  1. The reason Holt is trying to rush this is because he knows the US economy is collapsing right now. The horrible economic policy combined with tariffs combined with terrorizing the nation's cheap labor force is adding up to an economic recession most likely worse than 2008. He wants to get the people of San Antonio on the hook for this expense right now before they truly start feeling the effects to the point they will reject it. That's why the only smart thing for the citizens of San Antonio to do is to force a pause and wait to see how bad this gets.

    The producer Price Index for July was .9%. That's horrific inflation that's worse than any time since 2022, coming out of the global pandemic.

    I love the Spurs as much as anyone, and would love for them to have a new arena downtown, but committing to doing that now would be just as stupid as somebody buying a brand new Mercedes when their house is about to be foreclosed on.
