even if we want him, I have no doubt other teams already offered way more for Malik.
It doesn't mean anything. His last salary was $8 million. There are other interested teams that can pay much more than the veteran minimum wage, which is the maximum the Knicks can pay.
The only thing that could convince him to join the Knicks at that salary and as a reserve, would be the opportunity to win a championship. That's assuming none of the other interested teams have that status. Unfortunately, I don't believe this will happen.
