. Offseason 2023. Suns added Beal. Grayson Allen. Nassir little. Nurkic. Keta bates diop. Watanobe. Metu. Bol bol. Eubanks. What was booker and Durant working with. Durant now is on a solid defensive team with good coaching. A deep rotation that the number 3 pick in the draft couldn’t get minutes
The trade was bad process, but at least had some upside … this move is all downside – other teams all laughing and lining up to sign him at suns expense

If Booker is about that life take a team friendly contract for his extension to cover Beal's buyout since obviously he does not want him here if he did we wouldnt be talking about it.
They kinda buried themselves with Beal but as Suns fans I think we gotta eat this deal and suffer the consequences

Majority of suns fans want us to just eat the Beal contract.
Keep for this season. Stretch him next year if nobody trades for him. Stretching 5 years for 57 million is better than stretching 110 or 80 something million. Plus they gain leverage back towards trading him. Doesn't save Ishbia personal money, but saves team cap money.
All those picks we gave to Washington for Beal… Crazy.
Suns will be paying 75M for Booker and still 20M for Beal (who won't be in the team). That's 95M (half of the cap) for 1 player.

Resigning Booker instead of trading him for picks was a mistake.

The only benefit Suns get out of this is not making another stupid trade like this and giving this much money to a player that isn’t worthy of it.
