The 1997-98 season was the final season for Charles Oakley in a Knicks uniform, and after Patrick Ewing went down with a season-ending injury, the Knicks needed their enforcer. Oakley filled in at center for most of the season, and even earned a second-team All-Defense selection, and even without Ewing, the Knicks still made the playoffs.
