Lakers made 3rd in the league with Luka only half the season and no defence. This new team is twice as strong on defence than last year. Reeves has the whole year now to integrate with the new players. Even if the West is stacked our team still better than our playoff run. Sheesh, the Lakers lose Davis and add Luka, and the "We need a big" conversation isn't as pressing because NOW the Lakers need more help on the perimeter?
The perimeter being the bigger weakness was the issue last season when Davis was on the team. But stripping the backcourt even more and using picks on a backup center is all I ever heard about.
If Vando has ANY type of consistent offense this season that will put the Lakers over the top.
