Which ALL-TIME Cleveland Cavaliers team would win in a 7-game series?

If you built two all-time Cavaliers squads out of those legends, you’re talking about one of the most fun “what if” matchups Cleveland fans could ever dream up. On one side, you’d have a modern, explosive group headlined by LeBron James, Kyrie Irving, Donovan Mitchell, Kevin Love, and Zydrunas Ilgauskas. That team brings pace, spacing, and star power — LeBron as the engine, Kyrie and Mitchell as shot-creators, Love stretching the floor, and Big Z anchoring the paint. They’d play with tempo and thrive in today’s NBA style.

The other side would be a more classic Cavs team: Mark Price running the point, Austin Carr as a scoring threat, Larry Nance Sr. providing athleticism and rim protection, Brad Daugherty bringing polished post play, and another mix of legends filling out the depth. That group would be physical, fundamentally sound, and tough as nails defensively. They wouldn’t match the pure explosiveness of the modern squad, but with Price orchestrating and Nance flying around, they’d force you to grind every possession.

Over a 7-game series, it’s hard to bet against the LeBron-led team. His ability to control the pace, dominate both ends, and elevate stars around him makes the difference. Kyrie and Mitchell would give defenses nightmares, and Love’s spacing would open up driving lanes all series long. The Price-Daugherty-Nance squad would steal games with execution and grit, but in the end, LeBron’s crew probably wins it in six. The legends of the past would fight hard, but the modern group just has too much firepower.
