I know JT is ahead of schedule somewhat, but it’d be foolish to risk bringing him back too early. This is going to be a transitional season and nothing more. I still feel like Boston could make some noise though. I’m going to miss Wyc. He was a down to earth guy and I remember when he, Corinne and their boy would sit front row under the basket. Grousbeck’s son Campbell is blind, and Wyc would commentate on the game and what was happening as his son listened. The Grousbecks founded a gene therapy center at Mass Eye & Ear and have donated a ton to Perkin’s School For the Blind. Just good people.

"Fans." Uh huh. Intentionally sitting your best player (for up to 3 months no less) and tanking (that's a swear word here. Leave NE. Immediately. Move to Philly or Sacramento). Both "ideas" reflect people who don't understand sport, competition, excellence or the city of Boston. I'd also call it idiotic, but tons of idiots might feel insulted.
No one’s tanking the pritching season is soon upon us same with brown he didn’t even qualify for awards last year he’s bout to come in hot for better or worse and these guys can have break out seasons and still not close out wins it’s not either or
Is Jaylen still Jalen, though? We really don’t know. He didn’t look like the same Jaylin at the end there. Not being a just playing devils advocate here what happens if Jalen comes out and is not the same player? Now you’ve lost all the trade value and you’re stuck building around two super max guys who are injured. It’s not crazy to have these thoughts…these are possibilities that should be weighed. Because of that situation happens, you’re stuck in it like a 10 year rebuild. Kawhi Leonard and Paul George clippers 2.0.

Brad Stevens could coach the team without JT to the ECF most likely. He's going to have to look over mazzulas shoulder and make sure he is maximizing the talent. I'll just say that…
Celtics fans are acting like Lakers fans. Or maybe there's some imposters up in here. Danny ainge is only huge mistake was when he pulled the trigger and traded Isaiah Thomas and underestimated Kyrie Irving's ties to LeBron James
They will probably make a decision to Tank or not in February. They will see where they are at that point, and still have time to sit Jaylen or whatever they have to do to get themselves in the bottom 10.
If they are disappointed in the team performance, it probably means Jaylen hasn't played well enough to win them games. Maybe at that point he wants to allow himself to rest for the 2nd half of the season and gear up for when Jayson comes back.
But there is just as much of a chance that Jaylen, White, and/or Pritchard take a leap (all 3 of these guys tend to get better every year) and there are other teams in the east that have been disappointing, and the Cs are like 4th in the east at All-Star.
At that point you make a run and maybe surprise some people in the playoffs.
I think Tatum comes back in March 2026 and we get him ramped up for the playoffs.
Honestly I predict we end up at the 6th seed.
