On the Gary Trent Jr. topic, Grange reported the Raptors didnt want to go north of $15M AAV for GTJ last summer but GTJ wanted more than his AAV at the time, which was $18.5M. A year priror, on June 30th 2023, Chris Hayes tweeted "Toronto Raptors and Gary Trent Jr. — with CEO of Klutch Sports Rich Paul and agent Lucas Newton — are working on finalizing a lucrative multiyear extension." Still waiting on that extension, Chris.
I dont think anybody is talking about Nobody for Art because its not, it is about the money but they are many many films out there that are made for the art.
Nobody i think would only be seen as a Moneymaker rather than an Art film.

I’m really interested to see what this team can do and how the young guys develop. Both Pascal and Fred were 22 year old rookies and after their first 2 seasons nobody would have guessed that their careers would have played out the way they have. Lots of talent on this team and anyone can have a break out this year or the next. Also very high on Gradey personally defense is a cone basically 😂 but Offensively not much he can’t do but has to be more efficient for sure.

I disagree about Gradey and Ja’Kobe. I think Ja’Kobe will have a long career as a starter while Gradey will always be a sixth man. Simple reason- Ja’Kobe has a basketball body. I don’t think Gradey will ever develop the strength to take a 32- minute pounding every other night, while Ja’Kobe will eat it up. Both have the skills, Ja’Kobe just has the better vehicle for delivering them.

How is drawing offensive fouls represented in defensive stats? Bucause Shead excels at that and turnovers created without gambling should be worth ALOT in defensive value.

I'm so high on Daniels and Risacher taking a big jump (I also love the overall team dynamic on the new Hawks) and I think Bane is so overrated, that I actually think Hawks are going to be better than Orlando this upcoming season. That's my hot take. I just don't think Orlando has good team chemistry and I don't think Bane is some magic piece that's just going to suddenly make them conference finalists.
