They lost to Detroit Piston in 04' nba finals I believe and Pistons had a unbelievable squad that years with the addition of Karl Malone and Gary Payton being on The Lakers first so called super team and they lost badly but I think Kobe and Shaq could of been four or five time nba champions before the split
Shaq would be the best basketball player that’s ever lived if he did it Kobe‘s way. Imagine if Shaq worked on a mid range shot. Imagine if he had some of the bag Dream had. He was already unstoppable, put in shape, and driven on top of that, my God
Shaq is overrated.. dominated weak centers in the 00s..YAO, young Dwight and Jermaine O’Neal were the only centers of his era.. great bigs of 00s were PF.. he played rik smits and Davis bros, old mutumbo/ Tyrone hill and Jason collins and that white dude in his 3 peat run in the finals with Kobe.. had nobody to worry about guarding (unlike 95 finals).. Kobe faced Reggie miller, mark jackson and Jalen rose, iverson and Kidd in the 3 peat finals.. even in 06 he went against nobody against the mavs.. when he played a real center he got owned.. I’ve seen Duncan own him in a few series as well..
Bruh if Shaq simply did pool cardio or a stationary bike in the off season he could’ve been much greater as a player when it was all said and done 💀 wouldn’t have taken much to make a hell of a difference
Unpopular opinion but I think there’s a real chance if Shaq did adapt Kobe’s alleged work regimen, there’s a good chance we’d know Shaq as a big “what if” story due to injuries.😂
Shaq is the GOAT he three peated in the most dominant fashion and he took home all the trophies each time he did it! Kobe could never and was at that point playing secondary option
Shaq coulda been the goat honestly. It’s crazy to think he’s like top ten all time scoring list and he missed basically half of his free throws.
He has the 5th most Free throw attempts all time with 11,252. That’s 5,626 points he missed out on at the free throw line.
Shaq was a monster and probably top ten all time on everybody list If he stayed in shape Like kobe wanted Its hard to imagine just how crazy his career would be. Him and kobe would of probably get like 7-10 rings
Kobe carried Shaq to two of those three Championships…during the three-peat era, from 2000 to 2003, Kobe led the Lakers in scoring with 28pts/game and Shaq averaged 27.2pts/game…Kobe made 12 straight NBA ALL-DEFENSE TEAMS and Shaq never made an NBA ALL-DEFENSE TEAM…AND DURING THEIR ENTIRE TIME TOGETHER, KOBE LED EVERY PLAYOFF SERIES IN 4TH QUARTER SCORING BECAUSE SHAQ WAS DAMN NEAR UNPLAYABLE DUE TO HIS ATROCIOUS 40% FREE THROW SHOOTING…THE HACK-A-SHAQ HAD HIM SIDELINED IN MOST CLOSE 4TH QUARTERS, SO KOBE WAS USUALLY CLOSING OUT GAMES…so can somebody please explain to me how you can carry a team when your lazy ass is on the bench at the most crucial time of the game…???🤔

Shaq’s ego was always the problem
Kobe never respected Shaq, but Shaq shouldn't have taken it personally 😒 Kobe didn't respect anybody 🤨
Narcissistic bryant ruined them. Bryants interest was just shooting. Period.

Phil and shaq was wrong…im not going to tell a player its ok to come to training camp out of shape..thats crazy to me.
Kobe learned how good he had it after Shaq left.
Just imagine if Shaq took a single summer to improve his free throws.

All the other guys giving in to shaq was part of the problem he was spoiled rotten child
And Shaq was still better
Kobe hated he wasn't #1 and it messed up a possible 4th or 5th peat seeing how he was developing after
kobe really had that Michael Jordan mindset. aint nobody convincing me that MJ wasnt kobe's favorite player😂
That's when Kobe Bryant said Big fellas there's a new sheriff in town. And his name is Kobe Bean Bryant aka black mamba
Imagine embid being one inch taller and more physical and had no injuries and had more muscles that was what shaq was

Shaq had all the talent. Imagine if he also had Kobe's work ethic.
I don’t believe that “Use the season to get yourself in shape was a Phil plan” shit. Sounds like a cover story for Shaq being lazy in the offseason.
Bro Shaq with Mamba mentality= Greatest of all time
Shaq would have had a better career if he would have worked to stay healthy either way I’m sure he doesn’t regret any of it
They pissed each other off, but that’s what made them great
Shaq always been better than Kobe , Kobe a hater ! You Kobe fans are delusional
they were both insanely childish

Dude dribbles a ball
USA : I can milk you
Kobe is the goat period
Fed his ego. That’s why he’s the cry baby he is and the bully he is. His fragile ego makes him be fake for the cameras
Pray ❤️ 🙏🏼

Yooooo
Kobe deffered to shaq too he just did it reluctantly
If they would've stay together they could have won more rings
Without Kobe, Shaq would have been just another big man. If Kobe played with big caliber centers like Kareem, Hakeem etc…he would win more rings.
