There is flaws with this team, concerns with Austin, LeBron’s age, but Luka being as good as he is kind of cancels all of that out, like Bron in 2018,Jokic in 2023, or curry in 2022/16. Regular season wise? If we stay healthy? We can probably win 53-55 games off of our offense alone. The difference between us being a great regular season team and a real championship contender is literally one trade for an upgrade at the wing position for lineup versatility, maybe another back up big, but in my eyes, those potential moves take us from good team to super team. Bias? Maybe, but we’re already a good team. For the first time Bron won’t be our best player and he can just coast. If we’re healthy, the only possible reality for us is being better than people expect, and if we trade for a starting 3&D, we can legitimately win a championship. OKC is better, Denver, but it’s not like as we are we can’t beat them. Like I said a trade is needed, but not many teams in the west can’t f with us, even Minnesota, and especially not golden state. Golden states little run reminded me of us back in 2023. We were drowning with Westbrook, so getting dlo felt like such a massive upgrade when in reality it was all mental, opened up the floor and took pressure off of AD and Bron, so we had momentum which is why we made the WCF. If anyone is going to be trash this year, it’s golden state, unless they trade kuminga for Giannis or something.

You guys are blind if you think this team will win anything. Luka is soft on defense, Reaves, LeBron, Rui Hachimura ALL SOFT DEFENSERS, on the court at the same time. LeBron doesn’t care about defense, he’s only about stat padding at this point.

I would grade Lakers off-season as a B+ . I would also add that if Lakers attempted to trade the Lakers tax would have been in effect. Teams would have asked for everything from the Lakers. Ayton is better that Hayes so how can anyone say that he is not a upgrade. Having a defense minded veteran like Smart can help also add upgrade.
