Brown being defense first wasn't just as the Cavs head coach. Brown was the main defensive assistant with the Warriors as well. He was defense first in San Antonio as an assistant too. That's how Brown came up…DEFENSE. He seemed like he was an offensive coach with the Kings but that was because of the personnel they had which were geared to offense first. The Kings only chance to compete was to try to play fast and outscore teams. Browns so-called offensive impact was an aberration in Sac, and it didn't amount to jack squat. It's deceiving for you now because the Kings and Knicks are not apples to apples. This is obvious to me and when reality sets in next January it'll be obvious to you as well. If you've got big offensive dreams under Mike Brown for these Knicks (more than what they accomplished last year which was good), then you are going to be disappointed. This will be fun to watch from the outside. The Knicks were more of an offensive team last year than they were a defensive team and that was with a defensive first coach like Thibs. What you should really be worried about is how are you going to play championship level defense with Brunson and Towns as your two best players. The Knicks offense was actually good last year although I'm sure you didn't like Brunson always having to play hero ball to make it happen. If you are looking for Offensive Einstein, Mike Brown ain't him. Mike Brown needs to convince Brunson to take a step back to let other people come up. This is what happened in Cleveland last year with Donovan Mitchell and the offensive efficiency and win total exploded. That was all because Donovan Mitchell grew up. This is what you have to hope ends up happening in New York this year. Brunson has to buy in, or it won't work.

The best lineup is with Mitch at the 5 and Hart on the bench. However, Brunson has to stop being a ball stopper early on. In late game situations ok, if we need a bucket let him cook but he needs to get the other guys more involved in the offense early on. I’m not a fan of the Brunson & Deuce backcourt because they are both to small. No matter how aggressive Deuce is defensively he still has a problem with bigger guards. So no I don’t agree with that. It’s going to be a task for Brown to stop Brunson from holding the ball as long as he does. Also, we still need another PG because Kolek isn’t it.
If Towns continues with the drop coverage and doesn't put his hands up on defense, I don't care who starts at center the Knicks are not going anywhere!

We should utilize Mitch in the 3man pick and roll/pop. Also, I believe Mitch is a better offensive player than he was allowed space to be. I would add that The Captain and Bodega KAT should have an amazing two-man statistical season. Training camp is gonna be very telling not to mention hella important! Last thing I wanna say, I wanna see the reel where The Captain reminiscing about Kobe says "The Mamba Mentality is contagious and I got from Kobe (or Kobe recognized it in me)…catch it. Who ever becomes weak on defense and offense and rebound
Like if they are a big point guard pushing duce back then insert big Ben Sims
If they are leaving hart to shot and he doesn't do well then insert shammet
Let Ben guard all 5 positions and keep switching on every position
Let shammet stay at catch and shot with the ball and with out the ball
But we must keep shammet and add on big Ben Sims and send kolek to the g league and refix his contract for shammet and add on big Ben Sims
And let Sims by that unicorn for us and also remember Sims is a unicorn on defense and all 5 positions
And for Mitch another unicorn for us on defense
That's 2 unicorn on every single positions switching on everything plus being big on everything
And remember this that Mitch and Sims don't got to score a point but just play defense for all 5 positions
And we must protect Bronson with protection with big Ben
So keep shammet and add on big Ben Sims and send kolek to the g league and refix his contract for shammet and add on big Ben
