  1. Also to give information, group stage is like regular season so your standing matters. 1st place of the group will play the knock out against 4th place from the other group and 2nd 3rd etc. So game against Serbia will matter because it will be for first place in the group.

  2. Turkish national team looks like Housten Rockets… Both don't have proper 3 point shooters(pre KD) Turkey badly needs a KD trade too…

  3. In the old world things are working a bit different. Team play beats individual talent. So we can't say that Turkey is the clear favorite for the 2. Spot.
Turkish team has to figure out a lot of things on the road, that first game will be decisive.

  4. They been sleepin on Houston whole season, now they are sleepin on my country, show them Alpi !

  5. Jackson thank you for your support we appreciate it a lot. I will be in Letland to watch the games so if you want some pictures or videos etc. i would love to send it to you. 🫡

  6. I am not expecting much from Turkey. Our 3pt shot is super inconsistent and one game elimination is horrible for that. Shane Larkin is the only good floor general we have.

  7. Ulan yabancı adam bile özen göstermiş Türkiye diye yazmış bizim kardaşlar hala Turkey yazıyor. Değişim dilde başlar. Günlük hayatta siz kullanmazsanız kimse kullanmaz.

  8. Friendlies are one thing, but the real test comes when the actual championship starts.
Don’t forget, last year, Houston was knocked out in the Western Conference First Round. I don’t mind cheering for your team, but let’s be honest… Houston isn’t exactly a powerhouse. LOL

  9. Thank you very much for your sincere comments.I think Türkiye has a chance to win a medal if it succeeds in becoming a team.

  10. While discussing current players on the Turkish national basketball team who have played in the NBA, you seem to have forgotten center Ömer Faruk Yurtseven, who started his career at Fenerbahce Sports Club….
On October 5, 2015, he became the youngest player to play in an NBA preseason game when he played in Fenerbahce Sports Club's friendly against the Brooklyn Nets at Barclays Arena. Fenerbahce Sports Club, with Bogdan Bogdanovic playing guard, won the game 101-96….
After playing for several years in the NBA with Miami and Utah, he now plays for Panathinaikos of the EuroLeague…

  11. Dear Jackson
Great coverage of our National Team & Alperen. I want to mention another topic, which is Adem Bona. You know, last year was his rookie year with the 76ers. He is an anomaly defensively. And he played with Alpy from the under-16 National Team of Turkiye. They know each other very well. Houston can really benefit from Adem's monstrous athleticism. He is a specimen. Need offensive aid from the coaches. Please check the NBA defensive numbers of the big men. You will see Adem Bona. If he can be trained offensively, his path will eventually evolve like the Greek Freak's.

  12. I remember when the NBA first started broadcasting in Turkey in the late ’80s—we watched the Lakers and Celtics. Then came Jordan’s Bulls, and basketball fans naturally gravitated toward them. Over time, whichever team was popular, fans followed it passionately.

Today, it’s different. There’s now a large generation of kids who watch and support the Houston Rockets. Of course, this is the NBA, players get traded (just look at Doncic). One day, Alpi might be traded too. But we live in the now. Currently, young Turkish fans (and Turkey has a very knowledgeable NBA community) know the names Amen Thompson, Jabari Smith Jr., Fred VanVleet, and more.

As a result, the Rockets’ fan base is bigger than ever in franchise history. It’s not just Turkiye, support extends to Azerbaijan, Pakistan, India. People are excited to watch the Rockets, especially with Kevin Durant joining the roster.

In short, the Rockets’ fan base no longer just consists of Houston locals. As for me, I’ve been a die-hard Rockets fan since I first watched Hakeem Olajuwon, and I wouldn’t be this happy if Alperen played for another team.
