Casuals don't want him because they think he was bad in LA but the reality is, he was just having a bad shooting season. He shot roughly the same percentage from deep in Utah, prior to being traded.

People in the comments didn’t watch lakers games back then, Malik was playing well when he first got to LA. The problem was LeBron got hurt and the coaches forced Malik to play a different style a basketball that he couldn’t do which was to create his own shot. By the time LeBron came back from injury Malik was in the dog house not getting any minutes. Malik needs a facilitator to get him the ball.
He can’t shoot in LA! Too much pressure! It has been proven which is why we didn’t signed him back a few years ago!
