This is A comment during the morning show in regard to Jonathan Kuminga and Paul George.
Paul George gets a bad reputation and some of it well deserved but Paul George legit only cares about winning.
He one million percent cares more about winning then his personal stats and I saw Him put up MONSTER playoff game stats his last two games As A Pacer against Lebron led Cavs and lose and be absolutely devastated.
He scored almost 40 points both games and filled up the stat line and went head to head with Lebron and was so devastated and frustrated that they still lost He asked for A trade.
The fact He filled up the stat line meant almost nothing. Not too many NBA players You can say that about in the entire league.
The HUGE difference between Paul George and Kuminga were one expectations. Being drafted 13th I believe and being drafted 6th overall I believe Kuminga was has different expectations and higher scrutiny
And in regard to the Danny Granger comments, Danny Granger for A 3 year period was legit one of the most underrated players in NBA history.
Literally not ONCE did Granger ask for A trade when they retooled after all the malice in the palace players were gone.
He NEVER complained all He did was work on his game. He had A BAG and the season He almost averaged 26ppg He shot 40 percent from 3 before the 3 ball was anywhere near the thing it is now.
George freely admits He owes almost all his early development going against Granger every day in practice. Granger was maybe the best locker room Guy in the entire NBA.
Pacers were ousted by Lebron's Miami Heat 3 straight seasons but the last full healthy season of Granger's career Pacers were up 2-1 in that series. Miami beat OKC in the championship that year 4-1 so that should tell You something about that Pacer team.
They took the Heat to 7 the season after and should have won both games in Miami and been up 2-0 going back to Indiana but lost the first game in OT by one point I believe. Granger didn't play at all that entire playoffs that's when Lance emerged.
And finally the Pacers the following season started like 17-1 and were blazing through the NBA. Granger finally was healthy after almost two seasons but the integration wasn't smooth at all and the Pacers started losing. Bird made a rare huge mistake and traded Granger for Evan Turner and years down the line after the Pacers started losing ALOT they all attributed them not winning the east that year to that Granger trade Because it messed up the locker room chemistry.
Any way my entire point was supposed to be that I'm not denting Steph's greatness obviously but really none of the Warriors draft choices panned out except Jordan Poole those two years and even his last season there was pretty bad.
I'm not convinced at all that Kuminga has ever had his Danny Granger in the locker room as a mentor. It's into his career long enough now where that ship has sailed possibly but he'd benefit from feeling like someone had his back 100 percent and was bringing the best out of Him.
His entire Warriors career has been adversarial. I'd still Iike to see what He'd look like on a different team.
So ahhhh….. what the eff is keegan up to these days. Is he developing his OFFENSIVE BASKETBALL SKILLS.
If keegan remains KEEGAN on offense, it's going to be a LONG@SS regular season.
And before the low iq kings fans starts blaming demar and lavine for keegan's TRASH BASKETBALL DEVELOPMENT, blame keegan first.
