The Story
The ride’s premise places guests in the post-Voldemort era, following the events of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. You begin your journey in wizarding Paris before taking a magical trip via the Métro-Floo network to the British Ministry of Magic. The purpose of your visit is to attend the trial of Dolores Umbridge. However, things quickly go awry when Umbridge escapes, and you are thrust into a chase alongside Harry, Ron, and Hermione through the depths of the Ministry as they try to stop her.
The action-packed adventure takes you through a number of iconic locations, including the Grand Atrium, the Department of Magical Creatures, the Department of Mysteries, and more, as you face off against Death Eaters and dangerous creatures.
The Experience
* Ride System: The attraction uses a unique and innovative ride system. The ride vehicle is a 14-passenger “elevator” or “lift” that is mounted on a robotic arm, which in turn moves along a roller coaster-like track. This allows for a full range of motion—up, down, forward, backward, sideways, and beyond—providing a dynamic and immersive experience. The vehicles are designed to look like the magical lifts from the films.
* Theming and Immersion: The ride is a dark ride that blends highly detailed, three-dimensional sets with massive, high-definition screens. The queue itself is a major part of the experience, designed to be a full-scale recreation of the Ministry of Magic. Guests will walk through a meticulously themed environment featuring talking paintings, flying interdepartmental memos, and an incredible sense of scale that makes you feel as though you’ve truly stepped into the wizarding world.
