To prepare to talk about the Lakers Windhorst spends the night before naked on his couch with lotion and Kleenex sitting infront of his lifesize Labron poster.
for the love of god, tim's voice always irritate me
Tim Bontemps is super annoying. Stop interrupting you Clown.
Dynasty is gonna look different with new owners, hope there's no new curse
Excellent podcast! Please do more videos in this same vein. We want to hear about the business behind the NBA
The Bontemps Collective. What a guy.
57:10 Trae young is not Julius randle tho
People are sleeping on how well Davion Mitchell played down the stretch for the Heat. He's starting to live up to what I thought he was as a player. Starting 5 Mitchell, Hero, Powell, Bam, Ware.
28:48 MacMahon: "We drank a lot of wine, or somewthing". The phrase "In vino veritas" is an ancient and time-honored expression familiareven to many Americans. LOL What an idiot!
As a heat fan love the heat talk 🙏🏼🙏🏼
I don’t think new ownership makes much of difference for the Lakers. Are they going to go replace JJ with a someone they like more? Rob is trash and should be gone but are they going to go and replace him? Even if they do there’s a hard cap, and it’s not like max players will be lining up to take pay cut.
1:01:36 Jamal Murray has jokic in playoffs herro is getting doubled idc if Jamal is better in playoffs
Bontempts continually putting Tyler herro in the same conversation as Trae young is diabolical! Stop
Would be cool if they had KG & Pierce in this pod. Would be cool to see Bill Simmons on All The Smoke. Or Zach Lowe on Melo Podcast or Teague podcast. Clashing perspectives! Riveting exchanges lol
Tyler herro is a clear tier below every player they mention during the Tyler herro segment 😂😭🤣
Bontemps is wrong. Trae, Fox, LaMelo have all been designated the team’s #1 player for multiple years and had the team built around them. Herro has never been designated the #1 & the team has done nothing to build a team around him. He rose to the #1 spot with the cards stacked against him
Weeee talk about the NBA😂😂
9:35 is why I love these 3 😂
Reporting today out Portland is saying some members of potential ownership group have histories NBA may not care to have connected to the league. This sale just got a bit shaky.
Sucks that Windy is leaving ESPN
Makes me sad that Lakers have new guidance :(. With J Buss it’s just been a big cocktail party ….. one bad personnel- draft & $ decision after another which has kept them as a joke & provided great comic relief for years and years ….. sorry kidz … the mouse title will NEVER count !!
Anyhoo ….such fun watching the misery and ownership didn’t have clue ….. it was comedic GOLD !!!
Sadly now the new owner really knows what he is doing & it’s a matter of time before he buys a new team and in 2031 will start drafting again …. Until then …let the laughs continue & watch the demise of the Lebron era flame out 😎
Heat should’ve paid Jimmy when they had the chance. Now they’re looking at paying Herro like a max player. 2027 not gonna look good for them either
Thanks for not going through that last one 🙏 Idk if I could’ve made it through the rest of the video.
Excellent Analysis on Trail Blazers!
Tyler could be the 2nd best player on a team. So can Bam. But neither of them can be the best player on a championship team. Miami need to move one of them for a true superstar and add them to this core. Bam for Zion and Missi would be nice.
Mavericks to vegas and Portland to dallas 😂
Why should the government pay when player and owners are making billions its fkn ridicolous
Socialism for the wealthy but of course USA ok with that but Zohran wants to open a supermarket where noone else will to help ppl oh nooooo
Even if the heat got giannis they wouldnt be much better than the bucks they need to draft a good player
The difference between murray and all these guys is Murray has shown up twice in the playoffs playing as a max player and one resulted in a championship.. So sure he is up and down but you got two max play off performances out of him sometimes thats all you get from really good players as well.. Also Fox wow that is a terrible contract
I hate to say it, but in 5 years IDK if any sport will have local coverage like the Lakers do. Everything will be a subscription service. It's going in the opposite direction of what cable tried to do. Cable tried to bring us as many channels as possible for once price. Exposing viewers to much, much more advertising opportunities to make money off of than local markets could offer. Now companies want to scoop up a fraction of the advertising opportunities, make up the cash (somehow) with only sub fee's and less advertising revenue.
I have no idea how this is going to play out. It seems like a giant trough that everyone could eat from and fill their belly is being widdled down to a few bites of scraps for everyone. I think that the greed to turn streaming into the new gold rush isn't going to pan out and if that bubble bursts, TV will be a dead medium and there won't be any way to put the genie back in the bottle. I could be very wrong about this, but I think that owners are scared of the future and are smart to sell now while franchise values are at record highs.
The Celtics sale could honestly reshape the Eastern Conference for the next decade. Ownership direction always trickles down to roster-building.
So nice to not have the Timberwolves being the center of conversation in podcasts like this….
Max Bam and max Herro, the team is cooked.
Please make your own channel for this podcast. Need it ASAP signed fans
MacMahon is extremely hot. Really really hot.
I tuneed into this to listen to Brian. Instead. I have Tim B pontificating ,going on and on repeating himself and everything he's saying is either self-evident or wrong, Jesus.
A lot of these pundits are about to find out about Cam Johnson. He and MPJ are not interchangeable
Ty Lue has NOT won a chip with the Clippers. Frank Vogel won with the Lakers. Stfu Bontemps 🙃
Allez Bontemps!!!!
Skip to 41:15 is when the podcast actually begins. Who wants to hear them talk about teams getting sold for 40 minutes ? I know I don’t.
I'm a Lakers fan, though was hoping new ownership would sweep Jeannie, Rob, and the Rambis family would be gone. Jeannie had it written into the sale she would maintain front office for at least five years. They will never win a chip again with them in the front office.
6:34 they did this because wyc had shown he was willing to spend and there was/is questions on whether bill chisolm will do the same. They were laundering the new owner
